OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Phileo VP & Phileo POD VP v1.0EN
3.1. Bluetooth® and Wifi control
The Phileo VP & Phileo POD VP control box has an embedded Bluetooth® and Wifi transmitter used to control your ap-
pliance from a smartphone or tablet. To be able to control the Phileo VP & Phileo POD VP, you need an iOs (Apple®) or
Android smartphone or tablet running Bluetooth® Low Energy (v4.x) or Wifi 802.11 b/n/g. Other operating systems (Windows
Phone®,...) or devices not running the above-mentioned pre-requisites are not supported.
For a Wifi connection, the local Wifi details (SSID and password) need to be entered and a Vigipool account created to connect
your Phileo VP & Phileo POD VP to the Wifi router and control the Phileo VP & Phileo POD VP using local Wifi and
remotely (see "Vigipool Universe" leaflet).
3.2. iOs / Android applications

You can also search for Phileo VP using the App Store and Play Store search engines
With Bluetooth, only one phone/tablet can be connected to the box at a time. To connect with
another device, you must first disconnect.
To enable the Bluetooth pairing, bring the phone/tablet up to the unit's contact when requested
by the app, or press the button on the device.
It is possible to automatically update the software embedded in the device. To do this, it must
be connected to WiFi or to another Vigipool device that is itself connected to WiFi. If you only
use the device via Bluetooth, it is possible to create an access point from your phone in order to
temporarily connect the device and update its software if necessary.
3.3. pH regulation
The pH, or potential Hydrogen, is a highly important parameter for water treatment. It has a strong influence on the efficiency
of disinfectants. The pH, or potential Hydrogen, measures the acidity of the water. Its value is between 0 and 14. A solution
with a pH of 7 is neutral. If the pH is below 7 the solution is acid and if it is above the solution is called basic or alkaline.
For the comfort of bathers, effective treatment and reliability of the installation, the swimming pool water pH must be kept at
about 7. A pH of between 6.8 and 7.8 is generally considered to be correct. Water which is too acid (pH < 6.8) is aggressive
to the mucous membranes, causes metal parts to corrode and may damage plastics (liners). Water which is too alkaline (pH >
7.8) may also be aggressive (caustic) and considerably reduce the effectiveness of the chlorine.
Users can configure the Phileo VP & Phileo POD VP for pH- mode or pH+ mode. In pH- mode, the Phileo VP & Phileo
POD VP injects PHminus to lower the pool pH and in pH+ mode, it injects PH plus to raise the pool pH.
In order to avoid possible measurement errors, it is recommended to check the sensor calibration once per month. To do this,
just follow the instructions in the CALIBRATION section.
The disinfectants and pH correctors used for pools can have an adverse effect on health and
the environment.
These chemicals must be handled with care and stored in an adapted location.
