1Productinformation
Thiscommercialfloorcleaning machine isespecially
suited foruseinschools, hospitals, factories, food
industry, kitchens, retail shopsand stores, officesand
rentalbusinesses.
The incorporation ofmodernmanufacturing
processesensuresyearsoftroublefree service.
The following instructionscontainimportant
information about the machinesand safetyadvicefor
the operator.
Equipment must be operated, serviced and
maintained inaccordancewiththe manufacturer’s
instructions.
Ifin doubtcontactthesupplier ofyourmachine.
1.1ImportantSafetyAdvice
When using electricalequipment basicsafety
precautionsshouldbe followed including the
following.
•Read all instructionscarefullybeforeuse.
•Keep children and unauthorised personsawayfrom
the machine when inuse.
•Do not leavethe machine connected tothe
electricitysupplywhen not inuse, alwaysremove
the plug fromthe socket-outlet.
•Switchoff the machine beforeremoving the plug.
•When unplugging pull the plug, not the supplycord.
•Keep the powersupplycordclearofmoving parts.
During operation hazardmayoccurwhen running
the machine overthe powersupplycord.
•Do not operatethe machine withadamaged
supplycordorplug, orafterthe machine
malfunctionsorisdamaged inanyway. Contact an
authorised ServiceAgent forrepairoradjustment.
•The plug ofthe powersupplycordmust be
removed fromthe socket-outlet before
commencing cleaning ofthe machine or
undertaking maintenanceoperations.
•The powersupplycordmust be regularlyinspected
forsignsofdamage. Ifthe powersupplycordis
damaged, it hastobe replaced.
•Do not usewherehazardousdust ispresent.
•Do not useinan explosiveatmosphere.
•Takecarewhen using amachine nearthe top of
stairstoavoidoverbalancing.
1.2Guidelinesfortheoperator
•Operatorsmust be fullytrained inthe useofthe
machine inaccordancewiththeseinstructions, able
toperformusermaintenanceand the correct
selection ofaccessories, i.e. brushes.
•Operatorsshouldbe physicallycapableto
manoeuvre, transport and operatethe machine.
•Operatorsshouldbe abletorecogniseunusual
operation ofthe machine and report anyproblems.
•Keep handsand feet well clearofthe rotating
brush.
•Wearsuitablefootweartoavoidslipping.
•Wearsuitableclothing tokeep dry and warm.
•Wherepossibleimplement job rotation and
adequaterest periodstoavoidcontinuoususe
ofthe samemuscles.
•Do not smokewhen using the machine.
•CAUTION -Thismachine isforindooruseonly
and shouldnot be used orstored outdoorsorin
wet conditions.
1.3Transporting themachine
CAUTION-THISMACHINEISHEAVY
Do notattemptto lift themachinewithout
assistance. Incorrect lifting techniquesmayresult in
personalinjury. Werecommend twopeoplelift the
machine using alifting point at the front and rear. Do
notlift themachinebythehandle.
Tominimisethe weight and avoidspillage ofliquid
emptybothwatertanksbeforelifting.
Tomovethe machine tothe work area, lock the
handleand tilt it backwardstoraisethe front off the
floor, and wheelintoposition.
2Preparingforuse
2.1Electricalconnection
Beforeconnecting the machine tothe powersupply,
check that yoursupplyvoltage correspondswiththat
marked on the rating labelon the rearofthe machine.
UKonly
The supplycordisfitted withanon rewireableplug
containing a13 ampfuse. Shouldthe fuserequire
replacement it must onlybe replaced bya13 amp
fuseconforming toBS1362, and the fusecovermust
be refitted. Ifthe fusecoverislost the plug mustnot
be used until the correct replacement coverisfitted.
IMPORTANT -Ifthe supplycordisdamaged, it must
onlybe replaced byaspecialcordavailablefromthe
manufactureroran authorised serviceagent.
Shouldan extension cordbe used, ensurecordrating
isadequateforthe equipment. Do not useextension
cordincoiled condition asthiscouldresult in
overheating ofthe cord.

2.2Adjusting thehandleheight
Select the most comfortablehandleheight using the
adjustment leveron the handle, and lock inposition.
2.3Filling thesolution tank
•The solution tankcan be filled on oroff the
machine. Tofill the tankoff the machine the
recovery tankmust first be removed.
•Removevacuumhoseand cleardomefrom
recovery tankand lift off tank.
•Disconnect solution feed hosefromsolution tank
and lift tankoff base. Toreleasehosepull
connectorcollarforward(Fig.3).

•Fill the solution tankwithclean waterusing a
bucket, tap orhose, and an appropriatemeasureof
detergent.
•Replacetankson baseand reconnect hoses.
Ensuresolution hoseisfullyengaged and captive
inthe connectorallowing solution toflow, thus
preventing the pumpfromoverheating.
•IMPORTANT -Onlychemicalsrecommended by
the appliancemanufacturershouldbe used, i.e. low
foaming, and followthe chemicalmanufacturer’s
directionsregarding use, handling, disposaland
healthand safetyprovisions.
•The tankcapacityis15 litres. Do not overfill the
tankasspillage mayoccurwhen inuse.
•IMPORTANT -When the solution tankhas
emptied, switchoff the machine and emptythe
recovery tankbeforerefilling the solution tank.
3Controls
The operating controlsarelocated on the handle
(Figs.1&2).
1-Brush motorswitch
Used toswitchmotorONand OFF. Lightswhen in
the on position.
2-Neon indicator
Lightswhen the machine isconnected tothe
powersupply.
3-Vacuummotorswitch
Used toswitchmotorONand OFF. Provides
suction at the squeegee. Lightswhen inthe on
position.
4-Solution feed triggers
When squeezed suppliescleaning solution tothe
brushhead.
5-Handleadjustmentlever
Used toadjust handletocomfortableworking
height.
6-Cut-outresetbutton
Cut-out protectsbrushmotorfromoverheating.
Press button oncetoreset cut-out and restart
motor.
7-Cablewinder
Used toholdsupplycordinplaceon handlewhen
machine isnot inuse.
4Operation
4.1Starting themachine
•Fullyunwind the supplycordand plug intoa
convenient socket outlet.
•Withthe solution tankfilled and the handleset at a
comfortableheight, the machine isreadyforuse.
•SwitchONthe brushmotor, followed bythe
vacuummotor.
•Releasecleaning solution at regularintervalsby
meansofthe handletriggers.
•WARNING -Always ensure adequatesolution is
on thefloor, scrubbing withoutsolution could
damagethefloorsurface and/orthemachine
brush. Keep themachinemoving whilethe
brush isrotating.
•IMPORTANT- Shouldthe brushstop rotating due
tooperation ofthe cut-out on the brushmotor,
switchOFF the machine and allowtocoolforafew
minutes. Press the cut-out reset button on left hand
side (Fig.4), and restart the machine.
•WARNING -Iffoamorliquidisemitted, switch off
immediately and emptyrecovery tank. Liquid
emitted couldbe hazardousasaresult ofits
temperature, orchemicalcontent.
•ToSTOPthe machine, releasesolution feed
triggers, switchoff brushmotorthen vacuum
motor.
•Normalmovement ofthe machine isina forward
and backward direction.
•Proceed tooperatethe machine inthe normal
manner, releasing cleaning solution fromtimeto
timeasrequired.
•Forheavysoilage, scrub floorwithcleaning
solution but withvacuummotorOFF. Scrub floor
againpicking up the solution.
•When scrubbing iscomplete, unplug the machine
fromthe powersupply, emptythe solution tankand
clean and dry the machine.
•IMPORTANT -Disposeofunused cleaning solution
inaccordancewiththe manufacturer’sdirections.
4.2Changing thebrush
WARNING -Thisappliance has been designed for
use with thebrushes specified bythe
manufacturer. Thefitting ofother brushes may
affectitssafety.
Alwaysensuremachine isunplugged beforefitting or
removing parts.
•Tochange the brush, first removebothrecovery
tankand solution tanktoreduceweight and avoid
spillage.
•Movehandletoupright position, pull backwards
and downwardstorest on the floortherebyraising
the base.
•Pushend ofbrushshaft withafingerand withdraw
shaft completely.
•Placenewbrushinposition and insert shaft
through brushuntil it clicksintoplace.
•Returnmachine tothe floor, replacetanksand
reconnect hosesetc.
4.3Changing squeegee blades
The squeegee bladesareselfadjusting forwear,
howeverwhen wet pick-up becomesineffective, or
bladesaredamaged theyshouldbe replaced as
follows.
•Raisemachine baseasforabrushchange.
•Slide squeegee bladesout sidewaysfromthe
holder.
•Slide newbladesintoplacewiththe ribbed side
facing outwards.
•Returnmachine tothe floor.
4.4Whencleaning isfinished
•When cleaning isfinished, unplug the machine
fromthe powersupply, and lift off and emptythe
recovery and solution tanksoverasuitablesinkor
drain.

•Flushout the recovery tankwithclean water.
Replacetanksand wipe overthe machine witha
dampcloth.
•Wipe squeegee bladesclean.
•IMPORTANT -Disposeofunused cleaning solution
inaccordancewiththe manufacturer’sdirections.
•Removebrushand washinwarmsoapywater,
rinseand allowtodry naturally.
5Storage
Afterusealwayswipe downand dry the machine, and
removeand clean the brush.
The solution tankand recovery tankshouldbe
emptied and flushed out withclean water.
When storing the machine forlong periods, raisethe
basetoprotect the brushand squeegee frompossible
distortion.
Wrap supplycordaround the handlebarand cable
winderensuring that the plug isnot trailing on the
floor. Foldhandledownasnecessary. Storethe
machine inadry indoorarea only.
6Maintenance
WARNING -Before undertaking maintenance
operationsoradjustmentsswitch off machine
and unplug fromtheelectricitysupply.
The machine requiresminimummaintenanceapart from
the following checksbyatrained operator.
•Supplycord -Regularlyinspect sheath, plug and
cordanchorage fordamage orlooseconnection.
Onlyreplacethe supplycordwiththe type specified
intheseinstructions.
•Solution tank -Check waterflow, ifrestricted
inspect tubing forblockage. Check filterisclean
and undamaged. Adamaged filtermust be
replaced.
•Recovery tank -Check condition and clean tank.
•Squeegee blades -Check condition and replace
wornordamaged blades.
•Solution spray bar - Removethe brushtoaccess
the spraybar. Check that the solution feed holes
arenot blocked orrestricted, and clean as
necessary.
7Aftersales service
Shouldyou requireaftersalesservicepleasecontact the
supplierfromwhomyou purchased the machine, who
will arrange service. Repairsand servicing ofTruvox
productsshouldonlybe performed bytrained staff.
Improperrepairscan causeconsiderabledangersto
the user.
8Guarantee
Yourproduct isguaranteed forone yearfromthe date
oforiginalpurchase, orhirepurchase, against defects
inmaterialsorworkmanshipduring manufacture.
Withinthe guarantee period weundertakeat our
discretion, torepairorreplacefree ofcharge tothe
purchaser, anypart found tobe defective, subject to
the following conditions.
CONDITIONS
1. Claimsmade underthe termsofthe guarantee
must be supported bythe originalinvoice/bill ofsale
issued at the timeofsale, orthe machine SerialNo.
2. Forclaimsunderthisguarantee contact the
supplierfromwhomyou purchased the product who
will arrange the appropriateaction. Do not initially
returnthe product asthiscouldresult intransit
damage.
3. NeitherTruvoxnoritsdistibutorshall be liablefor
anyincidentalorconsequentialloss.
4. Thisguarantee isgoverned bythe lawsofEngland.
5. Thisguarantee doesnot coveranyofthe following:
•Periodicmaintenance, and repairorreplacement
ofpartsdue tonormalwearand tear.
•Damage caused byaccident, misuseorneglect,
orthe fitting ofotherthan genuine Truvoxparts.
•Defectsinotherthan genuine Truvoxparts, or
repairs, modificationsoradjustmentsperformed
byotherthan aTruvoxserviceengineeror
authorised serviceagent.
•Costsand risksoftransport relating directlyor
indirectlytothe guarantee ofthisproduct.
•Consumableitemssuchas, brushes, squeegee
blades, beltsand filters.
Thisguarantee doesnot affect yourstatutory rights,
noryourrightsagainst the supplierarising fromtheir
salesorpurchasecontract.

•Removerecovery and solution tank, and raisemachine baseasforabrushchange.
•Removeshaft frombrushand position the magneticbrushguardon right hand side ofmachine, locating the
peg on the guardinthe holeinthe side plate, and align the shaft hole.
•Insert side brushshaft through guardand pushright through mainbrushuntil it clicksintoplace.
•Returnmachine tofloor, replacetanksand reconnect hoses.
