INTRODUCTION
T ank you for purc asing our CRANE Air Purifier. Eac unit as been manufactured to
ensure safety and reliability. Before using for t e first time, please read t e instructions
carefully, and keep t em for furt er reference.

injury.
1. To avoid fire and s ock azard, plug t e appliance directly into a 120V AC electrical
outlet
2. Never operate t e unit wit a damaged cord or plug. Return appliance to
manufacturer for examination, electrical or mec anical adjustment or repair.
3. Keep cord out of eavy traffic areas. To avoid fire azard NEVER put t e cord
under rugs, near eat registers, radiators, stoves, or eaters.
4. Always place t e air purifier w ere it is not easily knocked over by persons in
ouse old.
5. To protect against electrical azards DO NOT immerse in water or ot er liquids. Do
not use near water.
6. Never touc t e air purifier wit wet ands. ALWAYS plug and unplug un t w th
dry hands.
7. Do not operate t e product in any greasy environment suc as a kitc en. T is
product is not intended to filter oil or grease from air.
8. Do not use air purifier in bat rooms or ot er umid environments, near fireplaces
or in areas w ere flammable or combustible vapors or products may exist.
9. Always unplug t e power cord from electrical outlet w en t e air purifier is not in
use, before cleaning, inserting or removing parts or before moving to anot er
location.
10. NEVER run air purifier until it is fully assembled.
11. To reduce t e risk of electrical s ock, t is product as a polarized plug (one blade
is wider t an t e ot er). T is plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. Do
not alter t e plug in any way.
12. NEVER drop or insert any object into any openings.
13. Use appliance only for t e intended ouse old use as described in t is manual.
Any ot er use not recommended by t e manufacturer may cause fire, electric
s ock or injury to persons.
14. Do not use outdoors.

15. Never use t e power cord to pick up, carry, drag, pull, or lift t e air purifier. Do
not pull t e cord against or around s arp corners or edges. T is could result in
injury to t e user and/or damage t e cord.
16. Never pull on t e cord itself to unplug from power outlet.
17. ALWAYS turn unit off before unplugging.
18. Never block t e air openings, or place on soft surface, suc as a bed or sofa, as
t is could cause t e unit to tip over t us blocking t e air intake opening.
19. DO NOT place anyt ing on top of unit.
20. NEVER use detergents, gasoline, glass cleaner, paint t inner or ot er ouse old
solvents to clean any part of t e unit.
21. Always place t e unit on a smoot , flat, level surface, and away from direct
sunlig t. Keep t e cord away from eated surfaces and areas w ere it could be
walked on or tripped over. Unplug t e unit w en not in use and w enever you
clean or move t e unit.
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRICAL SHOCK, DO NOT
USE THIS AIR PURIFIER WITH ANY SOLID STATE SPEED CONTROL

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

listed below may result in electric s ock, fire or serious personal injury. T e warnings,
cautions, and instructions discussed in t is instruction manual cannot cover all possible
conditions and situations t at may occur. It must be understood by t e operator t at
common sense and caution are a factor w ic cannot be built into t is product, but must
be supplied by t e operator.

Do not let your ch ld play w th th s appl ance.

electrocution mig t be possible. T is appliance as to be operated by an adult only.
C ildren s ould be supervised to ensure t at t ey do not play wit t e air purifier.
SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS!
CAUTION: A s ort power supply cord is provided to reduce t e risk of personal injury
resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords are
available from local ardware stores and may be used if care is exercised in t eir use. If
an extension cord is required, special care and caution is necessary. Also t e cord must
be: (1) marked wit an electrical rating of 125 V and at least 13 A., 1625 W., and (2)
t e cord must be arranged so t at it will not drape over t e countertop or tabletop
w ere it can be pulled on by c ildren or tripped over accidentally.
ELECTRIC POWER
If electric circuit is overloaded wit ot er appliances, your appliances may not operate
properly. T e appliances s ould be operated on a separate electrical circuit from ot er
operating appliances.
POLARIZED PLUG
T is appliance as a polarized plug (one blade is wider t an t e
ot er). As a safety feature to reduce t e risk of electrical s ock, t is
plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If t e plug
does not fit fully in t e outlet, reverse t e plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat t is safety
feature.
SAFETY WARNING
Alt oug your appliance is easy to operate, for your safety, t e below warnings must be
followed:
1. Do not place t e appliance near a eat source.
2. Never leave t e appliance unattended w ile connected to t e electrical outlet.
3. To avoid any accidents, never cover air grilles w en t e appliance is in operation.
4. Use t e appliance on a stable surface away from water.
5. Do not unplug from t e wall socket by pulling on t e supply cord.

OPERATION AND USE
Before Use Instruct ons
1. Select a firm, level and flat surface to place t e air purifier. For proper air flow,
locate t e unit at least 3 feet from any wall or furniture.
2. Do not place unit in close proximity to electronic devices t at are sensitive to
electrical fields.
3. Do not place unit on metal s elving. Air purifier may be placed on floor,
nig tstand, table or desk. Make sure t at t e outlet grille faces away from t e
nearest wall or furniture.
4. Make sure t at t e intake and outlet grilles are not blocked.
5. Plug into a grounded 120V outlet. See manual SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
6. Turn control knob to desired setting 1, 2, 3
Operat ng Instruct ons
1. Turn control knob to desired setting.
2. Select setting 1 for quieter operation or use in t e bedroom.
3. Select setting 2 to operate t e air purifier on a continuous use.
4. Select setting 3 w en ig levels of air pollutants are present to quickly
circulate and filter t e room air.
5. T e Air Purifier Power Lig t will illuminate w en power is ON.
REPLACING THE HEPA TYPE FILTER
On an average t e HEPA TYPE Filter needs to be replaced every 3-6 mont s. Filter life
will depend on air quality and usage.
1. ALWAYS turn off and unplug air purifier from power
outlet before replacing t e filter.
2. Remove t e filters from t e unit by pulling gently toward
you.
3. To replace t e HEPA TYPE filter, discard t e old filter. DO
NOT ATTEMPT to clean t e HEPA TYPE filter. Only t e
particle filter can be was ed (see cleaning instructions).
Place t e was able particle filter back on t e new HEPA
TYPE Filter. Insert t e new HEPA TYPE filter into t e unit
by sliding it into place.
4. To close t e rear door, place bottom rear door tab into tab slot and close door.
DO NOT FORCE DOOR TO CLOSE! PLEASE NOTE t at if t ere is any uneven
closure at t e bottom of t e rear door t e door is not closed securely. You will
need to insert bottom tab again into slot and close door again. T e rear door
must be evenly flus wit t e air purifier body

MAINTENANCE
CAUTION:
Always be sure t at t e appliance is unplugged and switc ed OFF before cleaning,
removing filters or attempting to store t e item. NEVER PLUG OR UNPLUG UNIT
WITH WET HANDS.
Clean ng the Washable Part cle F lter
1. Remove t e foam particle filter by pulling out of t e unit gently.
2. Rinse t e particle filter by and wit warm water. DO NOT place in dis was er.
DO NOT use ard solvents or detergents. Warm water only.
3. Particle filter MUST be t oroug ly dry before replacing back into t e air purifier.
Clean ng the A r Pur f er
NOTE: NO PART of t e air purifier s ould be placed in t e dis was er.
1. Always unplug t e unit before cleaning.
2. Once unplugged t e exterior of t e unit may be cleaned by wiping wit a lig tly
damp clot . Caut on: DO NOT ALLOW WATER TO GET INTO THE INTAKE AND
OUTLET GRILLS. NEVER USE GASOLINE, POLISH OR ANY CHEMICAL SOLUTION TO
CLEAN AIR PURIFIER.
3. T e intake grill and outlet grill can be cleaned of dust wit a small soft brus .
4. If you wis to lig tly clean t e inside of t e air purifier, please remove filters and
ONLY use a dry, soft clot to lig tly wipe down.
STORING YOUR AIR PURIFIER
Store t e appliance in a dry location. Do not place any eavy items on top of appliance
during storage as t is may result in possible damage of t e appliance. Store t e cord in
a clean, dry location away from metal objects. Always c eck t e plug before use to
assure metal items ave not become attac ed.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
CAUTION: DO NOT attempt to serv ce the a r pur f er yourself. If the a r
pur f er cont nues to not operate please call our serv ce center (see toll free
number).
Problem Solut on
T e air purifier does not operate. Make sure t e air purifier control knob
is at 1, 2, or 3.
Make sure t e power cord is plugged
into power outlet.

and meets our stringent quality standards. T is product is warranted to be free
from manufacturing defects under normal use and conditions for 1 year.
In case you find t is product to ave a manufacturing defect please proceed as
follows:
A. Wit in 90 days of purc ase: return t e product to your retailer for a
replacement or a refund.
B. After 90 days and wit in t e warranty period: send t e product and all of it’s
accessories to our service center. T e consumer will be responsible for all
s ipping costs to t e Crane Service Center. Crane will not assume
responsibility for loss or damages to t e product being returned to us. To
avoid transport damages carefully package t e product and insure it wit t e
carrier. Be sure to fill out t e warranty card and include it wit a copy of t e
dated sales receipt. In return you will receive your repaired item, or a new
product at t e service center’s discretion.
WARRANTY IS ONLY VALID WITH A DATED PROOF OF PURCHASE.
T e warranty is void if t e defect is due to accidental damage, misuse, abuse,
neglect, improper repair or alteration by unaut orized persons or failure to follow
operation instructions provided wit t e product. T is warranty does not apply to
normal wear and tear, as well as commercial use.
T e warranty is non-transferable and applies only to t e original purc ase and
does not extend to subsequent owners of t e product. Liability under t is
warranty is limited to repair, or replacement. In no event s all liability exceed t e
