7. Check that thesaw blade is well-centred, sharp and that it rotates freely and
without vibration.
8. Let themotor come up to speed before starting to cut.
9. Keep themotor ventilation openings clean and free of dust and debris.
10. Make sure that all clamps are tight before starting to saw, even if thetable is
locked at afixed angle.
11. Make sure that thesaw blade and flanges are clean and that thespindle nut is
tight. Use only theblade flanges belonging to your saw.
12. Theriving knife should have aradius compatible with thediameter of thesaw blade.
13. Use only saw blades having adiameter and speed rating complying with those in
thetechnical specifications.
14. When sawing long objects, make sure that theends are adequately supported.
15. Always check thesaw blade for cracks and fractures before using it. Replace
adamaged blade immediately.
16. Do not use thesaw if any of theparts is missing or if it is in any way damaged or
malfunctioning. Unplug thesaw from thewall socket if it makes any unusual noises
or vibrates excessively. Have thesaw repaired by qualified service personnel before
using it again.
17. Never use thesaw if any of thesafety devices is missing or not working properly.
18. Never stretch round or over thesaw blade when it is rotating. Maintain asteady
stance and remain balanced at all times.
19. Make sure that thesaw blade can rotate freely (especially after transportation/
blade changes) before plugging in and starting thesaw.
20. Do not use high speed steel (HSS) blades if thesaw is supplied with atungsten
carbide tipped (TCT) blade.
21. Turn thesaw off and wait until thesaw blade has completely stopped before
moving theworkpiece or adjusting any setting.
22. Do not remove any offcuts or jammed material from around theblade area until
theblade has stopped completely.
23. Never saw into ferrous metals, brick or mortar.
24. Never use thesaw near flammable fluids or gas.
25. Make sure that everyone using thesaw has read this entire instruction manual.
26. Operators of thesaw must be at least 18 years old. Operators aged 16 must be
supervised by aninstructor at all times. Keep children away from thesaw when it
is connected to thepower supply.
27. Makes sure that offcuts of theworkpiece are removed from thetable to ensure that
they are not ejected by thesaw blade.
28. Do not distract theoperator/s of thesaw.
29. Never try to stop thesaw blade by pushing something against theside of
theblade when thepower has been turned off.
30. Never use saw blades that do not comply with thespecifications in this instruction manual.
