3.Replacethebatterycompartmentcoverbyslidingupwarduntilitclicksintoplace.

HandsetbatteriesMUSTbeconnectedbeforebeginninginitialcharging!
1.Placethehandsetintothecharger.ThechargeindicatorLEDonthechargerwill
lightRED.
2.IMPORTANT:Thebatteriesinthehandsetmustbefullychargedfor24hoursbefore
usingthetelephoneforthefirsttime.
3.Afterthebatteriesarefullycharged,checkfordialtonebypressingthe/*button
onthehandset.
Fullychargedbatteriesprovideanaveragetalktimeofabout4 hours,orstandbytimeof
about8 days.Talktime& standbytimemayvarydependingonoperatingconditions.
LowBatteryIndicators
Whenthehandsetbatteriesgetlowduringa call,therewillbea warningtoneandthe
lowbatteryiconwillappearontheCallerIDdisplay.SimplyplaceA50Ehandsetintothe
chargertobeginrecharging.Makesurethecontactpointsaretouchingandthecharge
indicatorLEDislitRED.
Thebatterylevelcanalsobemonitoredviathebatterychargeicon.Thisiconappears
whilethephoneisinstandbymodeandindicatestheconditionofthebatteries.
BeltClipInstallation
Youmaychoosetousetheoptionalbeltclipprovidedwithyourhandset(Seediagram #2
below).

1.Toattach,slidethebeltclipdownontothegrooves.Pressthetabsonthebeltclip
intotheslotstoattach.
2.Toremove,liftonesideofthebeltclipwithyourthumbnailandpushback.

jack.YourClearSoundsA50handsetwillshowHS-1(Handset1)ontheLCD.
2.Pressandholdthe• /PAGEbuttononthebaseunit.After3 seconds,pressthe
"CH"buttononthehandsetuntilyougeta beepandthedisplaywillreadHS-2.
3.Ifyouhavemorethantwohandsets,pressthe"CH"buttononthehandsetuntilyou
geta beepandthedisplayreadsHS-3.Releasethe• /PAGEbuttonfromthe
base.
NOTE:The• /PAGEbuttononthebaseunitshouldbekeptpressedduringthewhole
procedure.
