1 General
This operating manual contains all the important information for installing,
commissioning and operating your imop lite. It will also provide you with information
and important advice regarding your safety and help with problems.
1.1 The product: imop lite
This product was manufactured in accordance with the applicable national standards
and guidelines, and serves to clean hard surfaces which are neither sensitive to
moisture or polishing.
1.2 Intended operation
The machine is intended for use in accordance with the following:
•The machine must only be used to clean hard surfaces that are not sensitive to
either moisture or polish.
•The machine may only be used inside buildings.
•The operational temperature range of the machine is between +5°C and +40°C.
•The machine is intended for commercial use, e.g. in hotels, schools, hospitals,
factories, shops, offices, small businesses, etc.
•The machine is not suitable for cleaning frozen surfaces/floors.
•The machine may only be used by persons who have been trained to operate it,
have proven their ability to use it and have been specifically instructed to do so.
•The machine is not intended to be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or with a lack of experience and/or knowledge
(including children).
•The machine may only be equipped and operated with original accessories and
spare parts.
•The machine may only be operated with the installed safety devices.
•The safety and operational instructions contained in this operating manual must be
complied with.
•The operational instructions of the operator must be complied with.
•The relevant accident prevention regulations, as well as other, generally
recognized safety and operational rules must be complied with.
•Any unauthorized modifications to the machine shall void the liability of the
manufacturer for any resulting damages.
•Flooring must be checked to ensure it is suited to the cleaning process before
using the machine.
•The manufacturer shall not be liable for damage to the machine or the flooring that
is to be cleaned caused by use of the wrong brushes, pads, or cleaning agents.
•The device may only be opened up by customer service.

The following points will be considered improper operation:
•Use on unsuitable types of flooring
•Use of unsuitable cleaning agents
•Use of the wrong polishing pads
•Outdoor use
•Operation by unauthorized persons
•Operation during which there is failure to comply with the safety regulations
•Operation using deactivated or modified/defective safety devices
•Performing cleaning while connected to the power adapter
•Cleaning frozen surfaces/ground
1.3 Delivery
Please check that the delivery is complete and intact. If any of the parts are missing
or defective, please contact your supplier immediately.

2 Safety instructions
The following basic safety instructions must be observed every time you use the
imop lite.
Please carefully read through the following safety instructions and information
regarding the safe operation of the imop. Please familiarize yourself with all the
functions of the imop lite. Be careful to keep this operating manual near the imop lite
and give it to other operators, if necessary. The imop lite may only be passed on to
third parties if you also provide them with the operating manual.
2.1 General information regarding safety

2.1.2 Hazard statements
Warning
Risk of injury or death by electrocution!
The imop lite machine uses a current of 110–240 V AC at
the power adapter input. Given that electric shocks of as
low as 50/60 mA can be deadly, appropriate precautions
must be taken.
Measures
- In case of danger, disconnect the power adapter from
the power source immediately.
- Do not touch any live parts.
- Report any damaged cables to maintenance personnel
immediately.
- Maintenance work may only be carried out by trained
personnel.
Caution
Risk of injury and/or property damage by using the
machine incorrectly!
- Damage caused by using the wrong material
- Damaged caused by overloading
- Endangering persons due to a lack of qualifications
and/or operating errors on the part of the operating
personnel
Measures
- Follow the instructions regarding the intended
operation.
- Never exceed the permissible technical limit values.
- Do not work with the imop lite if you
−do not have the necessary qualifications,
−have not received a full briefing from the operator,
−have not read or understood this operating manual
in full.

Measures
- Follow the instructions regarding the intended
operation.
- Turn the machine off immediately.
2.2 Safety instructions for the operator
2.2.1 Occupational safety
When operating the imop lite machine, national occupational health and safety
regulations, the requirements of the statutory accident insurance funds and company
guidelines must be observed/complied with.
2.2.2 Technical condition of the imop lite
All unauthorized modifications to or manipulation of safety devices in the imop lite
machine are prohibited.
2.3 Safety instructions for personnel
2.3.1 Instructions regarding the defined user and service positions
Safe operation can only be guaranteed by using the user positions described in this
operating manual (see Section 3.1 “Defined working and user positions”).
2.3.2 Personnel to be used and their qualifications
•Users must have received a briefing on the machine from the operator.
•The user must be at least 18 years of age.
Exception: Use for the purpose of professional training which is carried out under
management and supervision. This is not considered independent control of
the device.
•Users must have sufficient knowledge of the relevant language.
•Users must have sufficient physical, sensory, and mental capabilities.

2.4 Specific components
2.4.1 Safety and warning labels
Parts of the machine which pose an electrical hazard are identified using the warning
symbol below.
The liquid containers (for fresh water and waste water), as well as the waste water
hose connection of the imop lite are attached to the machine using strong magnets.
A strong magnet is also used to secure the drive unit in the parking position.
The magnets are identified using the warning symbol below.
2.5 Specific energy systems
2.5.1 Electronics
•The power adapter may only be connected to electrical outlets that have been
installed by an electrician in accordance with IEC 60364-1.
•Never touch the power adapter with wet hands.
•Make sure not to break or damage the power cord by running over, crushing,
or tearing it or doing anything similar.
•Protect the cable from heat, oil, and sharp edges.
•The power cord must be regularly checked for damage such as cracks or ageing.
If damage is found, the cable must be replaced before being used further.
•The battery may only be charged using the power adapter supplied. No other
power adapters may be used. The charge level can be checked using the indicator
on the battery.
•Check the battery for damage before each use. Do not continue to use a damaged
battery.

•Do not use the battery when it is dirty or wet.
•Do not use the battery in environment where there is an explosion hazard.
•Keep the battery away from heat, sharp edges, oil, and moving parts.
•Do not cover the battery when it is charging and keep the ventilation grille of the
power adapter clear.
•Do not open the battery. Have any repairs carried out by specialist personnel.
•Do not charge a damaged battery. If a battery is damaged, replace it.
•The battery contacts must not come into contact with any of the metal parts,
as this poses a risk of short circuiting.
•Do not store the battery together with metal objects, as this poses a risk of short
circuiting.
•Do not place tools or any similar items on the battery contacts. This poses a risk
of short circuiting.
•Never put the battery near an open flame or sparks, or smoke in its vicinity.
This poses an explosion hazard!
•Do not dispose of the battery in fire or household waste.
•Avoid contact with any liquid leaking from a defective battery. If you accidentally
come into contact with any such liquid, rinse it with water. If it comes into contact
with your eyes, also consult a doctor.
•Never charge the imop light using the power adapter during cleaning!
•It is absolutely essential to comply with the operating instructions from the battery
and power adaptor manufacturer. Please observe the recommendations of the
legislature in relation to handling and transporting batteries.
•Used batteries are to be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner using
suitable collection systems, in accordance with national regulations and
guidelines.
•Never leave or store the battery in a discharged condition, but rather charge it as
soon as possible prior to this.
•The battery must always be kept clean and dry to prevent leakage currents.
Protect the battery from contamination, e.g. using metallic powder.
•The machine, especially the battery, may only be cleaned with a damp cloth.
Do not clean it using a hose or steam jet!

2.6 Specific life cycles of the imop lite
2.6.1 Transport
Risk of injury or damage!
•Take the weight of the imop lite into account when transporting it.
•When transporting the imop lite and the power adapter in vehicles, secure it in
accordance with the applicable guidelines to protect against slipping and tipping.
•Carry the imop light using the handle and use your other hand to stop the steering
column tipping over (Figure 1).
•Move the imop lite using the transport castors (Figure 2).
- Use the transport castors on an even surface only.
- Do not use the transport castors to move it over steps and curbs.

2.6.2 Commissioning
The initial commissioning of the imop lite is generally carried out by our authorized
dealers.
2.6.3 Operation
Cleaning with the imop lite can be completed within around 45 min., depending on the
flooring. After this, the battery must be charged.
2.6.4 Service and maintenance
•Repairs may only be carried out by authorized after sales service centers or
qualified specialist personnel who are familiar with all the relevant safety
regulations.
•Please observe the safety checks in accordance with the applicable local
regulations for portable devices used for commercial purposes.
•The machine must be turned off prior to maintenance or cleaning. In addition,
the battery must be removed from the machine before replacing any parts.

2.7 Safety instructions applicable to consumables
2.7.1 Cleaning agent
The recommended cleaning agent. Do not use any cleaning solution with a pH
value of under three or above 11, to prevent damage to sensitive components
such as hoses and valves.
•The products are safe to use as they do not contain any acids, alkalis or
substances that are damaging to the environment.
2.8 Instructions applicable to the battery
The imop lite uses an Li-ion battery.
Handling and operation:
•The battery may only be charged using the power adapter supplied. No other
power adapters may be used. The
charge level can be checked using the indicator on the battery.
•Check the battery for damage before each use. Do not continue to use a damaged
battery.
•Do not use the battery when it is dirty or wet.
•Do not use the battery in environment where there is an explosion hazard.

3 Description of the imop lite machine
This section defines the working position for when using the machine as well as
providing an overview of the controls.
3.1 Defined working and user positions
This contains a description of the working position which must be adopted when using
the machine.
•The working position is located behind the machine.
•It is turned on by preselecting the operating mode using the operating unit and by
pressing the lever on the left or right handle.
Important
Improper use
The machine is not intended to be used from other
positions. These positions are therefore not permitted when
operating the machine!
The machine can only be operated safely by using the
working and user positions described here.
3.1.1 The working position
The working position is always located behind the shaft of the machine (Figure 3).
