IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTR CTIONS
Thank you for purchasing a CRANE air purifier. Each unit has been manufactured to
ensure safety and reliability. Before using for the first time, please read the instructions
carefully and keep them for further reference.
WARNING!
READ AND SAVE THESE INSTR CTIONS. Failure to follow all of
the instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal
injury.
1. To avoid fire and shock hazard, plug the appliance directly into a 120V AC electrical
outlet.
2. Never operate the unit with a damaged cord or plug. Return appliance to
manufacturer for examination and replacement.
3. Keep cord out of heavy traffic areas. To avoid fire hazard, NEVER put the cord
under rugs, or near heat registers, radiators, stoves, or heaters.
4. Always place the air purifier where it is not easily knocked over by persons in
household.
5. Never touch the air purifier with wet hands. ALWAYS plug and unplug unit
with dry hands.
6. Do not operate the product in any greasy environment such as a kitchen. This
product is not intended to filter oil or grease from air.
7. Do not use air purifier in bathrooms or other humid environments, near fireplaces
or in areas where flammable or combustible vapors or products may exist.
8. Always unplug the power cord from electrical outlet when the air purifier is not in
use, before cleaning, inserting or removing parts or before moving to another
location.
9. NEVER run air purifier until it is fully assembled.
10. NEVER drop or insert any object into any openings.
11. Use appliance only for the intended household use as described in this manual. Do
not use outdoors.
12. Never use the power cord to pick up, carry, drag, pull, or lift the air purifier. Do
not pull the cord against or around sharp corners or edges. This could result in
injury to the user and/or damage the cord.
13. Never pull on the cord itself to unplug from power outlet.
14. ALWAYS turn unit off before unplugging.
15. Never block the air openings, or place on soft surface, such as a bed or sofa, as
this could cause the unit to tip over thus blocking the air intake opening.
16. D N T place anything on top of unit.
17. NEVER use detergents, gasoline, glass cleaner, paint thinner or other household
solvents to clean any part of the unit.
18. Always place the unit on a smooth, flat, level surface, and away from direct
sunlight. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces and areas where it could be
walked on or tripped over. Unplug the unit when not in use and whenever you
clean or move the unit.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTR CTIONS
WARNING!
Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions
listed below may result in electric shock, fire or serious personal injury. The warnings,
cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible
conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the user that
common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be built into this product, but must
be supplied by the user.
THIS AIR P RIFIER IS NOT A TOY!
Do not let your child play with this air purifier.
Serious injury and
electrocution might be possible. This air purifier has to be operated by an adult only.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the air purifier.
SAVE ALL INSTR CTIONS!
Candles, gas heater and other oil-burning products create soot. This soot can
be distributed thought ventilation system and cause a sudden overload of soot
build up on and around your air purifier. For better air quality and less
frequent cleaning, avoid burning candles indoors and have gas appliances
checked on a regular basis.
The collection grid has many edges and areas that can trap water. If running
water is used to clean the grid, allow the collecting grid to dry completely.
The air purifier complies with current S safety requirement for low ozone
emissions for consumer products. We recommend that individuals with history
of respiratory disease consult with their doctor about possible heightened
sensitivity to very low ozone.
ELECTRIC POWER
If the electric circuit is overloaded by other appliances, your air purifier and/or
appliances may not operate properly. The air purifier should be operated on a separate
electrical circuit from other operating appliances.
SAFETY WARNING
Although your air purifier is easy to operate, for your safety, the below warnings must
be followed:
1. Do not place the appliance near a heat source.
2. Never leave the appliance unattended while connected to the electrical outlet.
3. To avoid any accidents, never cover air grilles when the appliance is in operation.
4. Use the appliance on a stable surface away from water.
5. Do not unplug from the wall socket by pulling on the supply cord.
6. The appliance must be unplugged:
A. Before any cleaning or maintenance
B. After use
C. If it appears to be faulty

OPERATION AND SE
NOTE: Always carry this air purifier with two hands. The filter top
is not a handle.
Before First se
1. Select a firm, level and flat surface to place the air purifier. For proper air flow,
locate the unit at least 3 feet from any wall or furniture.
2. Do not place unit in close proximity to electronic devices that are sensitive to
electrical fields.
3. Do not place unit on metal shelving. Air purifier may be placed on floor,
nightstand, table or desk. Make sure that the outlet grill faces away from the
nearest wall or furniture.
4. Make sure that the intake and outlet grills are not blocked.
5.
Plug into a grounded 120V outlet.
Features
Operating Instructions
1. Press power button to turn on the unit. If the unit is powered up the first time,
it will turn on at the lowest power level (Silent Mode). therwise it will turn on
to the previous power level before it was turned off. Crackling sound coming
from the unit in the first few minutes of power is normal.
2. Press the power level button repeatedly to cycle through power levels: silent,
low, medium and high. The indicators will light up or turn off respectively. Use
low power for small rooms below 150 sq. ft. Use higher power for larger rooms or
rooms with lots of circulation.
3. Press the boost button to start the turbo mode which boosts the power level
for 20 minutes after which the unit will resume its previous power level. Use this
mode for situations which require high power cleaning for a short period of time.
Press this button again anytime to end the Turbo mode and resume the previous
level.

NOTE: To activate Silent Mode press power level button until all power level indicator
lights are off. This will switch off fans but unit will continue to filter at reduced air flow
rate due to electrostatic charged collection array.
MAINTENANCE
CA TION:
Always be sure that the appliance is unplugged and switched FF before cleaning,
removing filters or attempting to store the item. NEVER PL G OR NPL G NIT
WITH WET HANDS.
Cleaning and Maintenance
1. The dust collection array traps the smoke and air-borne particles effectively and
should be checked and cleaned frequently. If it has not been checked for two
weeks, the indicator will light up to prompt the user to clean. To keep the unit
at its optimal performance, please clean it periodically. If the array is too dirty,
the unit will shut down automatically and flash the indicator for a warning.
2. To remove the collection array, slide down the latch button while gripping
the handle and pulling out the array. Wet array with a household cleaner and
brush its collector plates with the provided cleaning tool. Then rinse it under
warm running water. It is normal that the collection plates get tarnished after
operating for some time. The tarnish will not affect the effectiveness of the unit.
Dry the array thoroughly before inserting it back into the unit. If the array is still
wet, the unit detects the moisture and will run a fan-only drying cycle for two
hours before energizing the electrostatic filtering. The Indicator will light up
during the drying cycle.

Note: To avoid static discharge, do not touch any metal part of the collector
grid when handling it. The discharge is not harmful but is unpleasant. To
minimize the chance of static discharge, power down the unit and wait 30
seconds before handling the collector grid.
3. Use a moistened cloth to clean the outside of the unit.
4. The front and back grill can be unlatched and removed from the unit. Care
should be taken to not damage the ionization emitters. Periodically, use a
moistened cloth to clean the ionization emitters. Beware not to break the emitter
wires. NEVER USE S AP R DETERGENT; NLY USE WATER.
NOTE: Brush the collection grid by using the cleaning brush included with the unit. You
can use this cleaning brush under running water.
It is also important to clean the bottom part of the collection array and rinse with water.
STORING YO R AIR P RIFIER
Store the appliance in a dry location. Do not place any heavy items on top of appliance
during storage as this may result in possible damage of the appliance. Store the cord in
a clean, dry location away from metal objects. Always check the plug before use to
assure metal items have not become attached.
Press to unlatch and remove the grill.
Beware not to break the emitter wires.
Wipe the circular part cleaning
periodically with the cloth or tissue
paper moistened with water or alcohol.
Brush the
collection grid
using the cleaning
tool. This can be
done under
running water.
t is also important to clean the bottom
part of the collector array and rinse
thoroughly with water.

TRO BLE SHOOTING
DO NOT attempt to repair the air purifier yourself. If the air purifier continues
to not operate please contact Crane Customer Care: 888-599-0992 or
customer-service@crane-usa.com.
Problem
Solution
If the air purifier does not operate:
Ensure that the AC Adapter is fully
inserted into the AC outlet and the plug
is connected on the DC jack of the air
purifier.
Press the Power Button to observe that
it lights up.
Make sure the intake grill rear door is
locked into place. Ensure that the
bottom tab is engaged in slot before
you shut the grill. There is an
automatic safety shut off switch if the
intake grill door is not shut completely.
If the above solutions do not work
please contact Crane Customer Care.
If the air purifier is not operating and the
indicator is flashing:
Check the collection array for dirt or
any clotting of hairs and fibers.
Clean the collection array as needed
and install back into the air purifier.
