3 Operation
7.1 Power On/Off
Press and hold the Power button for 1 second to turn the display on or off. The display
will automatically shut down when there are no buttons are pressed and the bike is not
being ridden after a set number of minutes (which can be adjusted from 1 –9 minutes).
7.2 Assistance levels
Briefly press either the UP or DOWN buttons to change the assistance levels. Top
assistance level is 9, use 0 for no assistance. Assistance levels can be adjusted
according to your requirements via a PC programming kit.

7.3 Speed mode switch & mileage mode switch
Briefly press the POWER button to change the speed mode and the mileage mode,
Speed->AVG Speed->MAX Speed->Trip->ODO-> Time.

*If there is no operation for 5 seconds, the display will return to the speed (Real-Time) display
automatically.
7.4 Headlight/backlight On/Off
Press and hold the UP button for 1 second to turn on/off the headlight/backlight.
When the battery voltage gets too low, the motor is disabled to prevent the battery from being
damaged. However, the headlight will continue to operate for a period of time to enable you to cycle
home safely without motor assistance.
7.5 6km walk
Press and hold the DOWN button for 1 second to access the walking mode.

7.6Data cleanup
Press and hold the UP and DOWN buttons together for 1 second to reset the trip data
including average speed, maximum speed and time.
4 Settings menu
Double press the POWER button to access the settings menu. Briefly press the UP/DOWN
buttons to change the settings value, briefly press the POWER button to switch to the next
setting. Double press the POWER button to exit the settings menu. The display will
automatically exit the settings menu when there is no operation for 10 seconds.
The order of settings is as follows.
4.1 Kilometer / Mile : Settings option S7, press the UP/DOWN button to change from
km/h to MPH (Km / Mile)

4.2 .Backlight brightness: Settings option bL1, press the UP/DOWN button display
symbol 1~5 to changes the brightness of the backlight.
4.3 Auto off time: Settings option OFF, press the UP/DOWN button to change the
value from1to 9(minutes). This is the time before the screen powers down when not in
use. The default value is 5 minutes.
4.4 Wheel diameter: Settings option Wd, press the UP/DOWN button to change the
wheel size settings (in inches) 16/18/20/22/24/26/700C/28/29. Having too large or
small size will cause you speed display to be inaccurate. If in doubt, wheel sizes are
usually embossed on the side of your tire.
4.5 .Voltage set: Settings option bU0, press the UP/DOWN button to select -
24V/36V/UbE. Please note UbE means user-defined voltage setting, this value can be
set through the USB PC interface.

4.6 Password/Speed limit set: Settings option PSd, you need to enter a 4 digit PIN to
enter this menu –press the UP/DOWN buttons to change the password values (0~9),
briefly press the POWER button to switch to the next number. The default password is
"1919". Press the POWER button when the correct password is entered. The display
will return to the Voltage set item if the password is incorrect. The correct password will
enter the Speed limit set menu item.
4.7 Speed limit set: Settings option SPL, by default this is set to the UK legal setting
of 25km/h. Press the UP/DOWN buttons to modify the value, it can be set from 10 to
45km/h. Press the POWER button to confirm when you have finished adjusting.
NOTE: The UK legal maximum speed for electric assistance is 25KPH or 15.5MPH.
Setting this value higher than this will make your bike illegal to use on public
roads.
The maximum speed is often beyond the ability of the motor to reach –just setting a value of
45kmph does not mean that you can actually reach 45kph.

5 Error Code definitions
When the LCD displays the icon, an error code will be displayed in the speed area of
the display. The table below defines the error codes:

Clamps suit 3 sizes of handlebar, 31.8mm, 25.4mm, 22.2mm, there are transfer rings for
25.4mm and 22.2mm, transfer ring must be assembled with the special directions, pay
attention to the green arrow below.
7 Output wire instructions
1、Red wire: Anode(24v/36v)
2、Blue wire: Power cord to the controller
3、Black wire: GND
4、Green wire: RxD (controller -> display)
5、Yellow wire: TxD (display -> controller)
