Overview
The CAEN-UMP1X2-DIN-PWS mounting kit provides a simple solution for installing a DIN-AP4 4-
Series™ control system (sold separately) and DIN-HUB Cresnet Distribution Hub (sold
separately) to a CAEN,CAEN-MLO, or CAENIB automation enclosure (sold separately). The
CAEN-UMP1X2 mounting plate is equipped with a DIN rail and a DIN-PWS30-277 30W Cresnet®
power supply. The CAEN-UMP1X2-DIN-PWS also includes DIN rail end clamps, screws, and
cables for connecting the DINproducts.

Installation
The CAEN-UMP1X2-DIN-PWS mounting kit is comprised of a CAEN-UMP1X2 mounting plate
with a preinstalled DIN rail and DIN-PWS30-277 power supply. The following sections discuss
how to connect a DIN-HUB and DIN-AP4 (both sold separately).
NOTE: Before installing DIN products, use a small flat-head screwdriver to loosen the end
clamp screw, then remove the end clamp. Once all connections have been made, reattach
the end clamp and retighten the screw. Refer to step 2 of Install the DIN-AP4 on page10.

Install the DIN-HUB
The DIN-HUB is not included with the CAEN-UMP1X2-DIN-PWS.
Included equipment to prepare the DIN-HUB:
lThree 3-pin terminal blocks (included with the DIN-HUB)
lEight 4-pin terminal blocks (included with the DIN-HUB)
lThree jumper wires (included with the CAEN-UMP1X2-DIN-PWS)
To install the DIN-HUB:
1. Connect the three 3-pin terminal blocks.
2. Insert the jumper wires into the 3-pin terminal blocks. Ensure the wires are fully inserted in
the terminals.
3. Use a small flat-head screwdriver to secure the wires by tightening the screws on the
terminal block. Tighten to 2in.-lbs (0.25nm).
4. Use a small flat-head screwdriver to remove the end clamp from the
CAEN-UMP1X2-DIN-PWS.

5. Attach the DIN-HUB to the DIN rail next to the DIN-PWS30-277. Refer to the DIN-HUB
Installation guide for details.
6. Connect the remaining terminal blocks or save them for future use.
Install the DIN-AP4
The DIN-AP4 is not included with the CAEN-UMP1X2-DIN-PWS. Included equipment with the
DIN-AP4:
