3 - USB-LED
This LED is lit when Noah is connected
to a computer using the USB port.

Displays the menu options and various
system settings.

1 -Volume / Phones
This rotary control changes the volume
of the headphones connected via the
associated 6.35 mm jack. The other
outputsremainactive when headphones
areconnected.
You can also use this control to preview
sounds without a connected MIDI-
keyboard.

2 - MIDI-LED
This LED flashes when the unit is
receivingMIDI data.
5 - Continuous Controllers
UsethefourContinuousControllersbelow
the display to access the parameters
shown in the lower display line. Usually,
each of the four Continuous Controllers
is assigned to one of the displayed
parameters.
Pressing/Pushingany of the Continuous
Controller (Push Function) will open the
corresponding menus or reset the
assigned parameters to a default value.
Press the
Control Button (9) to switch to
Control Mode. Now you can use the
Continuous Controllers as Performance
Controllers to manipulate selected
parametersinrealtime.

6 - Plus / Minus Buttons
Pressing these two buttons lets you load
the next or the previous preset or adjust
the value of a selected parameter up or
down one step at a time.

7 - Up / Down / Right / Left Buttons
Usethesebuttonstonavigatethe menus,
inotherwords:tobrowsemenusorselect
parameters. If there are more than two
menu lines, use the
Up / Down buttons to
changetothenextlineinthedisplay or to
move back to the previous line.

8 - Enter Button
In various menus – e.g. when writing
presets –the
Enter button is used to
confirm the entry of a value or a request.
You can also use it to open sub-menus.
9 - Control Button
Press the
Control Button (9) to switch to
Control Mode. Now you can use the
Continuous Controllers as Performance
Controllers to manipulate selected
parameters”live”.
When
Control Mode is active, the LED
above the button is lit (red).

10 - Exit Button
Use the Exit button to abort an action, or
to move back up through the menu
system.

11 - ControlWheel
This control changes the value of a
selectedparameterand/or preset.
The Control Wheel can also be used to
select alphanumerical characters when
namingfiles, e.g. presets.

12 - Compact Flash Slot
Acceptsastandard memorycardin the
CompactFlashformatonwhichyoucan
store preset data.

13 - Mode Button

14 - System Button
Provides access to the
System menu.
In this menu you will find parameters
for the global configuration of Noah as
well as for MIDI Echo, MIDI Clock and

15 - Utility
Use this button to open a menu with
various functions e.g. for managing
presets.

16 - Edit Button
Puts the unit into Edit mode.When
Edit
Modeisactive, the LEDbelowthe button
is lit.

17 - External Button
Inseveralmenus,youcanusethisbutton
to route Read/Write functions to the
Compact Flash Card.When this Routing
is active, the LED below the button is lit
(red).
18 - FX Bypass Button
Pressing the
FX Bypass Button (18)
temporarily mutes effects. Keeping the
button pressed will open a menu where
you can specify in more detail which
effects will be muted or not when the FX
Bypass Button (18) is pressed.
When Bypass is active, the LED below
the button is lit (red).

19 - Compare Button
Lets you toggle between the current and
the previously stored settings of the
selectedpreset.

Opens the menu pages for storing
presets.

21 - Power Button
PressthebuttontoswitchtheNoahunit
on or off. To start up Noah, press the
button once briefly. Keeping the button
pressed for a few seconds will switch
offthe unit.
Even when switched off, Noah
consumes a certain, low amount of
power (standby mode). For transport
purposes or if you want to switch off the
unit for a longer time, you must use the
Main Power Switch (1) on the back.

1 - Main Power Switch
This is the main power switch. Use it to
switchtheNoahunitoffifyouarenotusing
Noah for a longer time or for transport
purposes.
2 - USB Port
Usethe USB port to connecta computer
fromwhichyoucanconfigureNoaheasily
and conveniently.The USB port can also
transmitaUSB audio signalbetween the
computerandNoah.
3 -Word Clock Input
Connect a word clock signal from an
externaldeviceto this BNC terminal.
4 - ADAT Output
Usethisoptical outputto transmit 8inde-
pendent audio channels digitally to an
external device with a compatible ADAT
input.
5 - Footswitch
Currently,thefootswitchisnotsupported.
6 MIDI In / Out /Thru
These jacks connect Noah to a MIDI
keyboard, sequencer, or one other MIDI
device. Noah receives MIDI data at the
MIDI In jack and transmits data through
MIDI Out. The incoming MIDI data is
passed through to the Thru jack for
transmission to other MIDI devices.
7 - Gain Switch
Switches the analog input sensitivity
between-10dB(Low) and -24dB(High).
8 - Analog In Left / Right
Use these 6.35mm jacks to connect
external audio eignals for processing by
Noah.
9 - Analog Out Left / Right
The analog outs connect Noah to your
audioamplifier or monitoring system.
