DEMINERALISED WATER
Please remember to use only demineralised water without additives..
WARNING: in case of loading of not demineralised water or with a very high conductivity
(more than 80 µS), the water loading will stop indicating that water is not appropriate.
If you are still intentioned to use inappropriate water you can proceed to the load by
pressing the ENTER button and after START.
The water loading will be suspended every 10 seconds, the display will shown the relevant
warning until demineralised water will be loaded.
The use of not demineralised water significantly shortens the useful life of the sterilizer and
invalidates the warranty.
The machine will register the sterilization cycles done with inappropriate water.
We recommend to empty as soon as possible the loading tank containing the unsuitable
water loaded trough the rear tap (36) and to load demineralised water.
(10) – WASTE WATER DRAINAGE – Grey or Black right button coupling
When the Waste Water Tank is full the sterilizer warns of the need to empty such tank
through the Tank FULL icon flashing on the display; to empty the tank proceed as
follows:
Introduce one end of the appropriate hosepipe (supplied) in an empty can having a
minimum capacity of 3 litres.
Connect the pipe-fitting on the other end to the Grey or Black “Empty Waste Water Tank”
coupling; the WASTE Water tank will empty by “gravity”, wait 1-2 minutes for the operation
to be completed. It is recommended NOT to re-use waste water.
(50) – FITTING FOR DEMINERALIZER
On the rear a fitting is placed, which is connected to the clean water tank; to this fitting
proper demineralizers can be connected producing demineralized water through water
softeners or reverse osmosis by using the main network water.
In case demineralizers are used, water loading shall be Automatically set through the
SETTING / H2O AUTO/MANUAL menu
.
STAND-BY
Use of the “STAND-BY" function
When active, it cuts the electric power consumption to a minimum, by turning off the pre-
heating system. It can be manually activated by pressing the key on the display or
automatically after a (programmable) non operation period of the appliance.
To activate again the appliance operation press the STAND BY key

In the SETTING menu select the STAND BY function and select after how long (15 / 30 / 60
/ 90 / 120 min.) the appliance shall activate automatic STAND BY, press ENTER to confirm.
Apart from the steps when the appliance is sterilizing, the STAND BY function becomes
active when the appliance has received no commands during the set time.
The displayed message is “STAND BY”
the program remains in STAND BY condition until the key STAND BY on the touch
screen is pressed
DELAYED START
Use of the “DELAYED START" function.
This function delays the start of the selected cycle; the scope of this function is to allow
cycles to be performed even when no one is present.
Example: The cycle can be started during the lunch break, early in the morning before
arriving at the laboratory having pre-set the cycle the night before, or late at night when the
electricity costs are more convenient etc.
Select the DELAYED START function in the Menu and enter the time at which the
appliance should automatically start the cycle.
When the DELAYED START function is used, remember to carry out the following
operations first:

♦Check that there is water in the clean water tank
♦Check whether the waste water tank needs emptying
♦Select the cycle
After having completed all of the above mentioned operations, press the DELAYED
START key on the Touch-screen Display.
The cycle start time will appear on the information bar.
At the end of the cycle the appliance will indicate “CYCLE COMPLETED”
DRYING
Use of the “DRYING" function.

It allows to synchronize the cycles stored in the USB flash drive and the ones stored in the
appliance memory.
By selecting the proper Synchronizing key the appliance checks the cycles stored
in the connected USB flash drive and updates it by storing the missing ones
The appliance stores in its memory maximum 10/15 cycles, therefore it is recommended to
leave always the synchronized USB flash drive connected and to copy the stored data on
another magnetic device every month.
The USB flash drive contains a proper storing program, therefore it is absolutely necessary
to use the USB flash drive supplied by C.B.M.
PRINTER
Use of the “PRINTER" function (Optional)
Selecting this key activates the use of the printer and its functions, such as Print Last Cycle,
last 5 or 10 cycles. See also the integrated printer paragraph.

9 – ANTI-BACTERIA AIR FILTER:
During the drying phase with the door closed, the machine needs air from the outside to
balance the pressure inside the chamber. The anti-bacteria filter guarantees absolute
security during this phase. The filter must be periodically replaced (see Maintenance
section).
The anti-bacteria filter also guarantees the sterility status within the sterilizing chamber at
the end of the cycle therefore it is not advisable to use the sterilizer without it.
7 - MANOMETER:
During the sterilizing cycle pressure and vacuum conditions are created within the chamber
and are indicated by the vacuum manometer. In the event of a fault and/or blockage of the
appliance, check the manometer pressure reading and if internal residual pressure exceeds
0.5 bar, contact Service.

Carefully follow the operating instructions indicated by the manufacturer of the process
simulator.
Using the same Helix Test - Bowie & Dick test it is possible to check steam penetration
by means of the Bowie & Dick test pack.
Carefully follow the operating instructions indicated by the manufacturers of the
commercially available process simulators.
NOTE: the B&D process simulators used shall comply with the EN 867-5 Standards
reproducing a textile load not exceeding 2 Kg which is the equivalent of the maximum
sterilizer capacity; for further information see the EN ISO 17665 Standards.
It is suggested to periodically check the proper operation of the appliance with the
appropriate process simulators (chemical and/or biological) to ensure correct
sterilization.
AIR LEAKAGE TEST
The Air Leakage test must be carried out to check chamber tightness during the vacuum
phases.
During this test the appliance controls the vacuum phase for 10 minutes and automatically
checks for potential air leaks.
If the test complies with all established parameters, at the end the writing CYCLE
COMPLETED will appear on the display.
On the contrary, the corresponding alarm will be displayed and, in that case, it is suggested
to clean the door seal with a cotton wad soaked in alcohol and repeat the test. Should the
alarm be repeated, please contact Service.
For correct testing, the Air Leakage test must be carried out when the appliance is cold and
as the first cycle of the day, therefore carry out the cycle as soon as the appliance is
switched ON, without waiting for it to warm up.
It is suggested to periodically check the proper operation of the appliance; the EN
ISO 17665 Standards suggest the Air Leakage test be carried out every day.
WARNING: THE TEST CYCLES ARE USED ONLY IN ORDER TO CHECK THE
APPLIANCE OPERATION,
FOR STERILIZATION USE ONLY PROPER CYCLES
