Mains voltage supply:
Beforeconnectingtheampliertothelocalmainsvoltageoutletshouldbecheckedtoensurethe
availablesupplyis240V~AC50Hz.ThisproductisCLASS1andrequiresaprotectivemainsearthtobe
connectedatalltimes.DO NOTremoveordisconnecttheearth.
Power on/off procedure:
Afterconnectingyourampliertothemains,turnallcontrolscounterclockwisetothe“0”position.
Turnonaudiosources(MP3players,CDplayers,microphonesetc)beforepoweringtheamplier
“ON”.Thelastproducttobeswitchedonistheamplier.Ifyouwishtopoweroffthesystem,turnthe
amplier’smastervolumecontrolcounterclockwisetothe“0”positionbeforeswitchingtheamplier
“OFF”beforeanyaudiosourcesareswitchedoff.Byfollowingthisprocedureitwillpreventacoustic
shockstothespeakersorpotentialdamagetosystemcomponents.
Afterconnectingallaudiosourcesandpoweringonthemixeramplier,adjustthelevelofeachaudio
inputtoachievethedesired“mix”.Careshouldbetakentowhenadjustingmicrophoneinputvolumes
andthemastervolume,adjustbothoftheseinsmallincrement’stoavoidfeedback(howlaround).
Thegoalistoachieveaclearbalancebetweenmusicandvoiceensuringannouncementscanbe
clearlyheard.
Master volume control:
Themastervolumecontrolaffectsthelevelofallaudiosourceswithintheamplier.Turnthelevel
controlanti-clockwisetothelowestsetting,orturnclockwisetoadjusttheoveralloutputtothehighest
setting.Adjustmentsshouldbemadegraduallytoavoidanysuddenchangestotheaudiooutput.
Tone control:
Thetonecontrolcanbeusedtoadjusttheoverallsoundfromtheamplier.Eachofthethreecontrols
adjustadifferentfrequencyband.Turnanti-clockwisetoincrease,orturnclockwisetodecreasethe
selectedfrequencyband.
Ground connection:
Thegroundconnectioncanbeusedforvinylturntablesourceswithexternalearthconnections.

Microphone inputs:
Twolowimpedancemicrophoneinputsareprovided,eachlocatedontherearpanelviaanunbalanced,
6.35mm(¼”)jack.Eachmicrophoneinputfeaturesitsownindependentlevelcontrol.
Beforeconnectingamicrophone,turnthelevelcontrolanti-clockwisetothelowestsetting.
Afterconnection,graduallyincreasethelevelcontrolbyturningclockwiseuntilthedesired
levelisachieved.
Note:Unbalancedcablelengthsshouldbekepttotheminimumlengthpossible,ideallyunder
20mandawayfromanypotentialsourcesofinterferenceincludingpower,speakerandcontrol
cables/equipment.
Priority control terminals (Music Mute):
TheMA135amplierfeaturesapriorityfeatureformicrophone1.WhenthePrioritycontactsare
shorted,theamplierwillmuteallotherinputswhilemicrophone1willremainactive.
Line inputs:
Theamplierfeaturestwoaudioinputslocatedontherearpanel,eachinputfeaturesapairofRCA
(phono)inputconnectorsconguredinstereo.
TheLINE1inputisdesignedforlinelevelsources(150mV)suchasCDplayersorMP3players.
TheLINE2inputisdesignedforRIAAlevelsourcessuchasTurntables.
Note:Onlyoneofthetwoinputsmaybeusedatanyonetime,theselectorswitchmaybeusedto
choosefromthetwoinputs.SlidetheswitchtothelefttoselectLINE1orslidetotherighttoLINE2.

loads,onlyoneoutputmaybeused,theamplierisnotdesignedtodrivemultipleloadssimultaneously.
Low impedance:
Theamplierhasbeendesignedtodriveintoloadsbetween4Ωand16Ω.Theappropriateoutput
terminalshouldbeselectedtomatchtheimpedanceofthespeakerstobeconnected.Wheninstalling
lowimpedancespeakersystems,thecablelengthsshouldbekepttoaminimumtohelpprevent
voltagedropwithinthecable.DO NOTconnectaspeakerloadtotheampliersoutputterminalsoflower
impedancethanismarkedontheoutputterminals.
100V Line:
Forlongercableruns,theampliermaybeusedtodrive100Vloudspeakersystemsreducinglosses
withinthecable.Connectthe100Vlinelevelloudspeakersusingaparallelwiringcongurationtaking
caretoensuretheloadconnectedtotheamplieriswithin85%oftheampliersratedwattageto
leaveappropriateheadroom.Careshouldbetakentocheckthewiringandloadforshortcircuitsbefore
connectingthecabletotheCOMand100Vterminalsontherearpanel.
