TheMASeriesarerackmountable.TherackyouuseshouldbeaDoubleDoorRackwhereyoucanopenthefront
andrearpanel.Whenmountingtheamplierintotherack,pleasemakesurethatthereisenoughspacearound
theamplier.
Becarefulwhenmountingtheamplierintotherack.Puttheheaviestproductsintothelowerpartoftherack.
Thefrontpanelisnotdesignedtoabsorbaccelerationforcesoccuringduringtransportation.
Inputs
Shortcablesrunsimprovethesoundqualityremarkably.Inputcablesshouldbeshortanddirect,sincehigh
frequencieswillmostlybeabsorbedifthecablesareunnecessarilylong.Besidesthatalongercablemayleadto
hummingandnoiseproblems.Ifthecablerunsareunavoidable,youshouldusebalancedcables.
Outputs
Thehighdampingfactorofyourampliersuppliesaclearsoundreproduction.Unnecessarilylongandthincables
usedforlowimpedance(4-16Ω)speakerswillinuencethedampingfactorandthusthelowfrequenciesina
negativeway.Inordertosafeguardgoodsoundquality,thedampingfactorshouldliearound50.Thelongera
cablehastobethethickeritshouldbe.Forlongercablerunspleaseensurethe100Voutputsareusedfor100V
speakers.

Note: Please do not use more than one pair of output terminals.
Connections To The Mains
Beforeconnectingtheampliertothelocalmainsvoltageoutletshouldbecheckedtoensuretheavailablesupply
is240V~AC50Hz.ThisproductisCLASS1andrequiresaprotectivemainsearthtobeconnectedatalltimes.DO
NOTremoveordisconnecttheearth.
Power On/Off Procedure
Afterconnectingyourampliertothemains,turnallcontrolscounterclockwisetothe“min”
position.Turnonaudiosources(MP3players,CDplayers,Microphonesetc)beforepoweringtheamplierON.The
lastproducttobeswitchedonistheamplier.
Ifyouwishtopoweroffthesystem,turntheamplier’smastervolumecontrolcounterclockwisetothe“min”
positionbeforeswitchingtheamplierOFFbeforeanyaudiosourcesareswitchedoff.Byfollowingthisprocedure
itwillpreventacousticshockstothespeakersorpotentialdamagetosystemcomponents.

Machine operation
1.Afterconnectingallaudiosourcesandpoweringonthemixeramplier,adjustthelevelofeachaudioinputto
achievethedesired“mix”.Careshouldbetakentowhenadjustingmicrophoneinputvolumesandthemaster
volume,adjustbothoftheseinsmallincrement’stoavoidfeedback(howlaround).Thegoalistoachieveaclear
balancebetweenmusicandvoiceensuringannouncementscanbeclearlyheard.
2.MicrophoneinputNo.1featuresadjustablevoiceoperatedoverride(VOX),thiswillmuteallotherinputs.After
3secondsofnosignaltoMIC1inputstheotherinputwillreturntotheiroriginalstate.TheVOXmutelevelcanbe
adjustedontherearpanel.
3.TheCleverAcousticsampliersallfeatureoutputVUmeter’swithPEAKindication.ShouldthePEAKindicator
illuminate(ashing)theoutputoftheamplieristoohigh,turnthemastervolumeanti-clockwisetoreduce
theoutput.
4.TheCleverAcousticsampliersallfeatureprotectionwithLEDindication.ShouldthePROTECTindicatoril-
luminate,turnthemastervolumecontrolanti-clockwisefullyandswitchofftheamplierfor15secondsasthe
ampliermayhaveenteredPROTECTmodetemporarilyduetoapeaksignal,careshouldthenbetakentoensure
allinputlevelsaresetcorrectly.IftheamplierpersiststoenterPROTECTmodetheampliershouldbeswitched
offandlefttocoolfor5-10minutesbeforeswitchingbackon.IfthePROTECTindicatorremainslitthisindicatesa
problemwiththeamplieroramplierload(ieShortCircuit).
5.TheCleverAcousticsampliersallfeatureprotectionwithLEDindication.ShouldtheTEMP(overtemperature
protection)indicatorilluminate,turnthemastervolumecontrolanti-clockwisefullyandswitchofftheamplierfor
15secondsastheampliermayhaveenteredTEMP(overtemperatureprotection)modetemporarilyduetothe
internaltemperaturereachingthepresetlimit,careshouldthenbetakentoensureallinputlevelsaresetcorrectly
andthatallventilationslotsareclearofobstruction.IftheamplierpersiststoenterTEMPmodetheamplier
shouldbeswitchedoffandlefttocoolfor5-10minutesbeforeswitchingbackon.IftheTEMPindicatorremainslit
thisindicatesaproblemwiththeoutputlevel(iebassheavymusic),ampliercoolingoramplierload
(ieShortCircuit).
6.Speaker&Ampliersystemscanproducehighsoundpressurelevels,pleaseoperateallcontrolswithcautionto
ensurepeoplearenotexposedtoexcessiveordangeroussoundpressurelevels.
