Set Gateway Password
For the GDX Gateway to make a secure connection into Housing Central a password must be set in
both Housing Central and the GDX Gateway device.
1. To set the password on the GDX Gateway device, connect a network cable to the LAN
input (ETH2) of the GDX Gateway device.
2. Connect the network cable to your laptop and open a browser.
3. Navigate to 192.168.0.1:5001/ in the browser.
4. You will be asked for the username and password of.
Username: sysadmin
Password: Gateway1
5. The following screen will be shown.
6. Click Stop.
7. Select the Settings option.
8. Choose Set Gateway Password from the dropdown.
9. Set the password to be the same password that was set for the gateway in Housing
Central.
10. Click Set.
11. The gateway will change to the Gateway Configuration page.
12. Make a note of the serial number.
13. Click the Home option.
14. Click Start Service.
15. The Sync Status will change from Unknown to Connected.
If the sync status is not connected, check the network connection is up and the
password matches in Housing Central (Use the serial number as reference).
16. Click Event Log to view all events being processed by the gateway when connected to
Housing Central.
17. Click Hardware to see the devices connected to the gateway.
