Step 10
Insert the codec into the cabinet:
a.
Use the diagram in Figure 2-12 to connect the light and microphone cables. The cables have tape
flags with icons that represent the connections; use these tape flags to connect the light and
microphone cables. These cables must be installed before the coded is installed.
Note
The lights are numbered. Light #1 is the top light, light #2 the bottom light, light #3 the left light,
and light #4 is the right light.
Note
There are three different places in the cabinet where cables are tied to the cabinet with cable ties
to prevent damage during shipping. Cut these cable ties to release the cables before connecting
them.
b.
Retrieve the codec brackets and eight attachment screws (P?N 69-2175-01) from the accessory kit.
c.
Attach the codec brackets to the codec, using four screws on each side. See Figure 2-10 for more
information.
d.
Insert the codec and brackets into the left side of the cabinet and attach the codec assembly to the
bottom of the cabinet using two screws (P/N 69-2274-01). See Figure 2-11 for more information.
e.
Use the diagram in Figure 2-12 to connect the remaining cables. The cables have tape flags with
icons that represent the connections; use these tape flags to connect the cables.
Note
Route the external power cable through a rectangular cutout at the rear of the cabinet. Route the
external microphone and VGA cables route into the cabinet through a slot at the bottom of the
cabinet. See Figure 2-13 for more information.
Note
The audio connection for the presentation cable on the codec is different based on the cable you
use for presentations. If you use a VGA-to-VGA cable, use the audio connection on the codec
labeled with an icon of a computer. If you use a HGMI-to-HDMI, HDMI-to-DisplayPort, or
HDMI-to-Mini Displayport cable, use the audio connection labeled “Aux” on the codec.
Figure 2-12 shows both connections.
