Mains power
In regular use mains power can be le connected
permanently.
When unaended for a long period (holidays etc) mains
power should be disconnected.
Standby/Status indicaon
When mains power is connected, the Standby/Status
indicator will inially ash to show the rmware version
(refer to the ‘Firmware’ secon of this user guide for more
informaon), then light red as standby is set.
When a connected product switches on the Standby/Status
indicator will change to the colour of the connected Cyrus
product. This conrms that power is now being supplied
from the PSU-XR.
NOTE: If the PSU-XR remains in Standby then a rmware
update may be required for the connected Cyrus product.
Refer to the ‘Support’ pages of the Cyrus website www.
cyrusaudio.com to determine whether an update is
required.

Cyrus PSU-XR User Instrucons
Firmware
From me to me there may be a requirement to check
the rmware version installed in the PSU-XR. This may be
necessary to ensure compability with connected Cyrus
products or to assist with technical or service quesons.
Checking the version from the PSU-XR
The PSU-XR rmware version is displayed as a code on
the Standby/Status indicator when mains power is rst
connected. The version is read as follows -
• Connect mains power.
Aer a short delay the Standby/Status LED will indicate
the rmware version with a sequence of red ashes (the
rst digit) followed by a sequence of green ashes (the
second digit). The absence of green ashes indicates the
second digit is 0.
The sequence ends with the Standby/Status indicator
lighng red connuously to indicate standby mode is
now set.
For example -
1 x red ash followed by 2 x green ashes followed by
connuous red (standby) indicates V1.2.
2 x red ashes followed by connuous red (standby)
indicates V2.0.
Checking the version from a connected Cyrus product
The PSU-XR rmware version may also be read directly
from any connected Cyrus product which has a front panel
display screen.
• Open the sengs menu of the connected Cyrus
product.
• Select the PSU-XR menu opon.
Firmware and hardware version informaon will be
displayed for the PSU-XR.
Updang the rmware
If an updated rmware version is available, this may add
new features, further enhance compability with the Cyrus
range or x operaonal issues.
If new rmware is available from the ‘Support’ pages of the
Cyrus website www.cyrusaudio.com, this will be packaged
with other documents including -
• Firmware version change log.
• Latest rmware update procedure.
• Revised handbook (if required).
NOTE: Updates to the PSU-XR rmware may also require
a rmware update to be made to the connected Cyrus
product. When updang the rmware in a PSU-XR always
check if there is an update available for the connected
Cyrus product at the same me and update if necessary.

Standby/Status indicator lights blue
This indicates that an error has been idened within
the PSU-XR. A PSU-XR error message will also be
displayed on connected Cyrus products which have a
front panel display screen.
The PSU-XR may
have overheated.
If the PSU-XR is very hot to touch,
