Quick Start Guide
Rev 1.01
Quick Start Instructions:
1. Connect the B4 Dimmer to your DMX controller by using either the DMX three pin XLR input, the RJ-45 DMX
input, or the three pin DMX input terminal block. DMX out can be either the three pin XLR output, the RJ-45
output or the three pin terminal block output. Note, there can only be a total of one DMX input, and one DMX
output per device.
2. Connect your load to the output channels using the screw terminals. For single color LED tape with two
connection wires, connect the V- (black) wire to any one of the four output channel terminals and the V+ (red)
wire to its corresponding terminal. When using three or four color LED Tape, connect as follows: CH1-red, CH2
green, CH3 blue, CH4 amber/white. Note*- The V+ (common) circuit for multicolor tape will be connected to
either a black or white wire. To determine which is correct, look at one of the sets of contacts on the tape itself
and note which color wire is connected to the one labeled (+). Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 5A
per channel.
3. Connect the appropriate power supply providing 5-24VDC to the power input screw terminals. Note*-The size
of the power supply must match the tape being used in both voltage and watts. B4’s maximum output power
rating is: 100W (5V), 240W (12V), and 480W (24V).
4. In addition to setting DMX adresses,The 10 POS Multifunction DIP switch, allows you to perform several other
functions including Manual Dimming, Self Test and Three Stand Alone Effects. Set up instructions for these
functions are as follows:

The B4 low voltage dimmer is ideal for applications
such as retail displays, signage and general
architectural work. It features 4 channels of control
in a compact IP20 (indoor) rated enclosure. Ideal
for 4 color LED tape installations, it is fully DMX
compatible and offers several different stand alone
functions. The B4 requires a separate power supply
providing input voltage of 5-24VDC. The Maximum
current load per channel is 5A with a maximum
device output of 20A. Follow the steps below to get
your B4 up and running.
