3. Initial Device Registering
CashDro3 has two external ca les:
•Power supply ca le
•Ethernet ca le
Verify that oth ca les are connected to the power supply and to the internet network
respectively.
CashDro3 must have internet connection in order to carry out following functions:
•Initial configuration and registration of the device
•Software update
•Change of any internal device
•Monitoring and remote support
In order to turn on CashDro3 press the switch that is located in the right side of the device.
When CashDro3 is switched on for a first time, the user is guided through the num er of
steps that allows to customize the device. Firstly, the language of the software must e
chosen.
It is also needed to choose region, country and time zone.

When these steps are performed, CashDro3 makes necessary adjustments, tests that all the
devices are functioning correctly and shows this screen.
After pressing “Continue” on the following screen it will e required the password for the
user “support”, who manages the technical support, configuration of the device and the
management of the technical users.

It is recommended that this password is entered y the technical personnel who manages
these functions.
On the next screen the Administrator’s password will e asked (user: “admin”). This user will
e used y the client and has the function of managing the device non-technical users.
Therefore:
•The user “support” will e used y the certified technician and will manage the
technical users.
•The user “admin” will e used y the client and will manage all the device non-
technical users.
Later we must indicate if the equipment will work linked with a POS or autonomously (Stand-
Alone).
Later we must enter the email address that will e associated to the admin user. CashDro3
will send immediately a verification code to this email address. This verification code is
needed to complete the next step.

Enter the verification code received y email.
After the verification code is introduced, CashDro3 will initialize the devices and internal CPU
and the following screen will appear in touchscreen indicating the end of the CashDro
configuration.
CashDro3 is ready to work. When pressing “Finalize” the service will restart and CashDro
will request the authorized technical service credentials.

Once validated the credentials, the selection of users screen will appear.
To access to technical users, press on the top-right corner icon. Pressing again in the same
icon, the system comes ack to the first screen of non-technical users.
To access the menu select a user and enter his password.

CashDro3 comes y default with three general users (non-technical users) and one technical
user.
•General Users:
◦User “admin”: the password of this user is the one indicated during the initial
assistant explained efore. By default it has access to all the operations, except
the device configuration. It is thought to e used y the owner of the device and the
person who manages the cash.
◦User “manager”: Has access to Operations and Consults and it is meant for the
manager or person in charge of the esta lishment. The password has to e
defined from from the Users Configuration y the admin user.
◦User “user”: has access only to some Operations and Consults and is though for
the sellers that don’t have permission to withdraw money. The password must e
defined from user configuration y admin user.
•Technical user:
◦User “Support”: the password of this user is the one indicated during initial
assistant explained efore. By default it has access to the device configuration and
some options in the consults menu. It is thought to e used y the technical
personnel in charge of the device maintenance.

4. Software update
Every time we turn on CashDro3, it checks if a software update is availa le and if so, the
update process is activated.
There are two update modes: manual or automatic.
The update mode is defined y the manufacturer, according to the estimated update time.
When it is anticipated that the update time will e long, the update is defined in manual
mode, for the user execute it when he wants to. If the update time is short, it can e defined
in automatic mode.
4.1 Automatic update
When turning on CashDro3, the equipment detects automatically the existence of an
automatic update and it shows a screen informing the eginning of the update process.
Two uttons appear on the screen, if you press the “Update” utton the update process will
start. If you do not press any utton, the update will start automatically after a few seconds.
If you don't want the update to start at this time, press the “Cancel” utton.
The update screen appears again each time you turn on CashDro3 until update is done.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF THE EQUIPMENT DURING THE UPDATE PROCESS.
IF YOU DO SO, IT COULD CAUSE A SERIOUS FAILURE.
4.2 Manual update (only technical users)
The manual update process can only e done y a technical user with permission to access
the configuration. By default, the only user who has access is “Support”.
This update is launched when the estimated time is long. This way, the user can execute it
when he may have the necessary time to perform, so that during the update process you can
not use CashDro3.

To run the update access to section “Configuration” of the main menu and then press
“Actions”.
Once inside press the option “Update CashDro”.
Note: This option is only shown when there is an ena led update.
When you press on this option the following screen is displayed to enter the Official ATS
credentials. If you do not know your credentials, contact with your wholesaler.

Finally, press the utton “Update CashDro” to run the update process. During the process is
displayed the following screen where is shown in all moment the updating progress.
During downloading process, appears in the upper right corner of the screen an icon to
access to Emergency system, who allows reset machine and reset service in case of the
uploading has een stopped.
The update includes the update of the software followed y the update of the firmware of the
devices. Afterward it is not necessary to make any firmware update manually.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF CASHDRO DURING THE UPDATE PROCESS.
IF YOU TURN OFF CASHDRO COULD PRODUCE A SERIOUS BREAKDOWN.

5. Device Customization
Although CashDro3 is pre-configured at the factory, it is recommended to review the
configuration points listed in this chapter. A correct installation implies configuring the
equipment according to the real needs of each client.
5.1 Users
We must define different user profiles that the client wants to have and we must configure
each user’s profile. We can modify y default users and/or create new users.
You can access at “Users” section from the Configuration menu of CashDro3 with the user
“admin” or “support”. Each user’s roles are explained ellow:
•User Admin: can create new users (non technical) and assign the rights that it has to
the other users.
•User Support: It can create new technical users and assign the rights that it has to
the other users.
Users management is done from the menu option “Configuration-Users” and it is explained in
12.1 Users section.
5.2 Documents printing
CashDro3 allows the configuration of a thermal printer that prints a receipt after the
execution of an operation. Two steps are required to configure receipt printing:
•Configure company data. These data will appear in the header of the receipts. Menu
option "Configuration-Company data", detailed in section 12.2 Company data.
•Configure the printer and the receipts to e printed. Menu option "Configuration-
Printing", detailed in section 12.3 Printing.
5.3 Bills denominations or recycling
By default CashDro3 recycles two ills denominations defined y the factory according to the
client currency and country.
If we want to modify this set up, we must go to the menu section “Configuration-
Currencies”, detailed in section 12.5 Currencies.
Important: In order to recycle ills of another denomination the corresponding pieces of the
recycler must e changed. Consult manual CD3 – Manual ills recycler denominations
changing.

5.4 Screen orientation
We must define if the device will face the client or the seller. In order to configure this
parameter access the section from “Configuration-General Parameters”.
In case the device is configured to face the client, we can define also if we want allow Cancel
o Finalize an operation from 7” touch screen of CashDro3, which is explained in 12.6.1.2
Screen orientation.
When the screen is configured oriented to the client, CashDro3 doesn’t show alerts destined
to seller as some messages and the levels alerts ar.

6. Start Up
Before starting to work with CashDro3 it is essential to carry out three final tasks.
6.1 De ining deposit
Before staring to work with CashDro3 it's necessary to define a deposit level (also known as
cash-float or initial change). For this, go to the menu section Operations-Deposit
Calculation and configure the Deposit of your choice manually. Deposit must correspond to
the necessity of cash and allow to give all necessary changes during the working day or turn.
See details in section 10.1 Deposit Calculation.
IMPORTANT: 20-30 days after the set-up of CashDro3 it is recommended to visit the client
and to execute the option “Calculate Deposit” that is located in the top of the screen. This
option calculates the real Deposit ased on the history of transactions. Once the calculation
is made, we must show the results to the client and readjust the Deposit to the real necessity.
6.2 Initial charge
Once the Deposit is set up we can charge cash to CashDro3 for a first time. For this go to
the menu section “Operations-Charge”. See details in section 10.2 Charge.
