The ZoomLink+ & MLxi radio system can be a great help to a hearing aid user ‒ a
little of your time to help understand what does what will be much appreciated.
The battery status is shown
in the display and a
flat battery is shown
as an empty
battery icon.
The ZoomLink+ needs
daily charging.

PS ‒ general interest suggestion: ask your audiology contact to demonstrate what a
hearing aid sounds like and how the Phonak MLxi system helps.
There is no need to be self conscious in wearing a radio
microphone ‒ all the best TV stars do so.
The lavalier cord is also the aerial, but please note ‒ if it is
long enough to go over your head, it will sit too low to
give good sound quality to a hearing aid user. Adjust by
squeezing front pad and pulling the free end of the cord.
Microphone

about the
length of a
biro from the
mouth.
Be aware that you have a direct
sound link to MLxi users in the
room and turning off the
transmitter when you are talking
to others.

change

normally talk.

The tutor wears the ZoomLink+ radio microphone
to pick up their voice, the student wears an MLxi
radio receiver to feed sound directly into their
hearing aid. The result is a greatly improved and
relaxed listening experience for the hearing aid user.
After the lesson, if you are not returning the transmitter to the user,
remember to turn it off before going to the staff room or toilet!
The ZoomLink+ has a transmitting range of several classrooms.
Avoid
wearing
'noisy'
clinking
jewellery.
The student should
give you the
ZoomLink+
transmitter turned on
and ready to use ‒ if
you can see the
display then the unit
is on.
