1. Scope of Application
This is to describe VCC-FM60FV19CL, Ultra High Resolution Camera Link Color CCD Camera.
All specifications contained herein are subject to change without prior notice. Reproduction in whole or in
part is prohibited.
2. Handling Precautions
The camera must not be used for any nuclear equipments or aerospace equipments with which mechanical
failure or malfunction could result in serious bodily injury or loss of human life. Our warranty does not
apply to damages or defects caused by irregular and/or abnormal use of the product.
Please observe all warnings and cautions stated below.
Our warranty does not apply to damages or malfunctions caused by neglecting these precautions.
zNo vibration shall be caused to the camera or the object to shoot while pixel shifting is in operation.
If images are captured under vibration, the PC synthesized image will be blurred. We recommend
you to install our camera into your actual application systems to try and evaluate it.
zDo not use or store the camera in the following extreme conditions:
¾Extremely dusty or humid places.
¾Extremely hot or cold places (operating temperature –5 to +4℃0)℃
¾Close to generators of powerful electromagnetic radiation such as radio or TV transmitters.
¾Places subject to fluorescent light reflections.
¾Places subject to unstable (flickering, etc.) lighting conditions.
¾Places subject to strong vibration.
zRemove dust or dirt on the surface of the lens with a blower.
zDo not apply excessive force or static electricity that could damage the camera.
zDo not shoot direct images that are extremely bright (e.g., light source, sun, etc.), and when camera
is not in use, put the lens cap on.
zFollow the instructions in Chapter 6, “External connector pin assignment” for connecting the camera.
Improper connection may cause damages not only to the camera but also to the connected devices.
z Confirm the mutual ground potential carefully and then connect the camera to monitors or
computers. AC leaks from the connected devices may cause damages or destroy the camera.
z Do not apply excessive voltage. (Use only the specified voltage.) Unstable or improper power
supply voltage may cause damages or malfunction of the camera.

z The voltage ripple of camera power DC +12V±10% shall be within ±50mV. Improper power
supply voltage may cause noises on the video signals.
zThe rising time of camera power supply voltage shall be less than +10V, Max 60ms. Please
avoide noises like chattering when rising.
z2ch output CCD, separated into right and left, is utilized for VCC-FM60FV11CL. Image signals for
right half screen and left half screen are output via each independent circuit.
Therefore, differences between right screen and left screen could be seen depending on the usage
conditions (shooting conditions /temeperature conditions and so on).
CIS trys its best to adjust this differences but please be noted it would not be perfect.

3. Product Outline
VCC-FM60FV19CL is a Camera Link interfaced, ultra high-resolution industrial color video camera
module. Pixel shifting technology with piezo-actuator, 45M pixels and 3CCD equivalent ultra high
resolution are realized. Image synthesis processing shall be done by PC software.
In this Specification, we describe pixel shifting technology as “SOPT: Spatial Offsetting Pickup
Technique”.
Features
□ Frame rates to read out entire pixels at full frame scan mode are as follows.
¾SOPT OFF (Basic Mode): 5M Pixels: approx. 15fps (66.7ms)
¾SOPT ON (45M Mode): 45M Pixels: approx. 1.43fps (700ms)
¾SOPT ON (3CCD Mode): 5M Pixels: approx. 3.12fps (320s)
When SOPT is ON, partial scan mode and pulse width trigger mode can not be used.※
□ CLK Sync, V-Sync reset Trigger
□ At SPOT OFF, triggers can be input even when outputting images.
□ 8bit/10bit output are selectable.

7.3. Fixed Trigger Shutter Mode
□ Trigger operation is CLK Sync. V-Sync Reset. The delay time from detecting trigger edge in the camera
to starting exposure is 21.40μs.
□ Triggers can be accepted even when outputting video signals. However, shutter timing to start the next
video output prior to the completion of video transmission for the prior video output signals can not be
accepted. Trigger input while outputting video signals should be synchronized with the down edge of
camera LVAL output.
□ Trigger input during exposure time should be ignored. (Refer to the below G.).

7.4. Pulse Width Trigger Shutter Mode
□ Trigger operation is CLK Sync. V-Sync Reset. The delay time from detecting trigger edge in the camera
to starting exposure is 21.40μs. The delay time from detecting trigger edge to complete exposure is
29.13μs.
□ Triggers can be accepted even when outputting video signals. However, shutter timing to start the next
video output prior to the completion of video transmission for the prior video output signals can not be

・ The control code consists of camera No. process code, remote controller address, remote
controller data, and CR. Execute Read/Write through PC, and the camera will reply the data.

Camera No. is fixed with 6 bytes numerical strings, “000000”.
Process code
Input any one of R, W, or C to the process code.
R (read mode) is to read the data of remote controller address.
Please be noted to set any dummy data (000～255) to 11th ～13th, since a command shall
consists of 14 bytes.
W (write mode) is to write the data to the remote controller address.
Please be noted that the data cannot be saved into EEPROM of the camera.
(Reboot the camera, and the data is reset to the initial setting.)
To save the data into EEPROM, please refer to Section 5. Function Settings.
C is the code to send the data back from the camera.
Note: Do not set code C when sending the data from PC side.
Baud rate : 9600bps
Data : 8bit
Stop bit : 1bit
Parity : None
XON/XOFF : Not controlled

Remote controller address
Note: Do not write the data into the address other than specified, since it may cause
the damages or malfunction of the camera.
Remote controller data
Set the decimal number (000～255) for the remote controller data. Please be noted to set any
dummy data at read control mode.
CR
Be sure to input “CR” to confirm the end of the command.
※Note: The data set with 2 Byte shall be set with High Byte first, then set with Low Byte. The
camera rewrites the internal resister when receiving Low Byte.
