IC-Net Display Controllers integrate IR and RS-232 controlled displays
through exisiting RF CATV coax wiring. The ICC1-IR controls IR-format
displays, while the ICC1-232 operates RS-232 controlled displays.
Both controllers feature an onboard, updatable control database for most
makes and models of displays. Code formats can be changed through the
display network from SignStream™ and iC-Web™ software, as well as
custom control systems. A switch array on the base of the controller can
also dene codes and set the unit’s iC-Net system address.
Intelligent power control is provided by discrete RS-232 or IR on/off
commands, as well as scan or power current sensing in the ICC1-IR. Control
options include power, HDTV/NTSC channel tuning, volume, mute, and
display inputs, as well as local/IR control lockout for the ICC1-232.
High-speed 1-way control is possible through the same RF cable that
carries the TV channels, creating networked operation of distributed media
systems without adding control wiring. Compatible with the Contemporary
Research SignStream™ and iC Commander HD software, the ICC1-232
can be networked with up to 4000 display controllers. For custom systems
applications, the ICC1-232, ICC1-IR, and other CR display controllers can
be accessed from a single RS-232 or Telnet port on an ICE-HE Ethernet
