Connecting to a Device using Bluetooth Relay –Continued
Once your BLE device is connected to the Hub using the Cassia App, please proceed as follows:
1. Place the BLE device out of standard Bluetooth range of your phone (E.g. at least 50 feet)
2. Stand next to the Hub with your phone to pair to the relayed signal coming from your Hub
3. Open your BLE device’s native app
4. Follow your Device’s native app for device pairing instructions
Note: In some cases the App may see two device names, which means that your BLE device is still in range of
your phone app. Continue moving the device away from your phone, until you only see one Device name
available for pairing. Then, proceed to pair with the one device.
Important: BLE devices that require a “pairing pin” or “security pin” do not currently work with the Cassia Hub.
Tips, Tricks & Troubleshooting
1. On Main screen, tap on Speaker icon to assign speaker left, center or right. Then type on upper right
gear icon on speaker setup page, to assign to different room, rename, or remove speaker.
2. During playback, if multi-speaker audio playback gets out of sync, press Pause/Play, Forward, or Back on
the Audio controls screen in the Cassia Hub app and the streams will be re-sync’d. We recommend you
use speakers from the same manufacturer for best audio syncing. If speakers are from different
manufacturers, you may have to place them in different rooms to avoid syncing issues.
3. Tap on Scene icon at the bottom of the Main screen to setup If-this-than-that (IFTTT) logic.
E.g. Wake up to music playing in the morning each day at 7:00AM.
4. To associate a new user profile with a Cassia Hub that is already in use, you must be invited by the Host
Profile. To do this, Host must proceed as follows:
a. Tap on USER CENTER
b. Tap on MY HOME
c. Tap on MEMBERS
d. Tap on INVITE A MEMBER.
Note: In the user’s phone contact list, they must select the mobile number matching the profile of the
new user. If it does not already exist, the Host must add the user’s mobile phone number to their
phone’s contact directory
5. Once you have successfully connected to a WiFi network, in order to switch and use a different Access
Point (WiFi Router), you will need to proceed as follows:
a. Connect your iOS or Android mobile device to new WiFi network in Settings menu on device
b. Reset the Cassia Hub -
i. Locate LED on back of Hub
ii. While powered on, take a paper clip and insert it into the LED hole
iii. Depress and hold down the LED switch for approx. 4 seconds or until the LED starts to
flash rapidly
iv. The reset process is complete when the LED starts to flash red slowly
