PRESCRIPTIONS
• The control unit does not have any type of 230 Vac
power line sectioning device; it will therefore be the
installer’s responsibility to install a sectioning device
in the system. An omnipolar switch with overvoltage
category III must be installed. It must be positioned
so as to be protected against accidental reclosing
in accordance with the provisions of point 5.2.9
of EN 12453. The wiring of the various electrical
components external to the control unit must be
carried out in accordance with the prescriptions of
the EN 60204-1 standard and the modications
to this is made from point 5.2.7 of EN 12453.
The power supply cables can have a maximum
diameter of 14 mm; the xing of the power and
connection cables must be guaranteed through
the assembly of cable glands, available as optional.
• For power cables it is recommended to use
exible cables in insulating sheath in harmonized
polychloroprene (H05RN-F) with a minimum
conductor cross-section of 1 mm2.
• When installing, use only double-insulated
cables (sheathed cables) both for mains voltage
connections (230V) and for SELV safety extra-low
voltage connections. Use only plastic channels,
separate for low voltage wiring (230V) and for extra
low voltage wiring (SELV).
•
The conductors with very low safety voltage must be
separated (at least 4 mm in air) from the mains voltage
conductors, or they must be adequately insulated with
additional insulation having a thickness of at least 1 mm.
• Provide a device that ensures complete omnipolar
disconnection of the network upstream of the automation
power supply network, with a contact opening distance
at each pole of at least 3mm. These disconnection
devices must be provided in the power supply network
in accordance with the installation rules and must be
directly connected to the power supply terminals.
• In the case of installation inside a QUAD control
panel, be careful when drilling the external casing
to pass the power supply and connection cables,
and the assembly of the cable glands, to install
everything so as to keep the IP rating of the box
as unaltered as possible. Also pay attention to
the
cables so that they are anchored in a stable manner,
and not to damage the board with the puncture.
• The casing in the back is provided with suitable
predispositions for xing to the wall (predisposition
for holes by means of plugs or holes for xing by
screws). Predict and implement all the precautions
for an installation that does not alter the IP rating.

The possible assembly of a push-button panel for manual
control must be done by positioning the push-button
panel so that the user is not in a dangerous position.
• The gearmotor used to move the gate must comply
with the requirements of point 5.2.7 of EN 12453.
• The FOTO + output (CN2) is necessarily dedicated to powering
the photocells, they cannot be used for other applications.
• The control unit can perform the photocell operation
test at each cycle of operation, guaranteeing
protection against the failure of Category 2 anti-
crushing devices according to the provisions of
point 5.1.1.6. of EN 12453. Therefore if the safety
devices are not connected and / or are not working
the control unit is not enabled for operation.
• The device cannot be used by children under the
age of 8 or by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental abilities, or lacking in experience
or the necessary knowledge,if not undersupervision
or after they have received instructions relating to
safe use of the appliance and understanding of the
dangers inherent in it. Do not allow children to play
with the device and keep remote controls away
from them. Cleaning and maintenance intended to
be carried out by the user must not be carried out
by children without supervision.
Note: keep this instruction manual and respect
the important safety instructions contained in it.
Failure to comply with the regulations could cause
damage and serious accidents.
Examine the system frequently to detect any signs
of damage.

5 DESCRIPTION AND PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS
The control panel has a MAIN MENU and two sub-menus called EXTENDED MENUS to customize the programming and the various system
functions.
Pressing the SELECT button several times in succession you can scroll through the menu displayed by the 7 LEDs to choose the desired
function (ashing LED correspondingly ashing) and change its functionality with the SET button (the LED becomes xed with function
enabled or, conversely, off with function disabled).
The rst available menu is the MAIN menu summarized in Tab no. 2:

6.2 FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS
6.2.1 AUTOMATIC OPERATION (OPEN/CLOSE):
When either a stored remote or the connected low voltage pushbutton panel is
used to control the gate, operation is as follows:
the rst command opens the gate until motor time elapses or until the gate
reaches its opening limit position; the second command closes the gate; if
another command is transmitted before motor time has elapsed or before one
of the two limiters has been reached, the control unit reverses the movement
direction during both opening and closing.
6.2.2 STEP-BY-STEP OPERATION:
With the enabled function (LED L2 turned ON by factory), when either the
remote or the low voltage control pushbuttons are used to control the gate,
operation is as follows:
the rst command opens the gate until motor time or until the gate reaches
its opening limit position; the second command closes the gate; if another
command is transmitted before motor time has elapsed or before one of the
limit stops has been reached, the control unit stops the movement (if the pause
time was previously programmed, the control unit automatically closes at the
end of the period). Another command causes the gate to start moving again in
the opposite direction.
6.2.3 STEP-BY-STEP WITH CLOSURE:
With the enabled function, when either the remote or the low voltage control
pushbuttons are used to control the gate, operation is as follows:
the rst command opens the gate until motor time or until the gate reaches
its opening limit position; the second command closes the gate; if another
command is transmitted before motor time has elapsed or before one of the
limit stops has been reached,
the control unit always stops the movement both during the opening and closing
phases (even if the pause time has been previously programmed). Another
command causes the gate to start moving again in the opposite direction.
6.2.4 AUTOMATIC CLOSING:
The control unit can be set up to close the gate automatically without sending
any additional commands.
The selection of this type of operation is described in Pause time programming
mode PAUSE TIME.
6.2.5 PEDESTRIAN OPENING:
The control unit allows, using both the radio control and the Ped input button,
the operation of the Motor for a programmable time (equal to or less than the
one stored with the “Motor time”, see section 7.2.2).
6.2.6 EMERGENCY STOP INPUT:
The control unit allows the connection of the emergency stop button (NC).
Intervention of the control unit during any stage of operation causes movement
to immediately stop. An additional movement command will be valid provided
the emergency stop input has been disabled with pre-ashing for 5 seconds.
Note: Input closed by factory; take out the jumper once you connect the button.

6.2.7 PHOTOCELLS:
Photocells can be powered by and connected to the control unit in accordance
with directive EN 12453.
DS1 Input (NC)
Tripping of the photocells during opening is disregarded, while during closing it
causes reversal of the direction of movement.
To allow operation in compliance with EN 13849-1 Category 2 a photocell
test is performed before each movement. To be able to carry out this test, it
is essential to power each pair of photocells using the dedicated output. The
control unit enables the movement only if the test is passed; if it is not, the
control unit inhibits all movements and an alarm condition is signalled by blinking
of all the programming LEDs on transmission of any command.
Note: DS1 Input is factory bridged. To wire the photocells, remove the jumper
from the respective input.
6.2.8 OPENING AND CLOSING LIMIT SWITCHES:
The control unit allows for the connection of Opening and Closing
limit switches (N.C. inputs). Tripping in the associated operating stages causes
immediate stopping of movement for the Motor output.
Note: Do not jumper these inputs if they are not used
6.2.9 OPERATION WITH TIMER:
The control unit allows a timer to be connected in the place of the PP (step-by-
step) command button.
Example: hour 08:00 the timer closes the contact and the control unit
commands opening, hour 18:00 the timer opens the contract and the control
unit commands closing.
During the 08:00-18:00 interval, at the end of the opening phase, the control
unit disables the ashing light, the automatic closing and the radio controls.
6.3 TRIMMERS ADJUSTMENTS
SLOW FORCE
6.3.1 DECELERATION (SLOWING):
The motor deceleration function is used in the gates to prevent the mobile
doors from striking at high speed at the end of opening and closure.
When programming the Motor Time, the control unit also allows deceleration
to be programmed in the desired points (before total opening and closure).
Moreover, through the “SLOWING” trimmer it is possible to regulate the nal
intensity of the speed during the deceleration stage.
Using the “Motor time” function it is nonetheless possible to eliminate the
deceleration stage.
6.3.2 REGULATION OF MOTOR POWER (FORCE):
The electronic control unit features a “FORCE” trimmer to regulate the motor
power, entirely managed by the micro-processor.
Regulation can be made within a range from 50% to 100% of the maximum
Power.
For each movement, an initial breakaway is however provided, feeding the
motor for 2 seconds at the maximum power even if the adjustment of the
motor torque is engaged.
Note: the initial tick is automatically disabled if the Soft Start
function is enabled.
CAUTION: A variation of the trimmer “SLOW” requires the repetition of the
learning procedure, since the times of manoeuvre and slowing may vary.
6.3.3 BLACK-OUT:
In the case of a black-out and subsequent restoration of the power supply,
the rst manoeuvre will be in opening with a xed speed as set by the
trimmer “SLOWING”; when a mechanical block is encountered, in the
absence of an electrical limit switch, the doors will not be obstructed, but
will execute a STOP (version with encoder). With a subsequent command,
the doors will close again at reduced speed until completely closed. The
next manoeuvre will be at the speeds set by the trimmers.
7 DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE
PROGRAMMING
PROGRAMMING:
SELECT key: it determines the type of function to be memorized, as indicated
by the blinking of the LED. By pressing the key several times, it is possible to
scroll the menu and move to the desired function. The selection remains active
for 10 seconds, displayed by the ashing LED; when this interval elapses, the
control unit exits programming.
SET key: it conrms and changes the programming according to the type of
function determined by the SELECT key.
Following conrmation, the respective LED remains on / off for about 2 sec. and
then starts ashing again.
Note important:
- The function of the SET key can also be replaced by the remote control if
previously programmed (LED L3 CODE TX lit);
- Programming enabled only with the closure of N.C contacts.

7.1.1. LED L1 - OPENING DIRECTION (DIR):
The control unit in the default conguration presents the “OPEN TO RIGHT” logic;
to enable the “OPEN TO LEFT” logic, proceed as follows:
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED no.1;
• Press the SET key;
• The LED L1 turns off and programming will be completed.
Repeat the procedure if you wish to restore the previous conguration.
7.1.2. LED L2 - STEP BY STEP or OPEN-CLOSE:
In the default conguration the control unit is set with “Step-By-Step” operating
logic enabled; if the “Automatic Open-Close” operating logic is required (LED

7.1.3. LED L3 - CODE TX: Remote controls storage
Up to 120 remotes with different codes of either the xed or the rolling code type
can be saved on the control unit.
Remote control code programming of the total opening :
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED L3 “CODE TX”;
• Press key SET once to memorize the PP channel;
• Send the selected code with the remote control;
• The LED L3 will remain steady on for a second to indicate that programming
has been completed;

• The LED L3 starts to blink again to indicate that you have 10 additional sec.
to store a new code;
• On expiry of those 10 sec. the LED L3 will remain steady on.
Remote control code programming of the partial / pedestrian opening :
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED L3 “CODE TX”;
• Press key SET twice to memorize the PPED channel;
• Send the selected code with the remote control;
• The LED L3 will remain steady on for a second to indicate that programming
has been completed. The extra time of 10 sec. to store a new PPED channel
is then preview as for the PP channel.
Important note: If a code has already been entered or all 120 codes have
been memorized, by repeating the programming operation, all the programming
LEDs will start to ash, indicating that no further storing is possible.
Deletion of remote control codes:
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED L3 “CODE TX”;
• Activate the blinking of the code to be deleted (P.P. or PED., indicated by the
respective blinking);
• Press and hold down key SET for more than 5 sec.;
• The LED switches off for 2 sec. and the procedure is completed;
Important note: If both channels codes are deleted, the LED will remain off, by
the contrary if only PEDESTRIAN codes remain stored, the LED blinking mode
will change (1 1 1 1 0 1 1 1 1 0).
Rule of the rst saved Remote control:
When programming remotes the following rule is applied: if the rst remote to
be saved is a rolling code type, the receiver will subsequently accept only rolling
code remotes (thus providing enhanced anti-intrusion security); if the rst remote
to be saved is a xed code type, the receiver will subsequently accept both
xed code remotes and rolling code remotes, although only the xed part of
the latter will be controlled (thus effectively relinquishing the security of the rolling
code system).
7.1.4. LED L4 - CONDO: “Condominium” logic:
The enabling of the Condominium function means that during the opening
movement or during the pause time the control unit will not respond to
commands sent by Pushbuttons or remotes. In contrast, during the closing
movement a command sent by the Pushbuttons or the remotes will reverse the
direction of movement. This operating mode is invaluable when the automation
includes a loop detector.
In the default conguration the control unit is set with the Condominium function
disabled; if the Condominium function is required, proceed as follows:
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED no.4;
• Press the SET key;
• LED L4 becomes steady on and programming will be completed.
Repeat the procedure if you wish to restore the previous conguration.
7.1.5 LED L5 - MOTOR TIME: Programming of the motors stroke (max 4
min.)
The control unit is factory set with a motor time of 30 seconds without
deceleration.
To set a new stroke, programming must be carried out with the leaf in closed
position as follows:
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED no.5;
• Press the SET key; The motor starts the opening phase;
• In correspondence with the desired initial point of deceleration, once again
press the SET button, LED L5 will start to ash slowly and the Motor will begin
the deceleration phase;
• Press SET key to determinate the opening end stop;
• Once programming of the motor time in Opening has been completed,
the Motor immediately restarts in Closing: repeat the above procedures
for the Closing phase of the Motor, the deceleration phase and that of the
determination of the limit switch in closing.
Notes:
- If you do not want the control unit to perform the deceleration, during
programming, at the completion of the opening and closing cycles, press the
SET button twice consecutively;
- During programming, the remote control button (only if previously programmed)
may be used instead of the control unit SET button.
- If the CU power supply was disconnected before programming, the manoeuvre
after programming will be in opening at the deceleration speed
7.1.6. LED L6 - PAUSE TIME Automatic closing time programming
The control unit is factory set with automatic closing disabled.
If you wish to enable automatic closing proceed as follows:
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED no.6;
• Press the SET key;
• Wait for a time equivalent to the desired time interval (from 1 sec. up to 4
min.);
• Press the SET key again momentarily and at the same time the automatic
closing time will be saved and LED L6 will remain steady on;
If you wish to restore the initial condition (no automatic closing) select blinking
LED L6 and then press the SET key twice consecutively in a time period of 2
seconds. The LED will switch off and the operation will be completed.
During programming, instead of the SET key on the control unit you can use the
button on the remote, providing the remote has been saved beforehand.
7.1.7. LED L7 - AUTOMATIC PROGRAMMING:
The control unit allows Automatic Programming (SIMPLIFIED ONLY WITH
ELECTRONIC LIMIT SWITCH) to automatically regulate the stroke and
decelerations of the door. To carry out the programming, proceed as
follows:
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED no.7;
• Press the SET key;
• To determine its zero position, the motor performs its closure until it reaches
the limit switch or mechanical stop;
• The control unit executes the Auto programming procedure by performing
a complete opening and closing cycle and the Deceleration cycle is set
automatically too at approximately 15% of the complete cycle;
• Press the SET button to memorize the motor stroke.
During Automatic Programming, instead of the SET key on the control unit
you can use the button on the remote, providing the remote has been saved
beforehand.
Important notes:
• In the event that the motors move in a manner other than that described:
• Disconnect the power supply to the control unit.
• Modify the direction parameter and repeat programming.
During Automatic Programming, the remote control button (if previously
programmed) may be used instead of the control unit SET button.
Note: Automatic Programming is not possible in the absence of the
limit switches.

The control unit is factory set to allow direct selection exclusively of the main
menu functions. If you wish to enable the functions described in Extended Menu
1, proceed as follows:

7.2.1. LED L1 - PHOOTOTEST (Photocells Test):
The control unit is factory set with the photocells test disabled.
Proceed as follows if you wish to enable the function:
• Make sure you have enabled the extended Menu 1 (as shown by the
alternate ashing 1 0 1 0 1 of LEV LED);
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED L1;
• Press the SET key;
• LED L1 becomes steady on and programming will be completed.
Repeat the procedure if you wish to restore the previous conguration.
7.2.2. LED L2 - PEDESTRIAN TIME
Programming of the partial stroke of motor:
The control unit is factory set with Pedestrian opening time of 10 seconds
without any deceleration. That time can be modied and decreased or increased
up to 4 min. To set a new pedestrian time programming must be carried out with
the leaf associated in closed position as follows:
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED L2;
• Press the SET key;
• The motor starts the opening phase;
• When the desired deceleration starting point is reached press the SET key
(the leaf continues its stroke at a decelerated speed);
• Press SET key to determinate the opening end stop;
• The leaf starts to close;
• When the desired deceleration starting point is reached press the SET key
(the leaf continues its stroke at a decelerated speed);
• The second pressure of the key SET will activate the closing end stop.
If you do not require the control unit to perform the deceleration, during
programming, when the opening and closing cycle has been completed press
the SET key twice consecutively rather than just once.
During programming, instead of the SET key on the control unit you can use the
button on the remote already stored.
7.2.3. LED L3 - STEP BY STEP 1 :
Proceed as follows if you wish to enable the function “Step-by-step 1”:
• Make sure you have enabled the extended Menu 1 (as shown by the
alternate ashing 1 0 1 0 1 of LEV LED);
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED L3;
• Press the SET key;
• LED L3 becomes steady on and programming will be completed.
Repeat the procedure if you wish to restore the previous conguration.
Important Note: the Step by Step 1 function overwrites the standard operation
Step by Step logic and it can be enable only if a “Step-by-step” in enabled and
the “Pause time” period is stored.
7.2.4. LED L4 - BRAKE:
The control unit is supplied by the manufacturer with the electronic brake function
enabled. To disable this function, proceed as follows:
• Make sure you have enabled the extended Menu 1 (as shown by the
alternate ashing 1 0 1 0 1 of LEV LED);
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED L4;
• Press the SET key;
• LED L5 will turn off and programming will be completed.
Repeat the procedure if you wish to restore the previous conguration.
7.2.5. LED L5 - RELEASE STROKE (in opening phase):
The control unit is supplied by factory with the release stroke function disabled.
This function consists of sending a closing command for 2 seconds before
starting the opening stroke: in this way the release of the lock is facilitated to
allow the correct execution of the opening phase. Proceed as follows if you wish
to enable the function:
• Make sure you have enabled the extended Menu 1 (as shown by the
alternate ashing 1 0 1 0 1 of LEV LED);
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED L5;
• Press the SET key;
• LED L5 becomes steady on and programming will be completed.
If you wish to enable the function at the power level set by the FORCE trimmer,
repeat the above mention programming, by pressing SELECT twice (obtaining
fast ashing of LED L5 instead of once) and then press SET.
Repeat the procedure if you wish to restore the previous conguration.
7.2.6. LED L6 - SLAM LOCK: (in closing phase):
The control unit is supplied by factory with the Slam lock function disabled. This
function consists in adding, in the presence of a deceleration stage during closing,
a stroke lasting 1 second at the maximum power or at the power selected with
the “SPEED” trimmer, in such a way as to ensure positive engagement of the
gate lock, if installed. If you wish to enable the Slam Lock function at maximum
power, proceed as follows: make. Se si desidera abilitare la funzione di Colpo in
Chiusura alla massima potenza, procedere nel seguente modo:
• Make sure you have enabled the extended Menu 1 (as shown by the
alternate ashing 1 0 1 0 1 of LEV LED);
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED L6;
• Press the SET key;
• LED L6 becomes steady on and programming will be completed.
If you wish to enable the function at the power level set by the SPEED trimmer,
repeat the above mention programming, by pressing SELECT twice (obtaining
fast ashing of LED L6 instead of once) and then press SET.
Repeat the procedure if you wish to restore the previous conguration.
7.2.7. LED L7 - PREFLASHING / COURTESY LIGHT:
The control unit is supplied by the factory with the pre-ashing and courtesy light
functions turned off.
Pre-ashing operation: Flashing light output 24 ~ 4W max. it will always activate
3 seconds before the closing phase. Proceed as follows if you wish to enable
the function:
• Make sure you have enabled the extended Menu 1 (as shown by the
alternate ashing 1 0 1 0 1 of LEV LED);
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED L7;
• Press the SET key;
• LED L7 becomes steady on and programming will be completed.
Courtesy Light operation: The 24 V 4W max. Courtesy Light output will switch on
for 3 minutes whenever an opening command is transmitted.
If you wish to enable the Courtesy light function repeat the above mention
programming, by pressing SELECT twice (obtaining fast ashing of LED L7

7.3.1 LED L1- SOFT STOP:
The control unit is supplied by factory with the Soft Start function disabled. With
this function enabled at the end of the movement the control unit will reduce
operator force to zero gradually in a 2 second interval.
Proceed as follows if you wish to enable the function:
• Make sure you have enabled the extended Menu 2 (as shown by the
alternate ashing 1 1 0 1 1 0 of LEV LED);
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED L1;
• Press the SET key;
• LED L1 becomes steady on and programming will be completed.
Repeat the procedure if you wish to restore the previous conguration.
Notes:
- Soft-stop is not operated when a limit switch is triggered, when the Stop button
is activated and in the case of an obstacle; it is operated when movement is
inverted and when a photocell is intercepted.
7.3.2 LED L2 - SOFT START:
The control unit is supplied by factory with the Soft Start function disabled. With
this function enabled at the beginning of the movement the speed gradually
increase from the minimum to the value set by the “FORCE” trimmer during the
rst 2 seconds of operation.
Proceed as follows if you wish to enable the function:
• Make sure you have enabled the extended Menu 2 (as shown by the
alternate ashing 1 1 0 1 1 0 of LEV LED);
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED L2;
• Press the SET key;
• LED L2 becomes steady on and programming will be completed.
Repeat the procedure if you wish to restore the previous conguration.
Notes:
- do not confuse the SOFT STOP with the SLOWDOWN; the rst one is activated
after reaching the limit switch, while the second is activated before it;
- Soft-stop does not act when a stop is intercepted, when the Stop button is
activated and in the event of an obstacle; it acts when there is a reversal of
motion and when a photocell is activated.
7.3.3 LED L3 - DS1 IN OPEN:
The control unit allows the operation of input DS1 to be modied. If you want
photocells DS1 operate also during opening (momentary stopping of the gate,
as soon as the safety is freed the control unit resumes the opening movement),
proceed as follows:
• Make sure you have enabled the extended Menu 2 (as shown by the
alternate ashing 1 1 0 1 1 0 of LEV LED);
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED L3;
• Press the SET key;
• LED L3 becomes steady on and programming will be completed.
Repeat the procedure if you wish to restore the previous conguration.
CAUTION: when this function is enabled, the FOLLOW ME function
is disabled
7.3.4. LED L4 - HOLD-TO-RUN:
The control unit provides the opportunity to set the “Hold-to-run” function.
With this function enabled using either the remotes or the Pushbuttons to
operate the gate, the following operation will be obtained: the command must be
kept maintained constantly to move the gate. When the command is released,
the movement will stop immediately.
Proceed as follows if you wish to enable the function:
• Make sure you have enabled the extended Menu 2 (as shown by the
alternate ashing 1 1 0 1 1 0 of LEV LED);
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED L4;
• Press the SET key;
• LED L4 becomes steady on and programming will be completed.
Repeat the procedure if you wish to restore the previous conguration.
7.3.5 LED L5 - FOLLOW ME
The control unit allows the “Follow me” function to be congured; programmable
only if a Pause Time has already been set, this function reduces the Pause Time
to 5 seconds after freeing the DS1 photocell, meaning the gate re-closes 5
seconds after transit of the user.
Note:
-this command is programmable only if a Pause Time has already
been programmed.
-if the DS1 function is enabled in opening, FOLLOW ME is never
enabled.
Proceed as follows if you wish to enable the function:
• Make sure you have enabled the extended Menu 2 (as shown by the
alternate ashing 1 1 0 1 1 0 of LEV LED);
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED L5;
• Press the SET key;
• LED L5 becomes steady on and programming will be completed.
Repeat the procedure if you wish to restore the previous conguration.
7.3.6. LED L6 - FLASHING IN PAUSE:
The control unit is factory set with Flashing Light during Pause Time disabled. If
you wish to enable this function, proceed as follows:
• Make sure you have enabled the extended Menu 2 (as shown by the
alternate ashing 1 1 0 1 1 0 of LEV LED);
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED L6;
• Press the SET key;
• LED L6 becomes steady on and programming will be completed.
Repeat the procedure if you wish to restore the previous conguration
7.3.7 LED L7 - “ALWAYS CLOSE”:
The control unit provides the facility to set “Always Close” operation: this function,
which is programmable only if a Pause Time has already been programmed, is
activated after a power failure; if the gate open condition is conrmed a closing
movement is started automatically, preceded by 5 seconds of pre-ashing. If you
wish to enable the function, proceed as follows:
• Make sure you have enabled the extended Menu 2 (as shown by the
alternate ashing 1 1 0 1 1 0 of LEV LED);
• By the key SELECT, position yourself on the blinking LED L7;
• Press the SET key;
• LED L7 becomes steady on and programming will be completed.
Repeat the procedure if you wish to restore the previous conguration.
8 RESET
If it becomes necessary to reset the control unit to restore the factory settings,
press the SELECT and SET keys together; this will cause all the RED indicator

LEDs to light simultaneously followed immediately by the control unit switching
off.
9 DIAGNOSTICS
9.1 Photocell Test
The control unit is prearranged for connection of safety devices in compliance
with standard EN 12453 point 5.1.1.6. At each operating cycle a functional test
of the connected photocell is performed. In the case of an open circuit and/or
malfunctioning of the photocell, the control unit does not enable movement of the
gate and visually signals the test failed condition by causing all the indicator LEDs
to blink simultaneously. As soon as correct operation of the photocell is restored,
the control unit is ready for normal use. This operating mode guarantees failure
mode monitoring in compliance with EN 954-1 Category 2.
9.2 Commands input test:
In correspondence with each low voltage command input, the control unit is
equipped with an indicator LED so that the status of the input can be checked
at a glance.
Operating logic: LED on input closed, LED off input open.
10 WARRANTY
a) In business relationships or in case of products sold for professional
use, this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of product parts
that FRATELLI COMUNELLO SPA acknowledges as defective, through
equivalent re-manufactured Products (the “Conventional Warranty”); the
warranty does not include the costs necessary for repairing or replacing
the material (e.g. labour costs, rental of equipment etc).
b) The provisions contained in articles 1490 to 1495 of the Italian Civil
Code shall not apply.
c) FRATELLI COMUNELLO SPA warrants the proper operation of the
products within the limits indicated in a) above. Unless otherwise
agreed, the validity of the Conventional Warranty is 24 (twenty-four)
months from the production date, which can be found on the products.
The Warranty shall be effective and binding on COMUNELLO only if the
product has been correctly installed and maintained in accordance with
the installation and safety rules set out in the documentation provided
by COMUNELLO or otherwise available on the website http://www.
comunello.com/corporate/ general_conditions_sales/
d) The warranty does not cover: failures or damage caused by transport;
failures or damage caused by defects in the electrical system of the
buyer and/or by carelessness, negligence, inadequate or abnormal
use of such system; failure or damage due to tampering carried out
by unauthorized personnel or due to incorrect use / installation (in this
regard, system maintenance at least every six months is recommended)
or the use of non-original spare parts; defects caused by chemical
agents and/or atmospheric phenomena. The warranty does not cover
the cost of consumables; in any event, COMUNELLO shall be entitled
to a consideration for the work performed at the Customer, where such
work proves useless as the warranty did not apply or because the
customer had used the Comunello product in a negligent, reckless
or incompetent manner, such that the proper use of the product could
have avoided the work.
e) Implementation terms: unless otherwise agreed, the right to the
Conventional Warranty is exercised by showing a copy of the purchase
document (invoice) to COMUNELLO. Any defect must be notied to
COMUNELLO within the time limit of thirty (30) days from detection of
the defect.
The action must be exercised within the limitation period of 6 (six)
months from detection of the defect. The Product parts for which the
Customer requests application of the Conventional Warranty must be
returned by the Customer to FRATELLI COMUNELLO SPA, Via Cassola
64, 36027 Rosà (VI) Italy.
f) The Customer cannot claim compensation for indirect damage, loss of
prots, loss of production and in any case it cannot claim compensation
for an amount that exceeds the value of the supplied components or
products. All transport costs for Products that have been repaired or to
be repaired, although covered by the Conventional Warranty, shall be
charged to the Customer.
g) No external work carried out by Comunello technical staff is covered
by the Conventional Warranty.
h) Specic amendments to the Conventional Warranty conditions
described herein can be dened by the parties in their commercial
contracts.
i) The Court of Vicenza (Italy) shall be the place of jurisdiction for any
dispute which will be settled according to the Italian laws.
