1. Introduction
The CETH-4 HDMI Ethernet/USB to 4 Port HDMI Converter is a networked HDMI
system that allows you to display PC/ Laptop content on up to four HDMI
displays and features three operation modes: A LAN Mode, a USB Mode and
an Extender Mode. The LAN Mode is useful for ofces with existing networks,
as the CETH-4 HDMI allows any user who is connected to the LAN (Local Area
Network) to access the four HDMI displays. The USB Mode lets a user with a PC
or Laptop to display media on any of the four displays through one USB Cable.
Lastly, the Extender Mode is a convenient option in any integration / installation
setup by giving users the ability to extend the operating distance of a signal
by up to 100 meters, over a single RJ45 cable. Also including a switch that lets
you select either mini USB or Ethernet input, the CETH-4 HDMI lets you show the
same content on each output, different content on each output or you can
extend an image to cover all four HDMI displays. Supporting an HD resolution
up to 1920 x 1080 for each output, the CETH-4 HDMI Ethernet/USB to 4 Port HDMI
Converter is a great way to share PC content within an ofce network.

7. Operation Controls and Functions
7.1FrontPanel

① Power Switch: Turn the system ON/OFF.
2. HDMI output enable and LED indicators: Press the HDMI output enable
button to enable/disable the corresponding HDMI output ports. When
enable the corresponding HDMI output port the BLUE LED will illuminate,
when disable the HDMI output the BLUE LED will not illuminate.

①. EDID Control switch: Each EDID control switch is determined if you are
going to use the EDID from the display or use an onboard EDID. When
select to TV, the EDID will attach to output TV. When selected to INT, the
EDID will become onboard EDID and the factory default setting is in TV
mode.
2. HDMI output: Connect each of the output ports to the HDMI display. The
system can let you show the same content on each HDMI output,
different content on each HDMI output or you can extend an image
to cover all four HDMI displays. For more detail please check section 9
(Using DisplayLink Manager) for mirror or video extension settings.
3. Audio in: This slot is to insert the audio through the PC 3.5 phone jack.
When the audio is inserted, the HDMI output ports will support audio at
the same time.
4. Mini USB IN: this port support mirror or video extension (via USB cable) to
your HDMI displays.
5. Input USB/RJ45 switch: this switch allows users to choose input source
signal from USB or RJ45.
6. RJ45 IN: This slot is to connect with CAT5e/6 cable from your network system
or PC/Laptop.
7. DC 5V: This slot is where you plug the 5V DC power supply into the unit and
connect the adaptor to an AC wall outlet.

8. Software Installation
The following sections list the procedures to follow when installing the USB to
HDMI and USB device drivers. Insert the provided CD into your CD-ROM drive,
then begin the USB Install Disc and follow the below steps to install the driver.
8.1InstallDisplayLinkSoftware
Select the preferred language and click automatically check for updates,
and then click “I Accept” to install the DisplayLink Manager
9. Using DisplayLink Manager
9.1 UsingDisplayLinkManager
After the driver is installed, a utility (DisplayLink Manager) will
automatically appear in the system tray. The utility allows you to quickly
change the settings and resolution for DisplayLink Manager. Right click
on the icon will bring out the context menu.

ScreenResolution:Select the screen resolution (available only in
extended mode).
NOTE: When the display has a built in EDID the screen will show the
displays resolution, if no EDID is present the screen has the
following resolution (see below image)
ColorQuality: Select the screen color quality (available only in
extended mode).
ScreenRotation:Rotate the screen on the additional monitor by 90, 180
or 270 degrees.

Extendto: Reposition the extended screen to the top, bottom, left or
right of the primary display.
Extend: Set the DisplayLink Manager to Extended mode.
SetasMainMonitor:Set the monitor to be the main monitor.

NotebookMonitoroff:Set the PC/notebook's monitor off.
Mirror: Set the DisplayLink Manager to Mirror mode. You can see the
same desktop image on the additional monitor.
Off:Disable the DisplayLink Manager on the system.

Advanced:Opening the DisplayProperties will allow you to adjust the
resolution, color quality, position and refresh rate.
9.2 UsingMoreDisplayLinkmanager
You don’t have to install a new driver as long as you have completed
the above installation process in advance. It will automatically dene
the ID of the new Display Link Manager and will list everything in the
Display properties or the display manager menu.
NOTE:When connecting more DisplayLink Manager to a computer, a
system with higher CPU performance is recommended.
