General Power Tool Safety Warnings – Personal Safety
WARNING Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow
thewarnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
SAVE ALL WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
Theterm “power tool” in thewarnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power
tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
1) Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in
thepresence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks
which may ignite thedust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating apower tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose control.
2) Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match theoutlet. Never modify theplug in any
way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools.
Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes,
radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is anincreased risk of electric shock if
your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering apower
tool will increase therisk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse thecord. Never use thecord for carrying, pulling or unplugging
thepower tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
Damaged or entangled cords increase therisk of electric shock.
e) When operating apower tool outdoors, use anextension cord suitable for outdoor
use. Use of acord suitable for outdoor use reduces therisk of electric shock.
f) If operating apower tool in adamp location is unavoidable, use aresidual
current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of anRCD reduces therisk of
electric shock.

3) Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when
operating apower tool. Do not use apower tool while you are tired or under
theinfluence of drugs, alcohol or medication. Amoment of inattention while
operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective
equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing
protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure theswitch is in theoff-position before
connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying
thetool. Carrying power tools with your finger on theswitch or energising power
tools that have theswitch on invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning thepower tool on.
Awrench or akey left attached to arotating part of thepower tool may result in
personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables
better control of thepower tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair,
clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long
hair can be caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for theconnection of dust extraction and collection
facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust
collection can reduce dust related hazards.
4) Power tool use and care
a) Do not force thepower tool. Use thecorrect power tool for your application.
Thecorrect power tool will do thejob better and safer at therate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use thepower tool if theswitch does not turn it on and off. Any power
tool that cannot be controlled with theswitch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect theplug from thepower source and/or thebattery pack from
thepower tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories,
or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce therisk of
starting thepower tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of thereach of children and do not allow persons
unfamiliar with thepower tool or these instructions to operate thepower tool.
Power tools are dangerous in thehands of untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect thepower tool’s
operation. If damaged, have thepower tool repaired before use.
Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp
cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use thepower tool, accessories and tool bits, etc. in accordance with these
instructions, taking into account theworking conditions and thework to be
performed. Use of thepower tool for operations different from those intended
could result in ahazardous situation.

5) Battery tool use and care
a) Recharge only with thecharger specified by themanufacturer. Acharger that
is suitable for one type of battery pack may create arisk of fire when used with
another battery pack.
b) Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any
other battery packs may create arisk of injury and fire.
c) When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like
paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can
make aconnection from one terminal to another. Shorting thebattery terminals
together may cause burns or afire.
d) Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from thebattery; avoid
contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts
eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from thebattery may cause
irritation or burns.
6) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by aqualified repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that thesafety of thepower tool is maintained.
Special safety warnings applicable to grinding, sanding,
wire brushing or cutting
a) Use auxiliary handle(s), if supplied with the tool. Loss of control can cause personal injury.
b) Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when performing an opera-
tion where the cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring. Cutting accessory
contacting a “live” wire may make exposed metal parts of the power tool ”live” and
could give the operator an electric shock.
c) This power tool is intended for grinding, dressing, wire brushing and cutting.
Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations, and specifications provided
with this tool. Neglecting to follow all of theinstructions listed below can result
in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
d) Polishing is not recommended with this power tool. The use of this power tool to
perform tasks for which thetool was not intended, can lead to danger and perso-
nal injury.
e) Do not use accessories which are not intended to be used with this tool and which
are not recommended by themanufacturer. Even if theaccessory can be attached
to your power tool, there is no guarantee that it can be used safely.
f) The accessory’s rated speed must at least correspond to thepower tool’s
maximum rated speed. Accessories which rotate faster than their rated speed
can break and shatter.
g) The accessory’s outer diameter and size must fall within therated capacity of
your power tool.
h) The spindle size of thewheels, flanges, and backing plates or other accessories
must fit thespindle on your power tool correctly. Ill-fitting/incorrectly sized
accessories will end up out of balance, vibrate violently, and may lead to loss
of control.

i) Do not use damaged accessories. Inspect theaccessory and make sure there are
no splits or cracks in thegrinding wheels; cracks or wear and tear on thebacking
plates, or loose or torn bristles on thesteel brush wheels.
If you drop your power tool or accessory, check for damage. If theaccessory
is damaged, use anew/undamaged accessory. After inspecting thetool and
attaching anaccessory, keep yourself and others outside of thepower tool’s
danger zone and let it run at full speed for one minute. Damaged accessories will
normally break during this test period.
j) Wear personal protective equipment. Depending on how you use themachine;
use avisor/face protection or safety glasses. If necessary use amask,
ear protection, gloves, and apron/work clothing to protect you from small shards
of metal or splinters from thework object. The eye protection you use must be
able to protect against flying debris produced in different working positions.
The breathing protection should be able to filter any particles produced by
thework. Prolonged exposure to high levels of noise can result in hearing damage.
k) Keep bystanders at asafe distance from thework area. Everyone who visits
theplace of work must wear personal protective equipment. Debris from
theworkpiece or from adamaged accessory can fly off and injury people outside
of theimmediate work area.
l) Position themains lead well away from therotating accessory. If you lose control,
thelead can be sliced through or become entangled and pull your hand or arm
into therotating accessory.
m) Never put thepower tool down before theaccessory has completely stopped
rotating. The rotating accessory can become stuck in thematerial resulting in
loss of control.
n) Do not run thepower tool when you are carrying it. Unintentional contact with
the rotating accessory can cause clothing to become caught and pull thetool
towards your body.
o) Regularly clean themotor’s ventilation ports. The motor’s fan pulls in dust, which
gets inside theouter casing and abuild up of this collected metal dust can lead
to electrical dangers.
p) Do not use thepower tool near flammable materials. Sparks can easily ignite
flammable material.
q) Do not use accessories which require liquid coolants. The use of water or other
liquid coolants can result in electric shock or electrocution.

Kickback and related warnings
Kickback is asudden reaction to awedged or stuck wheel, backing plate, wire brush,
or some other accessory. A jammed or stuck rotating accessory results in thepower
tool thrusting violently in theopposite direction of theaccessory’s rotation at thepoint
of binding.
For example, if agrinding disc gets stuck or is jammed into theworkpiece, theedge
of thedisc can grab onto theworkpiece and either dig itself down deeper or
kick upwards. The grinding wheel is either thrown towards or away from theuser
depending on therotation of thegrinding wheel. The grinding wheel can also break
under these circumstances.
Kickbacks are theresult of thepower tool being used in anincorrect manner, on
incorrect objects, or under incorrect conditions and can be avoided by observing
the following precautions.
a) Hold thepower tool steady and position your arms and body so that you can
adequately handle any kickback. Always use theauxiliary (side) handle if there
is one for maximum control during kickback and to be able to control thetorque
”kick” produced by turning theangle grinder on. Kickbacks or reactions to torque
can be controlled by theuser if thenecessary safety precautions are followed.
b) Never place your hand near therotating accessory. The accessory can be thrown
back onto your hand.
c) Do not stand in thearea in which thepower tool could possibly end up if it were
to kick back. Kickback will propel thetool in theopposite direction of thegrinding
wheel’s rotation at thepoint of snagging.
d) Be extra careful when working on corners, sharp edges, etc. Avoid bouncing and
getting theaccessory stuck. Corners, sharp edges, and bouncing have atendency
to get therotating accessory stuck and lead to loss of control of thetool.
e) Never fit acircular saw wood cutting blade or other toothed saw blade.
Such blades frequently lead to kickbacks and loss of control.
Specic safety precautions for grinding and cutting with
a cutting wheel
a) Only use those types of disc/wheel which are recommended for thepower tool
and aspecial shatter guard plate designed for theselected cutting wheel.
Wheels which are not designed for use with thepower tool cannot be properly
guarded and can be dangerous.
b) The shatter guard must be fitted to thepower tool correctly and adjusted to
provide maximum safety so that theuser is exposed to as little of thedisc/wheel
as possible. The shatter guard helps to protect theuser from shards of shattered
wheel and unintentional contact with thewheel.
c) The wheels/discs must only be used for therecommended work task.
For example: Do not grind with theside of acutting wheel. Cutting wheels are
intended for cutting using theedge. If force is exerted on theface, they can break.

d) Always use undamaged flanges of acorrect size and shape for thewheel you have
selected. Correct flanges support thewheel and minimize therisk of it breaking.
Flanges for cutting wheels can be different from those which are used for
grinding wheels.
e) Never use worn-down wheels designed for use with alarger power tool.
Wheels intended for larger power tools do not have thesame speed rating as
those intended for use with smaller tools and can therefore shatter.
Additional safety precautions for cutting with a cutting wheel
a) Do not force thecutting wheel or apply too much pressure. Do not try to cut
too deeply. Overloading thewheel increases thepressure and thelikelihood
of thewheel twisting or getting stuck in thecut and increases thechances of
kickback or thewheel breaking.
b) Never stand in line with or behind therotating wheel. When thewheel rotates away
from you during use, akickback can force therotating wheel and thepower tool in
theopposite direction, i.e. towards you.
c) When thewheel gets stuck or if you for some reason want to stop cutting,
turn off thepower tool and hold it still until thewheel has stopped completely.
Never attempt to remove thecutting wheel from thecut while thewheel is moving
because it can result in akickback. Investigate and take thenecessary measures
to minimize therisk of thewheel binding.
d) After stopping, do not resume cutting with thewheel in theworkpiece. Let thewheel
reach full speed first and then carefully re-enter thecut. The wheel can bind, walk up
out of thecut or kickback, if cutting is restarted with thewheel in theworkpiece.
e) Support large planks or other large workieces in order to minimize therisk of
getting stuck or kickback. Large boards tend to sag under their own weight.
Boards should be supported from underneath, both near thecutting line and
near theedges of theboard on both sides of thecutting wheel.
f) Be especially careful when plunge sawing into walls or objects where it is not
possible to see what one is sawing. The protruding wheel can cut into gas or
water pipes, electric cables, or other objects which can cause kickback.
Specic safety precautions for sanding
a) Do not use sanding discs which are too large. Follow themanufacturer’s
recommendations when selecting sanding discs. Large sanding discs that
protrude further than thebacking pad are liable to wear out thepower tool
and can result in thedisc getting stuck, breaking, or kickback.
Specic safety precautions for wire brushing
a) Remember that bristles can dislodge from thewire brush even during normal use.
Do not force thewire brush wheel by applying too much pressure. Loose wires
from thebrush can easily penetrate skin or thin clothing.
b) If ashatter guard is recommended when wire brushing, make sure that thebrush
wheel does not touch theshatter guard. The bristles of wire cup brushes/wire brush
wheels can expand under load or from thecentrifugal force so agap between
theshatter guard and thewheel is essential.

Instructions for use
Fitting a cutting/grinding disc or other accessory
Use thecorrect type of disc. Only use cutting discs for cutting (fig.1 below)
and grinding discs for grinding (fig. 2 below).

Use only Ø115 mm cutting discs and
grinding discs with 22 mm centre bores.
1. Remove theouter flange by pressing
in thespindle lock and undoing it with
thespanner.
2. Fit agrinding disc or other accessory
onto theinner flange, making sure that
it is properly centred and flat against
theinner flange.
3. Screw theouter flange back on. Hold
down thespindle lock and tighten
theflange using theincluded spanner.
4. Release thespindle lock and make
sure that thegrinding disc/accessory
can rotate freely.

Shatter guard
Ashatter guard must always be attached when theangle grinder is used.
When using abonded abrasive cutting disc, aspecial shatter guard (13) is required.
1. Undo thecam lever clamp on
theshatter guard.
2. Theguard has three lugs that fit into
corresponding notches in thegear
housing. Align theguard as shown
in thefigure and press thelugs into
thenotches in thegear housing.
3. Once theguard has been fitted onto
theangle grinder, you can rotate it to
therequired position. Lock theguard
in place by tightening thecam lever
clamp.
4. Make sure that theguard is securely
in place.
Auxiliary handle
Screw theauxiliary handle into thehole most suited for thework you are about to perform.
Battery
Fit anLXC battery to theangle grinder and make sure that it is pushed all theway into
thebattery holder.
On/off switch
Note: Carefully read all thesafety instructions and warnings above before operating
theangle grinder.
1. Hold thesafety switch in.
2. Press theon/off switch to turn theangle grinder on.
3. Release theon/off switch to turn theangle grinder off.

Overload protection and other safety features
Thebattery has anumber of safety features to prevent damage to theangle grinder
and battery during use.
• During short high-load situations theoverload protection may turn theangle
grinder off. This protection resets automatically. Release thetrigger, wait afew
seconds, ensure that there is no load and then restart theangle grinder. Theangle
grinder should now function normally again.
• If subjected to ahigh-load for anextended period theoverheating protection may
turn theangle grinder off. This feature is self-resetting but theangle grinder cannot
be restarted until it has returned to normal operating temperature. Let theangle
grinder/battery cool properly before trying to start working again. Adverse
temperatures can occur in direct sunlight and should therefore be avoided.
• Thebattery has adeep discharge undervoltage protection device which operates
when thebattery becomes discharged. Theundervoltage protection device turns
theangle grinder off automatically and thebattery then needs to be recharged.
Care, maintenance and storage
Always remove thebattery from theangle grinder before performing any
adjustment, service or maintenance.
Cleaning and storage
• Clean theexterior of theangle grinder with asoft brush or cloth. Never use water,
solvents or corrosive chemicals for cleaning.
• Regularly remove all dirt, especially from around themotor ventilation slits (4).
• Store theangle grinder in adry place out of children’s reach whenever it is not to
be used for along time.
Troubleshooting guide
Theangle grinder
does not start.
Discharged or incorrectly inserted battery. Charge thebattery
and ensure that it is properly connected.
Theangle grinder
is sluggish and/or
shuts off.
• Too much force applied. Decrease theapplied force.
• Thebattery might be overheated. Read theOverload
protection and other safety features section.
Poor battery
operating time.
• Thebattery is not fully charged. Afew charging cycles where
thebattery is charged 100% might be needed before it
reaches full capacity.
• Thebattery needs replacing.
Thebattery does
not charge.
• Thebattery is not correctly inserted into thecharger.
• Thebattery or charger contacts are dirty. Disconnect
thecharger from thepower supply and clean thecontacts.
• Themains lead is not securely plugged into thewall socket.
• Check that thewall socket is energised.
• Thecharger or mains lead is damaged.
• Thebattery needs replacing.

level values declared in this instruction manual have been carried out in accordance
with astandardised test method described in EN60745 and can be used for
comparing one power tool with another.
• Themeasurement method may also be used for apreliminary assessment of
vibration exposure.
• Thedeclared vibration emission level applies when thepower tool is used in
accordance with this instruction manual. If however, thepower tool is used for
other purposes and with other accessories or has not been properly maintained,
thevibration emission level could increase significantly over thetotal working period.
• For anexact assessment of thevibration exposure, thetimes when thetool is
switched off or running idle should also be taken into account. This significantly
reduces thevibration exposure over thetotal working period. Decide upon safety

a) Var uppmärksam på vad du gör och använd sunt förnuft när du använder
ettelektriskt handverktyg. Användinte ettelektriskt handverktyg om du
är trött eller påverkad av droger, alkohol eller medicinering. Ettögonblicks
ouppmärksamhet när du använder ettelektriskt handverktyg kan resultera iallvarlig
personskada.
b) Använd skyddsutrustning. Bäralltid skyddsglasögon. Användning av skydds-
utrustning som andningsskydd, halksäkra skyddsskor, hjälm och hörselskydd vid
behov minskar risken för personskada.
c) Undvik oavsiktlig start. Setill att strömbrytaren är iläge OFF innan du ansluter
stickproppen till vägguttaget. Attbära ettelektriskt handverktyg med ettfinger
på strömbrytaren/avtryckaren eller att ansluta ettelektriskt handverktyg till elnätet
när strömbrytaren är iläge ON inbjuder till olyckor.
d) Ta bort alla serviceverktyg/nycklar innan du slår på det elektriska handverktyget.
Ettkvarglömt serviceverktyg på enroterande del av det elektriska handverktyget
kan resultera ipersonskada.
e) Sträck dig inte för långt. Setill att du står stadigt med god balans hela tiden.
Dettamöjliggör bättre kontroll ioväntade situationer.
f) Bär lämplig klädsel. Bärinte löst sittande kläder eller smycken. Hållundan
hår, kläder och handskar undan från rörliga delar. Lösakläder, smycken eller
långt hår kan fastna irörliga delar.
g) Om utrustning för utsugning och uppsamling av damm finns tillgänglig,
se till att denna är ansluten och används. Användning av dessa hjälpmedel
kan minska dammrelaterade faror.
4) Användning och underhåll av det elektriska handverktyget
a) Pressa inte det elektriska handverktyget. Användettelektriskt handverktyg
som är avsett för det arbetsmoment du utför. Korrekt elektriskt handverktyg gör
jobbet bättre och säkrare med avsedd matningshastighet.
b) Använd inte det elektriska handverktyget om strömbrytaren inte slår på och
stänger av verktyget. Allaelektriska handverktyg som inte kan kontrolleras med
strömbrytaren är farliga och måste repareras.
c) Ta stickproppen ur vägguttaget innan du utför några justeringar, byter
tillbehör eller lägger undan det elektriska handverktyget för förvaring.
Dessaåtgärder iförebyggande syfte minskar risken för att starta det elektriska
handverktyget oavsiktligt.
d) Förvara elektriska handverktyg som inte används utom räckhåll för barn och
låt inte personer som inte är förtrogna med det elektriska handverktyget
eller dessa instruktioner använda det. Elektriska handverktyg är farliga om de
kommer ihänderna på ovana användare.
e) Underhåll elektriska handverktyg. Kontrollera om något är felinställt, om
rörliga delar kärvar, om delar har gått sönder eller om något annat inträffat
som kan påverka funktionen hos det elektriska handverktyget. Omnågot är
skadat måste det repareras före användning. Mångaolyckor beror på dåligt
underhållna elektriska handverktyg.

f) Håll verktygen vassa och rena. Ordentligt underhållna skärverktyg med vassa
eggar är mindre benägna att kärva och lättare att kontrollera.
g) Använd det elektriska handverktyget, tillbehör och liknande enligt instruktionerna
och på det sätt som är ämnat för just den typen av elektriskt handverktyg,
och ta även hänsyn till arbetsförhållandena och den typ av arbete som ska
utföras. Användning av det elektriska handverktyget för andra arbeten än vad det
är ämnat för kan resultera ienfarlig situation.
5) Användning och service av det laddbara handverktyget
a) Ladda batteriet endast med enladdare som är utvald av tillverkaren.
Enladdare som passar till entyp av batteri kan orsaka brandrisk om den används
till enannan typ av batteri.
b) Använd laddbara handverktyg endast tillsammans med därför ämnade batterier.
Användning av andra batterier kan orsaka skade- och brandrisk.
c) När batteriet inte används, förvara det på avstånd från andra metallföremål
som gem, mynt, nycklar, spikar, skruvar eller andra små metallföremål som
kan skapa kontakt från den ena batteripolen till den andra. Kortslutning av
batteripolerna kan orsaka brännskador ellerbrand.
d) Om batteriet misshandlas kan syra läcka ut. Undvikkontakt med syran.
Omdu av misstag kommer ikontakt med syran, spola med vatten. Omsyran
kommer ikontakt med ögonen, uppsök läkare. Syrasom kommer från batteriet
kan orsaka irritation och brännskador.
6) Service
a) Låt behörig personal utföra service och reparationer, och endast med
originalreservdelar. Dettagaranterar att säkerheten hos det elektriska
handverktygetbehålls.
Särskilda säkerhetsvarningar gällande slipning, putsning,
trådborstning eller kapning
a) Använd sidohandtag om sådant medföljer verktyget. Om du förlorar kontrollen över
verktyget kan detta leda till personskada.
b) Håll i elhandverktygets isolerade handtag när du använder det där skärverktyget
kan komma i kontakt med dolda ledningar. Om skärverktyget kommer i kontakt
med strömförande ledningar kan oisolerade delar av elhandverktyget bli strömfö-
rande och användaren riskerar att utsättas för elektrisk stöt.
c) Detta elektriska handverktyg är avsett för slipning, putsning, trådborstning och
kapning. Läs alla säkerhetsvarningar, instruktioner, illustrationer och specifikatio-
ner som medföljer detta verktyg. Underlåtelse att följa alla instruktioner nedan kan
resultera ielektrisk chock, brand och/eller allvarlig skada.
d) Polering rekommenderas ej att utföras med detta elektriska handverktyg.
Utförande av arbeten som detta verktyg inte är avsett för kan orsaka fara och leda
till personlig skada.

e) Använd inte tillbehör som inte är speciellt avsedda och rekommenderade
av verktygstillverkaren. Även om tillbehöret kan monteras på ditt elektriska
handverktyg är det ingen försäkran om säker användning.
f) Märkhastigheten på tillbehöret måste minst motsvara den maximala hastigheten
märkt på det elektriska handverktyget. Tillbehör som roterar snabbare än
märkhastigheten kan gå sönder och falla isär.
g) Ytterdiametern och tjockleken på tillbehöret måste vara inom märkkapaciteten
på ditt elektriska handverktyg.
h) Axelstorleken på skivor, flänsar och stödrondeller eller något annat tillbehör måste
passa spindeln på ditt elektriska handverktyg ordentligt. Tillbehör vars fästhål inte
passar ihop med det monterade tillbehöret hamnar iobalans, vibrerar häftigt och
kan orsaka att du tappar kontrollen.
i) Använd inte ettskadat tillbehör. Inspektera tillbehören och se om det finns flisor eller
sprickor på slipskivorna, sprickor, nötningar eller slitage på stödrondellen, eller lös
eller trasig borst på stålborstrondellerna. Om du tappar ditt elektriska handverktyg
eller etttillbehör, kontrollera om det finns skador eller montera ettoskadat tillbehör.
Efter inspektion och montering av etttillbehör, placera dig själv och åskådare utanför
maskinens riskområde och kör det elektriska handverktyget på fullt varvtal ienminut.
Skadade tillbehör går normalt sönder under testperioden.
j) Bär personlig skyddsutrustning. Beroende på hur du använder maskinen, använd
ansiktsskydd eller skyddsglasögon. Vid behov, använd ansiktsmask, hörselskydd,
handskar och arbetsförkläde som skyddar mot små slippartiklar eller flisor från
arbetsstycket. Ögonskyddet ska kunna skydda mot kringflygande skräp som
bildas vid olika arbetsmoment. Andningsskyddet ska kunna filtrera partiklar som
bildas vid arbetet. Långvarig vistelse ibuller kan orsaka hörselskador.
k) Håll åskådare på behörigt avstånd från arbetsplatsen. Alla som besöker
arbetsplatsen måste bära personlig skyddsutrustning. Flisor från arbetsstycket
eller från etttrasigt tillbehör kan flyga iväg och orsaka skada utanför arbetets
omedelbara närområde.
l) Placera sladden på avstånd från det roterande tillbehöret. Om du förlorar kontrollen
kan sladden kapas eller fastna och din hand eller arm kan dras in idet roterande
tillbehöret.
m) Lägg aldrig ifrån dig det elektriska handverktyget innan tillbehöret har stannat helt.
Det roterande tillbehöret kan fastna iunderlaget och dra iväg verktyget utanför din
kontroll.
n) Kör inte det elektriska handverktyget när du bär det med dig. Oavsiktlig kontakt
med det roterande tillbehöret kan göra att det fastnar idina kläder och dra
verktyget mot kroppen.
o) Rengör regelbundet motorns ventilationsöppningar. Motorns fläkt drar åt sig
damm som kommer in under höljet, och överflödigt metallspån som ansamlats
kan orsaka elektriska faror.
p) Använd inte det elektriska handverktyget inärheten av lättantändliga material.
Gnistor kan antända dessa material.
q) Använd inte tillbehör som kräver kylvätskor. Användning av vatten eller andra
kylvätskor kan resultera ielektrisk chock eller dödande elektrisk stöt.

Kast och tillhörande varningar
Kast är enplötslig reaktion på enklämd eller fastkörd rondell, stödrondell, trådborste
eller något annat tillbehör. Klämning eller fastkörning orsakar ettsnabbt stopp av det
roterande tillbehöret som isin tur gör att det elektriska handverktyget tvingas imotsatt
riktning mot tillbehörets rotation vid fastkörningspunkten.
Till exempel, om enslipskiva fastnar eller kläms fast iarbetsstycket kan kanten
av slipskivan få grepp iarbetsstycket och orsaka att slipskivan gräver sig ner eller
kastas upp. Slipskivan kastas antingen mot eller bort från användaren, beroende på
rotationsriktningen på slipskivan när den fastnar. Slipskivor kan också gå sönder under
dessa omständigheter.
Kast är resultatet av att det elektriska handverktyget används på fel sätt, för fel
saker eller under felaktiga förhållanden och kan undvikas genom att nedanstående
försiktighetsåtgärder vidtas.
a) Håll stadigt idet elektriska handverktyget och håll armarna och kroppen så att du
kan parera kast. Använd alltid hjälphandtaget om det finns ettsådant för maximal
kontroll över kast eller reaktioner på vridmomentet vid start. Kast eller reaktioner
på vridmomentet kan kontrolleras av användaren om nödvändiga försiktighets-
åtgärder vidtas.
b) Placera aldrig din hand nära det roterande tillbehöret. Tillbehöret kan få ettkast
över din hand.
c) Ställ dig inte inom det område där det elektriska handverktyget kan tänkas hamna
om det inträffar ettkast. Kast driver verktyget imotsatt riktning mot slipskivans
rotation vid fastkörningspunkten.
d) Var extra försiktig när du bearbetar hörn, vassa kanter etc. Undvik att studsa
med och sätta fast tillbehöret. Hörn, vassa kanter och studsning har entendens
att sätta fast det roterande tillbehöret och orsaka kast eller att du tappar kontrollen
över verktyget.
e) Montera aldrig fast ettsågblad med sågkedja för träbearbetning eller etttandat
sågblad. Sådana blad orsakar frekventa kast och gör att du tappar kontrollen.
Säkerhetsvarningar speciellt för slipning och kapning med
kapskiva
a) Använd endast skivtyper som är rekommenderade för det elektriska handverktyget
och ettspeciellt sprängskydd avsett för den valda kapskivan. Skivor som inte är
avsedda för det elektriska handverktyget kan inte skyddas ordentligt och kan vara
farliga.
b) Sprängskyddet ska monteras på det elektriska handverktyget på ettsäkert sätt
och inställt för maximal säkerhet, så att användaren utsätts för så liten del som
möjligt av skivan. Sprängskyddet hjälper till att skydda användaren från trasiga
skivdelar och oavsiktlig kontakt med skivan.
c) Skivorna får endast användas för rekommenderade arbetsmoment. Till exempel:
Slipa inte med sidan av enkapskiva. Kapskivor är avsedda för slipning med
kanten, utsätts de för krafter från sidan kan de splittras.

d) Använd alltid oskadade skivflänsar av rätt storlek och form för den skiva du har
valt. Passande skivflänsar stöder skivan och minskar risken för att den ska gå
sönder. Flänsar för kapskivor kan vara olika mot dem som används för slipskivor.
e) Använd aldrig nedslitna skivor från ettstörre elektrisk handverktyg. Skivor avsedda
för större elektriska handverktyg passar inte för det varvtal som mindre verktyg har
och kan därför spricka.
Ytterligare säkerhetsvarningar speciellt för kapning
med kapskiva
a) Pressa inte kapskivan eller lägg på för mycket tryck. Försök inte att kapa för djupt.
Överbelastning av skivan ökar trycket och mottagligheten för att skivan ska vridas
eller fastna isnittet och risken för kast eller att skivan går sönder.
b) Ställ dig aldrig ilinje med eller bakom den roterande skivan. När skivan under
användning rör sig bort från dig kan ettkast driva den roterande skivan och det
elektriska handverktyget direkt mot dig.
c) När skivan fastnar eller om du av någon anledning vill avbryta enkapning, stäng av det
elektriska handverktyget och håll still det tills skivan har stannat helt. Försök aldrig
att ta bort kapskivan från kapspåret medan skivan är irörelse eftersom det då kan
inträffa kast. Undersök och vidta nödvändiga åtgärder för att minimera riskerna för
att kapskivan ska fastna.
d) Efter stopp, återstarta inte kapningen med skivan iarbetsstycket. Låt skivan nå fullt
varvtal först och fortsätt sedan försiktigt ikapspåret. Skivan kan fastna, vandra upp
ur kapspåret eller orsaka kast om kapningen återstartas iarbetsstycket.
e) Stöd stora skivor eller andra stora arbetsstycken för att minimera risken för fastkörning
eller kast. Stora skivor tenderar att bågna av sin egen vikt. Stöd måste placeras
under skivan nära kapspåret och nära kanten på arbetsstycket på båda sidor om
kapskivan.
f) Var extra försiktig vid instickskapning iväggar eller andra föremål där du inte ser
var du sågar. Den utskjutande sågklingan kan såga igas- eller vattenledningar,
elkablar eller andra föremål som kan orsaka kast.
Säkerhetsvarningar speciellt för putsning
a) Använd inte för stora sliprondeller. Följ tillverkarens rekommendationer när du väljer
sliprondeller. Större sliprondeller som sticker ut utanför stödrondellen innebär risk
för sönderslitning och kan orsaka att rondellen fastnar, går sönder eller att det
inträffar kast.

Säkerhetsvarningar speciellt för trådborstning
a) Tänk på att borst lossnar från trådborsten även vid normal användning. Pressa inte
trådborsten genom att lägga på för mycket tryck. Lös borst kan enkelt gå igenom
tunna kläder eller huden.
b) Om sprängskydd rekommenderas vid trådborstning, se till att trådborsten inte
rör vid sprängskyddet. Trådborst kan expandera av arbetsbelastningen eller av
centrifugalkraften.
