SECTION 1. INTRODUCTION
MILLENIUM for AIRMIL'S with screw compressor is an automated MILLENIUM M3 in which a program has been
implemented to guaranty proper operation of air units required for applications using 2 screw compressors.
SECTION 2. WORKING PRINCIPLE
The 2 compressors start up in sequence according to 2 different pressure limits : mot.1 and mot.2.
They all stop at the same limit : Stop.
The user can configure the limits for mot.1 and for Stop.
The default values are :
Stop = 8.5 bar (10 bar version) or 11.5 bar (13 bar version).
Mot.1 = 7.5 bar (10 bar version) or 10 bar (13 bar version).
The limit for mot.2 is calculated using the value for mot.1 as follows :
Mot.2 = mot.1 – 0.5 bar = 7 bar factory setting for 10 bar version,
= 9.5 bar factory setting for 13 bar version.
The motors start-up order is changed each time the motors stop in order to balance out the hours of operation equally
between the motors.
Regulation mode is "FLEXO" : when the pressure reaches the pressure of the first compressor, the priority compressor
starts up and is constrained to work throughout the "flexo" period.
2.1. During this "FLEXO" period :
The compressor is still operating, whatever the pressure of C1A sensor. The pressure can exceed the stop limit. If the
pressure of the compressor reaches the load value, the compressor discharge system is enabled in order not to go
over the maxi. pressure of the compressor, then at the load pressure, the discharge system is disabled again and the
pressure starts rising again, and so on an so forth...
2.2. When the "FLEXO" period has elapsed :
Two situations are possible, as follows :
a) The pressure at C1A level is up to the stop limit :
The compressor is stopped according to its own procedure and an order is given to the air dryer to complete
its cycle.
b) The pressure at C1A level is down the stop limit :
When C1A reaches the stop limit, the compressor is stopped according to its own procedure and an order is
given to the air dryer to complete its cycle.

SECTION 3. DISPLAY - BUTTONS
First line : regulation pressure in bar,
Second line : network pressure in bar,
Third line : motors operating,
Fourth line : limits, hour meters, program number and alarms.
3.1. Management of parameters
By pressing the button several times, the fourth line will display successively :
STOP 0008.5 : Compressors' stop thresholds.
This threshold can be set between 8.5 and 10 bar (for 10 bar version) or between 11.5 and
13 bar (for 13 bar version).
HYSTERESIS 0003.0 : Hysteresis between the Stop limit and the priority motor threshold (mot.1).
MOTOR 2 0005.0 : Secondary compressor trigger threshold.
This limit is automatically modified by the Motor 1.
Motor 2 = Motor 1 – 0.5 bar.
L.Net Al 6b : Low network alarm at 6 bar (not adjustable)
H.Net Al 11b : High network alarm at 11 bar (not adjustable)
FLEXO 10 min : "FLEXO" period : 10 minutes (not adjustable)
H M A 00000 : Hour meter compressor A.
H M B 00000 : Hour meter compressor B.
M 3030 V3 : Program Number, where V3 is the version (here V3 indicates version 3).

To change value of parameters press the button. Increase or decrease the value by the or button.
To valid, press the button.
If the button is not activated during 2 minutes, the fourth line will automatically turn blank.
3.2. Management of alarms
" ** ALARM ** " will appear flashing on the fourth line of the display if an alarm is detected.
By pressing the button successively, the fourth line will show the different alarms present on the system :
Compressors ALARM :
Mot. A FAULT : Problem on the compressor A
or Press B : If this alarm is not active.
Mot. B FAULT : Problem on the compressor B
or Press B : If this alarm is not active.
Low network ALARM
LOW NET.AL : The network pressure (option) has reached its alarm threshold : 6 bar
This alarm is acknowledge via a hysteresis of 0.5 bar (at 6.5 bar).
or Press B : If this alarm is not active.
High network ALARM
HIGH NET.AL : The network pressure (option) has reached its alarm threshold : 11 bar
This alarm is acknowledge via a hysteresis of 0.5 bar (at 10.5 bar).
or Press B : If this alarm is not active.
If the button is not pressed during 2 minutes, the fourth line will automatically go blank.
A dry contact alarm synthesis is present, which is reversed when one of the alarms is present.
