Luxury Heel Smoother

Please read these instructions carefully before using your new Luxury Heel
Smoother for the rst time.
Please keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference.
WARNINGS
• Before using for the rst time ensure all packaging is removed and
disposed of in a responsible manner.
• Regular care and cleaning is essential to maintain your Luxury Heel
Smoother in peak working condition.
• This product is not designed to be waterproof and should not be stored in
wet or damp conditions.
• For external use only.
• Always store in a safe place to prevent accidental damage.
• Do not use near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing
water.
• Do not use the Luxury Heel Smoother for any purpose other than that for it
was designed for.
• This Luxury Heel Smoother is intended for home use only.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or
knowledge, unless they have been given instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with this
appliance.
• Do not use on an infant, invalid or on a sleeping or unconscious person.
• When not in use place appliance and attachments into the storage bag in a
safe, dry place out of children’s reach.
IMPORTANT
• If you have any concerns regarding your health, consult a doctor before
using this appliance.
• If you have Diabetes, circulatory or skin problems or susceptible to allergic
reactions consult your chiropodist or doctor before using this appliance.
• Do not use on sensitive, damaged, sunburned or chapped skin or any area
with dermatological problems.
• Do not use over skin eruptions, warts, moles or varicose veins.
• Use should be easy and painless. If you experience irritation or discomfort
when using this product, discontinue use. If a more extreme reaction
occurs, consult your doctor.
• Ensure your hands are dry when operating the controls.
• This product should never be used by any individual suering from any
ailments that would limit the user’s capacity to operate the controls.

BATTERY WARNINGS
• Follow equipment instructions carefully and always use the recommended
type of battery.
• Caution: danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced.
• Do not put batteries in re.
• Do not puncture, crush, dent or dismantle batteries.
• Do not attempt to revive primary batteries by heating, charging or other
means.
• Do not allow children to t batteries without adult supervision.
• Do not short circuit batteries by connecting the + and – terminals together.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of young children.
• Seek medical advice if you believe a battery has been swallowed.
• Store unused batteries in their original packaging away from metal objects
and in a well-ventilated cool dry place away from sunlight.
• Remove batteries if the product is not going to be used for an extended
period of time.
• Remove exhausted batteries promptly and dispose of them at a waste
battery collection facility.
• If battery leakage occurs and comes into contact with skin or eyes, wash
immediately with lots of water.
FITTING THE BATTERIES
1. The Luxury Heel Smoother uses two AA (LR6) Alkaline batteries.
2. To t the batteries push the battery cover o the unit.
3. Insert the batteries taking care to observe the correct polarity, +ve to +ve
and –ve to -ve.
4. Replace the battery cover.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1. Switch the unit to the o position (‘0’ setting)
2. Choose one of the interchangeable attachments and gently push it onto the top
of the unit (Figure 1)
3. Switch the unit on, selecting low (‘1’ setting) or high (‘2’ setting) speed setting.
4. Lightly apply the attachment to the skin surface.
5. Ensure the Luxury Heel Smoother is continually moving over the desired area.
Do not hold in one place.
6. Periodically stop treatment to check your results.
7. When nished, switch unit to the o position (‘0’ setting). Wait for the attachment to come to
a stop, then remove it for storage or replace with an alternative attachment.
8. After using, wipe the surface of each attachment with a damp cloth to remove residue.
ATTACHMENTS

The Luxury Heel Smother comes complete with two smoothing tools for removing calluses and
smoothing dry skin for beautiful results.

After Smoothing
After smoothing, bathe your feet to re-hydrate the skin. Soak your feet in a lukewarm bath for 15
minutes. Next, dry feet completely and massage Champneys Cracked Heel Balm into the skin.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Should your Luxury Heel Smoother fail to operate please check that it is being used in
accordance with the instructions. It is also important to make sure the battery is correctly tted, is
in good condition and you have tried a new battery.
You should also check that the battery cover is correctly tted and that the internal contact
between the battery cover and the switch unit is in correctly alignment.
If after checking the above, the Luxury Heel Smoother is found to be faulty and is within the
guarantee period, it should be returned to your nearest Boots store stocking this item together
with proof of purchase.
If the Luxury Heel Smoother is damaged it should NOT be used. This product contains no user
serviceable parts.

WARRANTY

In addition to your statutory rights, Champneys agrees that if any defect in materials or
workmanship appears in the product within two years after the original date of consumer
purchase it will repair or, at its option, replace the product free of charge. This applies only if
the product has been used for domestic purposes and has not been damaged through misuse,
accident or neglect and has not been modied or repaired by anyone other than an authorised
agent.

CLEANING

Clean the outside of the product using a damp, not wet, cloth and dry thoroughly before using.
DO NOT immerse in water.
DO NOT use petroleum based or ammable cleaning agents because of re risk.
DO NOT use abrasive cleaning agents.
DISPOSAL

In order to minimize hazards to health and the environment and ensure that materials can be
recycled, this product should be disposed of at a separate collection facility for waste electrical
and electronic equipment.
Batteries should be disposed of at a battery collection facility.
