FrontPanel
1. USBport
AUSB port isprovided toconnect externalUSB memorydriveforarchivingvideo.
2. VideoDisplayChannel Selectionbuttons
Channelbutton fromCH1toCH16 istoselect video channeldisplayed onmonitor.
3. VideoDisplaymodeselectionbuttons
Therearefourkindsof video displaymodeswhichconsistsof sequentialdisplay,
QUAD, 9CH, 16CH displaymode.
FullPictureDisplaymode: Fullpicturecanbeselected bychannelselectionbutton
fromCH1toCH16.
Sequential Displaymode:
If thisbutton ispressed undergiven videodisplaymode, eachvideo displaymode
isswitched sequentially. Forexample, if thisbutton ispressedinQUADmode,
QUADpictureisswitched sequentiallyfromCH1-4, CH5-8toCH13-16.
QUADDisplaymode:
If QUADbutton ispressed, QUADpicturewillbe displayed.Wheneverthisbutton
ispressed, QUADpictureincluding CH1toCH4, CH5toCH8, CH9toCH12 and
CH13 toCh16 willbe changedinturn.
9PictureDisplaymode:
If 9picturedisplaybuttonispressedinitially, 9picturewithCH1toCH9willbe
displayed. The coming9picturewithCH8toCH16 willbedisplayedbypressing
thisbuttonone more.Wheneverthisbuttonispressed, 9pictureisswitchedinturn
from(to)CH1–CH9to(from)CH8-CH16.
16 PictureDisplaymode:
Whenever16 picturedisplaybutton ispressed, picturedisplaymode willbe
changed from16 picturedisplayto1+7displaymode, 2+8displaymode.

4. FUNCTION
The mainpicturein1+7,2+8displayof16 picturedisplaymode can be changedbythe
combinationof FUNCTIONandchannelselection button. Mainpicturecanbechanged
bychannelselectionbutton fromCH1toCH16 afterpressingFUNCTIONbutton.
5. KEY LOCK
Inorderforonlyauthorized person tooperatebuttonsinfrontpanel, thisLOCKbutton
can beutilized. If thisbutton ispressed, allofbuttonsinfront panelarenot operatedwith
yellowLOCKLED. ToreleasebuttonsLOCK,passwordwillberequested just after
pressing LOCKbutton. If correct passwordisinput, button LOCKwillbe released.
6. Archivingbutton
Whenever ARCHIVE button ispressed,archiving willbe started.
7. REC/ STOPbutton
Press REC (Redcircle) tobeginrecord. Press RECtostop recordingagain.
Thisistogglebutton.
8. REW ()
Press REWtoperformhigh speed backwardplayback. It support 2to16times
playback speed.
9. PLAYbutton(▶)and 10. STOPbutton
If PLAY (▶)ispressed, searchlistswillbedisplayedon monitor. Afterselecting one
recorded fileamong lists, playback willbe started by PLAY button. Tostop playback,
STOP buttonisused.WhileDVRisinhighspeedplayback mode likeFForREW,it
returntoplayback by PLAY button.
11. FF (▶▶)
Press FF toperformhigh speedforwardplayback. It support2to32timesplayback
speed.
12. PAUSE
Press PAUSE topauseplayback. ThisPAUSE button can be used forbackwardor
forwardmovement byone field. The direction of fieldmovement isdecided by
pressingFF orREWpreviously.
13. MENU
Press MENU button toentermenu system.
14. ESC
ESC button isusedtoreturnuppermenu and tosaveset-up parameterat the same
time.

15. DirectionbuttonandEnterButton
Direction buttonsareused tomoveLEFT,RIGHT, UPand DOWNinmenu. Theyalso
can be used toinput password. ENTERbutton isused tosaveparameter,
toselect parameterinthemenu. And alsoinplayback itisused toselect
one of listedfileforplayback aftersearching recordedfilesbyall, time,
alarm,motion, manualandsoon.

1. 16CH VideoInput: 16 channelcompositevideo inputswithBNC connectors
SincethisDVRautomaticallydetectsvideoformat (NTSCorPAL)assoonaspoweris
ON, NTSCorPALvideo sourcescan be connected inDVR. But NTSCand PALvideo
sourcesfor16CH video inputscannotbe mixed. If theyaremixed, DVRcan’not be
operated properly.
2. 2CH VideoOutput
One videooutput (UpperBNC)isused tomonitorlive, playback pictures. Theother
(lowerBNC)isusedtomonitorSPOTmonitoringwhichdisplays allof connectedvideo
channelssequentially.
3. Audioinput(upperRCA)andOutput(LowerRCA)
Unbalancedaudiosignalinput andoutput withRCAjack. Connecttheaudiosourceto
audioinput, audiooutput toyouramplifierbecausethe DVRdoesnot haveamplified
audiooutput. Aspeakerwithan amplifierwillbeneeded foraudioplayback.. Theaudio
input canbe froman amplified sourceordirectlyfromamicrophone.
4. 16CH Loop throughoutputs: 16 channelcompositevideo outputswithD-SUB
connectors. If the connectionofloop-throughvideooutputsintoanothervideo
equipmentsisrequested, 16CH Loop-Through outputscan beutilizedforit. If loop-
through video outputswillbeconnectedtoanothervideo equipments, 75 Ohm
termination switchshouldbe “OFF”. Then, anothervideo equipmentsshouldbe 75ohm
terminated.
5. 75 OhmTerminationSwitch
If you want toconnectloop-throughvideooutputsintoanothervideo equipments,
75 Ohmterminationswitchshouldbe “OFF”. Then, anothervideo equipmentsshould
be 75 ohmterminated. If loopthrough videooutputsarenot connected toanother
video equipments, it shouldbe“ON”.
If 75 Ohmterminationswitch“ON”or“OFF”ischanged,it willcausepoorvideo quality.

6. Alarm inputandrelayoutput: (16 alarminputsand 4relayoutput withNO, NC)
Tomakesecureconnectionson theAlarmConnectorStrip, press andholdthebutton
and insert thewireintheholebelowof connectorpin. Afterreleasingthe pin, pull
gentlyonthe wiretomakecertainitisconnected. Todisconnect awire, press and
holdtheconnectorpinabovethewireandpullout thewire.
16 Alarm Inputs: 1,2,3,4,…, 16,G(Ground)
You can useexternaldevicestosignaltheDVRrespondingtoevents. Mechanicalor
electricalswitchescan bewiredtotheAlarm Inputsand GND(Ground)connectors.
The thresholdvoltageis4.3Vand shouldbestableatleast 0.5secondstobedetected.
G (Ground), COM (common): G issameascommon.
Connect the ground side of the AlarminputtoG (Ground). Connect theground sideof
relayoutput toCOMconnector.
4Relayoutput:
4relayoutput withNO orNC can be sent toexternaldevice.You can select NO orNC
, according tocharacteristicof mechanicalorelectricalswitch.
7. EthernetPort: RJ45 jack
ConnectaCat5cablewithanRJ-45jack tothe DVRconnector. RemotePCviewer
softwarevianetworkenableyoutoliveviewing orsearching.
8. RS485 serial port
AnRS485 portisprovided toconnect tospeed domes.
9. PowerInput(fromAdapter)
Connect the adaptortothe DVRforDCpowersupply. (DC 12V/5A).

6)VIDEO LOSSOSD: ON/ OFF
Whenit isset asOFF,black pictureswillbe displayed inthe cameo withvideo loss.
Whenit isset asON, “VIDEO LOSS”characterwithwhitecolorwillbedisplayed inblue
screen.
7)POP-UPDISPLAY: ON/ OFF
Whenit isset asOFF,pop-upimage of camerawhichmotiondetectionoralarmtriggering
isoccurred willnot displayed.Whenit issetasON, the channel(s)whichmotionis(are)
detectedorexternalalarmis(are)triggered willbe POP-UPinmonitorduring maximum30
seconds. Incasethat motion detection oralarmevent isoccurred morethantwochannels,
POP-UPpicturewillbe appeared inmonitorturnbyturnduring 3secondsforeach
channels. Totalperiodof POP-UPdisplayis30 seconds.
8)POSITION: According tomonitor, even sameVideosignalcanbe displayed on different
position of monitorbythe deflection characteristicofit. Inthiscase, verticaland horizontal
displaypositioncanbe adjusted by“VERTICAL”and
“HORIZONTAL”of POSITION.

LEFT or RIGHT button.
2)FRAMERATE: 60, 30, 15,10, 5,1, 0.5IPS.(NTSC)
YourDVRsupport severalframeratesfrom0.5to60Image persecondsforNTSC
from0.5to50 IPS forPAL. It can be selectedusing LEFT or RIGHT button.
NOTE: whenyourDVRisinrecordingmode, someofparametersrelatedto
RECORDING can’tbechanged.
3)AUDIO: ON/ OFF
YourDVRcan select whethertorecordaudiosignalwithvideosignaltogetherornot.
It can be selectedusing LEFT or RIGHT button.
4)STOPKEY:DISABLE/ ENABLE
Incaseof manualrecording, manualrecording isstarted and stop bythe REC/ STOP
button. ThisSTOPKEY ENABLE can protect the “recordingstop” whichisnot
intended.
NOTE:WhileyourDVRisonrecordingmode, itdoesn’tsupportthesetup
relatedtotherecordingincludingrecordingquality, framerate, audio
ON/ OFF anddate/ timesetupinSYSTEMSETUP.
