General Description
The Pain Remedy Plus Wireless TENS/EMS System is a battery operated wireless pulse generator that
sends electrical impulses from a REMOTE control to a RECEIVER (round) with ELECTRODES attached to
it. Electrodes are placed on the body to stimulate the nerves at the point of pain. When this happens, the
nerves “feel” gentle electrical sensations instead of the pain.
The Wireless REMOTE controls the INTENSITY and MODE functions of the RECEIVER. The RECEIVER, with
the electrodes attached, adheres easily and firmly to the skin. The LCD display shows the mode value,
channel number, battery life, and intensity level.
Because the Pain Remedy Plus System is wireless - needing no lead wires - you must use only Pain Remedy
SNAP Electrodes. Lead wire type electrodes will not work with this wireless system.
Intended Use
To be used for the temporary relief of pain associated with sore or aching muscles of the back, arms, or legs
due to strain from exercise or normal household and work activities.
To be used for the symptomatic relief and management of chronic, intractable pain and relief of pain
associated with arthritis.

Application of Reusable Self Adhesive Electrodes
Application
1. Clean the skin area with soap and water; dry the skin area thoroughly prior to application of electrodes.
2. With RECEIVER powered on and electrode snapped into the RECEIVER, remove plastic film on the
ELECTRODE and securely place on the skin, over the pain area.
3. Save the plastic film to protect adhesive during storage.
Care and Storage
1. Between uses, store the electrodes with plastic film attached, in a sealed bag.
2. Store in a cool, dry place.
3. It may be helpful to improve adhesion of electrode over repeated applications by spreading a few
drops of cold water over the adhesive; allow to air dry on a flat surface with adhesive side up.
NOTE: O S .
NOTES:
1. Do not apply to broken skin.
2. The electrodes should be discarded when they are no longer adhering.
3. The electrodes are intended for single users only.
4. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult your clinician.

10 11
Electrodes
The placement of the electrodes is key to achieving success with TENS/EMS Therapy. Place the RECEIVER
directly over the pain area, in such a way as to direct the flow of current across the area of pain.
It is very important all users are willing to try various styles of electrode placements to find which method
best fits his or her needs. Every user responds to electrical stimulation dierently and needs may vary from
the conventional setting suggested here. If the initial results are not positive, experiment with other settings.
• Use only SNAP style electrodes with this wireless system
• Place electrodes on skin with RECEIVER directly over the area of pain
• Two of the 2” round electrodes are required for unit to work
Adverse Reactions
You may experience skin irritation and burns beneath the stimulation electrodes applied to your skin. You
may experience headache and other painful sensations during or following the application of electrical
stimulation near your eyes and to your head and face. If you experience adverse reactions, stop using the
device and consult with your physician.

12 13
Tips For Skin Care
To avoid skin irritation, especially if you have sensitive skin, follow these suggestions:
1. Wash the area of skin where you will be placing the electrodes, using mild soap and water before
applying electrodes, and after taking them o. Be sure to rinse soap o thoroughly and dry skin well.
2. Excess hair may be clipped with scissors; do not shave stimulation area.
3. Wipe the area with the skin preparation your clinician has recommended. Let this dry. Apply electrodes
as directed.
4. Never apply electrodes over irritated or broken skin.
5. When removing electrodes, always remove by pulling in the direction of hair growth.
6. Do not stretch the electrodes when placing them on the skin, “pulling stress” from excessively
stretched electrodes can cause skin problems. To prevent this, apply electrodes from the center
outward.
7. It may be helpful to rub skin lotion on electrode placement area when not wearing electrodes.
NOTE: , 1 .
