a. Remove the ial an attache movement from case.
b. Insert batteries in battery compartment observing correct polarity (i.e. (+)
plus, (-) minus). The en of the battery compartment with the spring is the
negative en . Insert the negative en first.

a. Remove one battery from the battery compartment.
b. Set han s a few minutes ahea of actual time using the setting knob on the
back of the movement or by manually a justing the minute han ( o not
touch the hour han ).
c. When the set time coinci es with actual time, insert battery back in battery
hol er. The correct striking will start after 4:00, 8:00, or 12:00 o’clock. If
correct striking oes not resume, remove one battery for a short time an
reset the time.

The switch for activating the strike mechanism is locate in the lower right
corner of the back of the movement. Strike can be activate by moving the
switch to the B, or inactivate by moving the switch to the O.
PLEASE NOTE: Changing the batteries, switching the strike on, rapi a justment
of the han s, or any iligent shaking of the clock may result in a ran om striking
sequence. However, the striking sequence will be correct after either 4:00, 8:00,
or 12;00 o’clock. IT IS AN INHERENT FEATURE OF THIS CLOCK THAT THE
STRIKING MAY OCCUR UPTO 30 SECONDS BEFORE OR AFTER THE
PRECISE TIME.

The lou ness of the strike can be a juste using the knob locate in the upper
right corner of the back of the movement. Turning the
knob to the left increases the lou ness; turning the knob to
the right ecreases the lou ness. The volume can be
re uce 50% for the next eight hours by moving the switch
in the lower left corner of the back of the movement to the
moon symbol. Moving the switch to the sun symbol returns
the volume to high.
