Verve Mini
Foreword
This installation guide is briefly describing the operational aspects of the Verve Mini machine. In this
document, the step-wise instructions for installing and operating the various aspects of the machine with
visual screens are provided for easy and better understanding. It also describes the error messages
encountered while working with the machine with appropriate remedial actions required to be taken by the
service engineer.
This guide refers as the reference tool which guides the service engineer how to install the Verve Mini
machine without anyone else assistance. The information provided in this document ensures its uniqueness
and language quality. For safe and proper use of the product, please read this document carefully and follow
all the instructions.

System Requirements
The system requirements for the Print Control Center software are given as follow:

The printer should be installed in a clean, dust-free environment, with temperature and relative humidity
range which are given as below:
•Power ON: Temperature: 20 to 250C
Humidity : 20 to 55%RH (Non-condensing)
•Power OFF: Temperature: 5 to 400C
Humidity : 20 to 55%RH (Non-condensing)
3. Safety Requirements
Before operating the printer and Print Control Center Software for the first time, please read the document
carefully and follow all the usage instructions. While using the printer, kindly follow all the safety instructions
which are given below:
Fire Prevention
Inks and solvents must be enclosed in a special storage cabinet for inflammable liquids or within a separate
storage room and must be clearly identified to meet the professional requirements of safety regulations. Ink
storage must be strictly in compliance with local fire regulations for the use and storage of combustibles.
Ventilation
In order to prevent the danger caused by volatile gas accumulation, the storage room must have sufficient
ventilation.
Note: Solvent gas specific gravity is greater than the air, it would accumulate near the floor. Installation work
in the vicinity of electrical equipment must confirm the GB/T standards, national electrical regulation
requirements for level II sites, and installation by a corresponding qualification of the professional electrical
contractor.

Software Errors
While using the Print Control Center software, it is possible that some errors may occur. In such case, all the
errors or system messages will be displayed on the Error Information area. Read the error message and try
to resolve it. If you are not able to resolve the issue, please contact us or call at our customer care number
for more assistance.
4. Power Requirements
Before installing the printer, the below mentioned electrical requirements should be confirmed:
•Printer Power Usage –4KVA
•Uninterrupted Power Supply Requirement –7KVA, 230V AC, 50/60 Hz
•Single Phase (Recommended)
•Need 2 MCB (2 Pole each) of 32 Amp. (Rear Right Side of the machine)
Note: Power cords are packed with printer box.
5. Preparation before Installation
To install the printer, you must follow the below mentioned instructions for better use and long life of the
printer:
•Prepare the site as per the requirements like power requirement, environmental temperature.
•Configure PC as per the given system specification viz. RAM, operating system, processor, and
storage space.
•Arrange the machine handling tools to avoid delays like a forklift.
•Install the Print Control Center software by following all the instructions mentioned in the Installation
Guide.
•If any damage in packaging is founded, then immediately report the same to the dealer.
•Check printer accessories, if all required spares and accessories are received.
•During the installation, it is preferable that at least two operators are present for training, who have
proficient computer skills and printing experience.
•Keep the consumables like media and inks ready in advance to avoid any delay in installation. “Ask
customer to arrange the consumables “

6. Handling Precautions
Before operating the printer, the below mentioned instructions should strictly be followed:
•Printer
oPay full attention to the box handling marks
oFollow all the safety and handling precautions
oAvoid excess load on the printer
oDon’t cover the ventilation area of the printer
oProperly cover the printer while it is not in use
oAssemble the printer in the specified site area with relevant temperature and humidity
oProper power cable fitting and port availability
•Print Head
oAvoid losses due to print heads dry out situations
oClean print heads timely to avoid nozzle or any other blockage
oPerform nozzle test every time while start printing
oAppropriately calibrate the print head for high-quality printing services
•Ink
oUse recommended ink only
oDon’t shake the ink bottle or pouch
oStore ink in the mentioned site area to avoid dry or damage

7. Chiller Operating Instructions
Note: Please read all the operating instructions carefully before using and following it.
Important Instructions
•Please confirm that the input voltage is AC 220V and make sure no coolant leakage from joints of
water pipes before starting the equipment.
•Please confirm the cooling system is ON before turn on the UV LED lamp. Please shut down the main
power from the electrical board and then shut the cooling equipment after 3 minutes.
•Please confirm that the ambient temperature of the equipment shall be maximum 350C.
•Please confirm that the dust proof net must be cleaned weekly.
•Please confirm that the distance between UV LED lamp and printer nozzle is suggested to be more
than 5cm.
•Better to use antifreeze coolant.
Chiller Features
•Mercury free, safer, more environmentally friendly and energy efficient.
•Adopting more integrated COB package and available for customization.
•The UV LED lamp can instantly start up and work without preheating and standby mode.
•Unique design of small size and simple structure makes easier installation.
•Recycling coolant and rapid heat dissipating COB ensures longer lifespan of the UV LED lamp source.
•Higher luminous efficiency, less power consumption, long lifespan.
•The UV LED lamp is suitable for many curing base materials, like the soft, rigid, absorbent and non-
absorbent materials. Don’t need to deal with the heat radiation of thermosensitive base material.
•The UV LED light source is narrow band, which only give out useful light and no harmful UV light. As
a cold light source, the components have very low thermal radiation which cut much heat during
curing process.
Operation Rules
•Connect the AC 220V 50Hz power cable, signal control cable, UV LED lamp power cable and cooling
circulation water pipes. If the cooling equipment and power board are separate please connect them
with signal cable.
•Add coolant to the required level. Anti-freezing coolant must be used in freezing region.
•Switch on the power supply to confirm the operation of the water pump, the water pipes aren’t bent
and no coolant leakage. After 3-5 minutes operation, the air will be out from the pipes because the
length and reservoir volume of the water tank is enough. If not, please add the coolant again.
•Connect the signal cable (make sure the input voltage is within 3-24V). When the signal pass, the UV
LED lamp is ON and when the signal stop the UV LED lamp is OFF.
•Adjustment the potentiometer to control the power of the UV LED lamp.

Parameter Settings
Push the Set button for 5 seconds to read the parameter setting. Push the + -button to adjust the data, then
push the Set button to confirm the adjustment.

Push the Set button to set the default to be 50.
•Winter Mode (Constant temperature mode, default is 260C): The middle screen displays the current
setting temperature that can be changed using the + -button.
Water temperature (D1) = setting temperature (D2) + D - values(C1)
The setting range is 5-400C, the default is 300C. In addition, the setting temperature can’t exceed the
range of C4 –C5.
•Summer Mode (Intelligent Mode, Default is 1 0C): The middle screen displays the D-value of water
temperature and indoor temperature, press the + - button can change it. The setting range is (-
5~+50C).
Water temperature (D1) = Indoor temperature(D2) + D –values (C1)
D1 will display upper limit (C5) or lower limit (C4) value if room temperature is too high or too low
to beyond the upper or lower limit. For example: D2=10C, indoor temperature is 25 0C, so
D1=260C+C1, as C1=1.50C in default. So, the water temperature D1 should control in 24.5 ~ 27.50C.
Other Instances
•Whether in winter mode or summer mode, the chiller will stop refrigeration when the water
temperature lower than C4-0.5 0C and will return to normal control when the water temperature
higher than C4 + 0.5 0C.
•The heating wire start to work when the water temperature lower than C6 –0.5 0C and will stop work
when the water temperature higher than C6 + 0.5 0C.
•Press the Set button to enter the Setting mode, no operation for more than 10 seconds or press the
Set button again to exit the setting state.
oPress the Set button for 4s to restore the factory setting in the Setting mode.
oPress the switch to change the setting item, press the + -button to modify the parameter
value of the item.
oD1 will show the item code, D2 show the parameter value and the D3 shows value remains
same.

8. Assembling the Printer
Follow these steps to assemble the printer:
Step 1: Remove the cover of the machine.
Step 2: Place the machine in an even platform or place.
Step 3: With customer’s consent and as per machine site requirement, place the machine in the desired
orientation.
Step 4: Level the machine in both axis.
Step 5: Remove the carriage lock.
Step 6: Connect the following to the Chiller unit, as sown below:

a) Chiller pipes to the IN and Out port
b) Left and right UV lamp cables to the UV1 and UV2 ports
c) Chiller control cable
d) Main Power cable
Step 7: Fill the distill water with coolant mixed in ratio 70:30

Step 8: Connect the Vacuum Pump connector in the rear panel, to the Vacuum Pump power cord, as
shown below:

Step 9: Connect the vacuum hose pipe to the vacuum pump to the inlet port, as shown below:

Step 10: Connect the Machine main power cable and Vacuum power cable to power outlet board, as shown
below:

Step 11:Connect USB to the computer system
Now, the machine gets assembled and you can work on it.
Chiller Setting
The Chiller Unit is shown in the image below:

Settings Chiller temperature and intensity of UV lamps:
•Chiller Temperature Control: Enable to set chiller temperature.
Steps to set the Chiller temperature:
Step 1: Press the Set Button.
Step 2: Press Up or Down arrow button to adjust the temperature.
Step 3: After adjusting temperature, again press the Set button.
•UV1 Regulator: Setting the intensity of UV Lamp 1.
•UV2 Regulator: Setting the intensity of UV Lamp 2.

9. Installation of Print Control Center
Follow these steps to install the Print Control Center:
Step 1: Insert CD in the CD drive.
Step 2: Navigate the Setup file path to start the installation process, as shown below:

Step 3: Double click on the Setup icon (Refer to Fig 8). The installation process gets started.
Step 4: Select the Setup Type as per the configuration from the Setup Type screen, as shown below:

Now, the Print Control Center software is installed in your system and also a shortcut of it is created on the
desktop, as shown below:

Now, the print control center gets installed.
Custom Software Settings
Enabling Administrator Mode
Please remember that software must be run as an administrator. Follow these steps to run the software as
an administrator:
Step 1: Right click on the Verve Mini software icon available on the desktop. The list of options appears on
the screen, as shown below:

Step 2: Select the Properties option form the list. The Properties dialog box appears.
Step 3: Select the Compatibility tab.

Step 4: Select the “Run this program as an administrator”check box, as shown below:

Step 5: Click the Apply button then OK.
Now, the Print Control Center Software runs as an administrator.
Verifying Software Settings
Note: Refer to the Readme files save in the CD and verify all the given parameter with the software
values. If not same then correct the value in the software.
Print Head Configuration
When we open the Print Control Center, 1190 error appears on the screen. To remove this error, the desired
head configuration has to be selected. To select the head configuration settings, click on the Maintenance
→Voltage path, the following screen appears as shown below:

Note: Before setting print head configuration, service engineer has to provide the password in the user
login screen.

Follow these steps to configure print head:
Step 1: Select the desired option as per ink from the Print Head Configuration list box.
Step 2: Click on the Load Configuration button.
Step 3: Click on the Apply button to apply the settings.
Now, print heads get configured.
To open the Print Control Center screen, double-click on the Print Control Center icon at desktop. The Print
Control Center screen appears as shown below:

Software Settings
Print Size
In Verve Mini, total print size is 1000X1600 mm (WxH). To specify an image size, user needs to click on the
Task Select menu and navigate the image file path. After this, double-click on the image . The Properties
dialog box appears on the screen, as shown below:

In the above image, user can print a particular region in the selected image simply by selecting the Region
check box (Refer to Fig 15) and then specify the width and height of the image. Similarly, if you want to print
multiple copies of the same image then first select the Multi Copy check box and specify X Cnt and Y Cnt
values.
White and Varnish Settings
The White Color Settings are explained as below:

Description of different options for the White Color printing:
•No Print: No white color is printed.
•Full: White will be printed completely all over the image.
•Valid Image: White color is printed same as the percentage of CMYK color in the selected image.
•Invalid Image: White color is printed where CMYK color is not present in the selected image.
•RIP Color: White color is printed as per the RIP file.
After selecting the desired above-mentioned option for white color, select the printing direction from the
Material Dir list box available on the Properties dialog box.
•Forward: Color over white.
•Reverse: White over color.
For example, Reverse case is used while printing on glass.
The Varnish Color settings are shown in the image below:

Description of different options for the Varnish Color printing:
•No Print: No varnish color is printed.
•Full: Varnish will be printed completely all over the image.
•Valid Image: Varnish color is printed same as the percentage of CMYK color in the selected image.
•RIP Data: Varnish color is printed as per the RIP file.
