on the purchase of your Sound
Therapy Relaxation System, a
system which provides soothing sounds
to both relax you and mask unwanted
noise. The Sound Therapy Relaxation
System features 10 of nature’s most
pleasant sounds and an optional 60
minute auto shut-off timer. Relax in
the comfort of your own home or at
the office.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE USING
The Sound Therapy Relaxation System can be
used with a cord by inserting the pin end of
the adaptor into the DC jack on the side of the
unit. Plug the adaptor into a 120V AC house-
hold outlet. The Sound Therapy Relaxation
System will also operate without the cord using
four 1.5 volt “AA” batteries (not included).
TO INSERT BATTERIES
1) Unlatch and lift off the battery compartment
door (located on the bottom of the sound
system).
2) Insert four “AA” 1.5 volt alkaline batteries, as
shown inside the battery compartment.
3) Replace the battery compartment door
and return the sound system to its
upright position.
PLEASE NOTE:
• If you will be running the Sound Therapy
Relaxation System for a long period of time,
it is recommended that you use the adap-
tor. This will preserve the life of the batter-
ies. Battery power is not consumed when the
adaptor is used.
• If you plan to run the sound system while
drifting off to sleep, it is suggested that you
use the 60-minute timer, located on the side
of the sound system, to automatically shut
the sound system off. This will preserve the
battery life.
• To prevent the sound system from acciden-
tally turning on while you are travelling,
remove the batteries before packing. The
sound system will run solely on the adaptor
if batteries are not used.
• Batteries are a good backup in case of a
power failure.
• Dispose of batteries in a proper manner,
appropriate to your Provincial/State and
local regulations.
• Be sure to remove the batteries when
storing your Sound Therapy Relaxation
System. The batteries will drain if they are
left connected when the sound system is un-
plugged. Old batteries may leak chemicals
that can badly damage the sound system.

HOW TO OPERATE THE SOUND
THERAPY RELAXATION SYSTEM
1) Plug the pin end of the adaptor into the
DC jack on the side of the Sound Therapy
Relaxation System. Insert the plug end of the
adaptor into any 120V AC household outlet
OR insert four “AA” batteries (not included)
as shown inside the battery compartment,
on the bottom of the sound system.
2) Press the ON/OFF button once to turn on
the sound system. The sound system will
generate the natural sound selected the last
time the system was used.
3) Choose one of the 10 natural sounds by
pressing the corresponding button once.
4) To turn off the Sound Therapy Relaxation
System, press and release the ON/OFF button
again. The sound that was last selected will
be remembered and it will be re-produced
automatically the next time your sound
system is turned on.
5) To adjust the speaker volume, turn the
volume control located at the front of the
sound system.
6) To activate the 60-minute timer when the
sound system is on, slide the 60-MINUTE
AUTO TIMER switch to ON. The sound sys-
tem will automatically shut off after 60 min-
utes. If the timer switch is activated again
while operating, the timer will reset itself to
another 60 minutes.
7) If the 60-minute AUTO Timer switch is
turned to OFF, the Sound Therapy System
will remain on until you turn it off. To turn
the sound system off, press the ON/OFF but-
ton once.

1) Before cleaning, unplug the Sound
Therapy Relaxation System from the
outlet (if using the adaptor) or re-
move the batteries.
2) Only clean the Sound Therapy Re-
laxation System with a soft, slightly
damp cloth. Never allow water or
any other liquid to come into contact
with the sound system.
3) DO NOT IMMERSE IN ANY LIQUID
TO CLEAN. Never use abrasive
cleaners.
4) Do not attempt to repair the Sound
Therapy Relaxation System.

When using the Sound Therapy
Relaxation System, there are basic pre-
cautions that should always be followed.
Please read all instructions before using your
new product.
DANGER–To reduce the risk of electric shock:
1) Always unplug the Sound Therapy
Relaxation System from the electrical outlet
before cleaning.
2) Take out all batteries before storing and
cleaning.
3) Do not use while bathing or while in the
shower.
4) Do not place in water, or any other type of
liquid.
5) Do not place or store the Sound Therapy
Relaxation System where it can fall, or be
pulled into a tub or sink.
WARNING–To reduce the risk of burns, fire,
electric shock, or injury:
1) Use the Sound Therapy Relaxation System
for its intended use only, as described with-
in this booklet. Do not use attachments that
are not recommended by Conair Consumer
Products Inc.
2) Never operate the Sound Therapy
Relaxation System if it has a damaged cord
or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has
been dropped or damaged, or if it has been
dropped into water, or any other liquid.
Return the Sound Therapy Relaxation
System to a Dealer for examination and
repair.
3) Do not carry the Sound Therapy Relaxation
System by the supply cord.
4) Keep the cord away from all heated
surfaces.
5) Do not operate the Sound Therapy
Relaxation System if the air openings are
blocked. Keep the air openings free of debris
such as lint, hair, and dust.
6) Do not drop or insert any objects into any
openings of the Sound Therapy Relaxation
System, with the exception of the insertion
of the proper size battery into the battery
compartment.
7) Do not operate the Sound Therapy
Relaxation System on any soft surface where
air openings may be blocked, such as a bed
or a couch.
8) To prevent fire or electrical shock hazard,
do not expose this product to rain or
moisture.
9) Do not operate where aerosol (spray)
products are used or where oxygen is
administered.
10)Do not operate under blankets or pillows.
Excessive heating can occur and cause fire,
electric shock, or injury.
11)Do not use outdoors.
12)Do not stand on the Sound Therapy
Relaxation System.
13)Close supervision is necessary when this
product is used by children or disabled
people.

WARRANTY
Conair will (at our option) repair or replace
your appliance free of charge for 12 months
from the date of purchase if the appliance is
defective in workmanship or materials. To
obtain service under this warranty, return the
defective product to the service centre listed
below, together with your sales slip and $7.50
for postage and handling. In the absence of a
purchase receipt, the warranty period will be
12 months from the date of manufacture.
