All installation work must be carried
out by a competent person or qualied
electrician.
This appliance must be installed
correctly by a qualied person,
strictly following the manufacturer’s
instructions.
This appliance complies with all current
European safety legislation, however, the
manufacturer must emphasise that this
compliance does not prevent the surfaces of
the appliance from heating up during use and
remaining hot during its operation.
Accessible parts may become hot during
use. Young children should be kept away.
Care should be taken to avoid touching the
appliance.
The manufacturer highly recommends that this
appliance be kept out of the reach of babies
and small children.

This appliance can be used by children

capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance
in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the
appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children without
supervision.
This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical sensory, or mental capabilities, or by
those who lack experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision and
instruction concerning the use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
The appliance is for domestic use only.
Do not install the appliance outdoors in a
damp place or in an area which may be prone
to water leaks such as under or near a sink
unit. In the event of a water leak allow the
machine to dry naturally.

Make sure that the power cord is not caught
under or in the appliance and avoid damage to
the power cable.
Do not allow the power cord to touch the hot
parts of the appliance.
Regularly check the power plug and
power cord for damage. If the supply cord
is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Do not remove the plug in the presence of
ammable gas.
Do not use ammable sprays in close vicinity
to the appliance.
We also recommend that great care be taken
during use and cleaning. Read the cleaning
and maintenance sections for this appliance
carefully.
A steam cleaner is not to be used.
The appliance is not intended to be operated
by means of external timer or separated
remote-control system.

The manufacturer declines all liability for
personal or material damage as a result
of misuse or incorrect installation of this
appliance.
Keep away from heat sources and direct sun
light to prevent plastic and rubber components
from ageing.
The water inside the dishwasher is not suitable
for drinking.
Warning! Before connecting to the power
supply, check: The dishwasher must not
be connected to the electricity supply while
installation is being carried out. The mains
electricity supply must conform to the details
shown on the dishwasher nameplate. The
socket is adequate for the maximum power
of the dishwasher. The voltage meets
requirements. The socket is able to accept the
appliance plug.
This appliance is classied as protection
class I and must be connected to a protective
ground (Earth).
Check with a qualied electrician or service
representative if you are in doubt whether the
appliance is properly grounded.

Do not connect the dishwasher to the
electricity supply via an extension cable. After
the appliance has been installed, the mains
plug should still be easily accessible. During
installation, the power supply cord must not be
excessively or dangerously bent or attened.
For additional protection, we recommend the
use of a residual current device (RCD) with
a tripping current not exceeding 30 mA in
the electrical circuit supplying power to your
appliance. The installation should be done by
an experienced electrician.
Warning! Do not immerse the electrical parts
of the appliance in water or other liquids.
Never hold the appliance under running water.
Disconnect the power plug from the electrical
outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
The appliance is to be connected to the water
mains using new hose-sets. Old hose-sets
should not be reused.
The door should not be left in the open
position since this could present a tripping
hazard.

Warning! Knives and other utensils with sharp
points must be loaded in the basket with their
points down or placed in a horizontal position.
Open the door very carefully if the dishwasher
is operating, there is a risk of water squirting
out.
Do not wash plastic items unless they are
marked dishwasher safe or the equivalent.
Use only detergent and rinse additives
designed for an automatic dishwasher.
Do not tamper with controls.
The maximum permissible inlet water pressure
is 1 MPa.
The minimum permissible inlet water pressure
is 0.04 MPa.
Dispose of the packaging material correctly.

Things to check before you start
To avoid the risks that are always present when you use an electrical
appliance it is important that this appliance is installed correctly and that
you read the safety instructions carefully to avoid misuse and hazards.
Please keep this instruction booklet for future reference and pass it on to
any future owners. After unpacking the appliance please check that it is
not damaged. If in doubt, do not use the appliance but contact Customer
Services on 0344 800 1128 (UK), 0144 75261 (Ireland).
Check the package and make sure you have all of the parts listed.
Decide on the appropriate location for your product.
The specications plate is available on this appliance. This plate displays
all the necessary identication information for ordering replacement parts.
If you sell the appliance, give it away, or leave it behind when you move
house, make sure you also pass on this manual so that the new owner can
become familiar with the appliance and its safety warnings.

Water softener
The appliance is equipped with a special softener that uses a salt specically
designed to eliminate lime and minerals from the water.
Adjust the water softener according to the hardness of the water in your area.
Contact your local water authority for information on the hardness of your water
supply.
Adjusting salt consumption
The dishwasher is designed to allow for adjustment in the amount of salt
consumed based on the hardness of the water used.
1. Open the door.
2. Switching on the appliance: Press the on/off button on the control panel.
3. Press and hold the program button P for about 10 seconds. The rinse aid
indicator and salt indicator start ashing alternately. Meanwhile, the
default salt setting H4 stays constantly there.
4. Within 5seconds, press the program button P to select desired salt level.
Available settings:
H1 / H2 / H3 / H4 / H5 / H6
5. Press the on/off button to conrm the setting and switch off the appliance.

The table below is provided only for reference for adjusting salt
consumption.

Loading the salt container
Warning!
• Only use salt intended for use with dishwashers. Every other
type of salt, especially table salt, will damage the water softener.
• Add salt just before starting a wash cycle. Otherwise the lter
system, pump or other parts of the appliance may be damaged
by salty water.
1. Unscrew the salt container cap.
2. Place the plastic funnel into the salt container. Add about 1.5 kg of dishwasher
salt.
3. Fully ll the salt container with water. It is normal for a small amount of water
to come out of the salt container.
4. Carefully screw the cap back on.

Caution!
• After adding the salt, a washing program should be immediately
started. We suggest the selection of the rapid wash program.
• The salt container must only be relled when the salt indicator
on the control panel comes on. Depending on how well the salt
dissolves, the salt warning light may still be on even though the
salt container is lled.
• If there are spills of the salt, the soak or rapid program should be
run to remove the excessive salt.
Loading the rinse aid dispenser
Warning!
• Only use rinse aid intended for use with dishwashers. Every
other type of rinse aid will damage the appliance.
• Only use liquid rinse aid with this appliance.
This product makes dishes sparkle and helps them to dry without spotting.
The rinse aid dispenser is located on the inside panel of the door.
Fill the rinse aid dispenser when:
• the rinse aid indicator on the control panel lights up, or
• the rinse aid indicator on the rinse aid dispenser shows corresponding
indications.

To ll the rinse aid dispenser, proceed as below:
1. Turn the cap anti-clockwise to the "open" position and lift it out.
2. Regulating the amount of rinse aid for each cycle: Turn the dosage adjusting
arrow with a screwdriver. There are 6settings and the default setting is 4.
3. Pour in the rinse aid and make sure not to overll.
4. Insert the cap. Turn it clockwise until it locks securely.

Loading the detergent dispenser
Warning!
• Only use detergent specically intended for dishwashers. Every
other type of detergent will damage the appliance.
• Always add the detergent before starting each wash cycle
following the instructions in the "Program overview".
• Dishwasher detergent is corrosive! Keep it out of reach of
children!
1. Press the latch. The dispenser cover opens automatically.

2. Add the detergent with a spoon: Compartment A is for the main wash cycle
detergent and compartment B for the pre-wash cycle detergent.

3. Close the dispenser cover. Press the latch to let it click into place.

Tips on loading the dishwasher racks
Tips!
• Purchase table or kitchenware which are identied as
dishwasher-proof.
• Use a mild detergent that is described as "kind to dishes".
If necessary, seek further information from the detergent
manufacturers.
• Select a program with a low temperature and as short a duration
as possible.
• Do not take glass and cutlery out of the dishwasher immediately
after the program has ended.
Utensils unsuitable for the dishwasher
Utensils of limited suitability
• Some types of glasses can become dull after a large number of washes.
• Silver and aluminum parts have a tendency to discolour during washing.
• Glazed patterns may fade if machine washed frequently.
Before loading the dishwasher
• Remove larger food particles to prevent the lter from becoming clogged,
which results in reduced performance.
• Soften remnants of burnt food in pans.
• Load hollow items such as cups, glasses, pans etc. with the opening facing
downwards so that water cannot collect in the container.
• Load those curved items or the ones with recesses aslant so that water can
run off.
• Position long and/or sharp items horizontally.
• Stack all utensils securely.
• Place all utensils in the way that the spray arms can rotate freely during
washing.
