CLEANING
Cleanallmetalpartsexceptbearings,inasuitablecleaningsolventorbysteamcleaning.
Donotusecausticsodaforsteamcleaning.
Aftercleaning,dryandputoilonallparts.
Cleanoilpassageswithcompressedair.
Cleanbearingsinasuitablecleaningsolvent,
drythebearingscompletelyandputoilonthebearings.
INSPECTION
Checkallpartswhenthepartsaredisassembled.
Replaceallpartsthathavewearordamage.
Smallscoringorgroovescanberemovedwithahoneorcrocuscloth.
Completeavisualinspectionforindicationsofwear,pittingandthereplacementofpartsnecessarytopreventearly
failures.
BEARINGS
Checkbearingsforeasyaction.
Ifbearingshavealoosetorroughactionreplacethebearing.
Washbearingswithasuitablecleaningsolventandpermittoairdry.
DONOTDRYBEARINGSWITHCOMPRESSEDAIR.
NEEDLEBEARINGS
Beforeyoupressneedlebearingsinaborealwaysremoveanymetalprotrusionsintheboreoredgeofthebore.
Beforeyoupressbearingsintopositionputpetroleumjellyontheinsideandoutsidediameterofthebearings.
GEARS
Checkallgearsforwearanddamage.
Replacegearsthathavewearordamage.
Oilseals,O-ringsandgaskets.
Alwaysinstallnewoilseals,O-ringsandgaskets.
PutpetroleumjellyonsealsandO-rings.
SHAFTS
Checkallshaftsthathavewearordamage.
Checkthebearingandoilsealsurfacesoftheshaftsfordamage.
SERVICEPARTS
AlwaysinstallgenuineCaseserviceparts.
Whenorderingrefertothe

Ifhydraulicoilunderpressuredoespenetratetheskin,seekmedicaltreatmentimmediately.

1.Purpose
CheckagainsttheROPSjudgmentcriteriatojudgewhetherthemachinesatisestheROPScriteriaornot.
TheweightandboomofthemachinegreatlyeffectswhethertheROPSjudgmentcriteriaissatisedornot.
TheROPStestassumesthattheweightbeingusedistheweightofthemachinewhenthemaximumnumberof
selectableoptionsaremounted(asof2009).
However,dependingonthederivativemachineryortheorderdetails,theweightandboompositionmaydiffer
fromtheassumedweightorposition.
2.CriteriaforjudgingwhetheramachinesatisestheROPScriteria
1)Weight
Theweightmustnotbeovertheweightshownbelowforeachclass.
Iftheweightisexceeded,thereisadangerthatthecabcouldbedamagedandtheoperatorcoulddieor
sustainaseriousinjurywhenthemachinefallsover.
Iftheweightexceedsthestipulatedweight,themachinewillnotsatisfytheROPScriteria.

TosatisfytheROPScriteria,theweightmustnotbeovertheindicatedweight.(Thebelowweightsare
theweightsindicatedonthenameplatewithintheROPScab)
