Before using the blender for the rst time
Assembling the blender

Note: Always remove the jug when adding liquid to prevent
spillages onto the base unit. It is recommended to ll the jug
(food and liquid) to no more than 1/3 - 2/3 of the amount of the
jug’s capacity. Do not exceed the maximum capacity of the jug
(1000ml) on the jug. When blending large quantities to max level,
it is advised to place one hand on top of the lid this will prevent
the lid from popping out due to excessive pressure.
• To prepare for blending,
cut the food into chunks
approximately 15mm square
and place them into the Jug
(3), add the required amount
of liquid using the measuring
scale on the jug. Place the Lid
(2) onto the Jug (3).
• Make sure the speed dial is in
the ‘0’ position and insert the
mains plug into the socket.
Using the blender
• To start blending, turn
the speed dial to the
desired setting between 1
and 5. The speed can be
changed at any time during
blending. If you wish to add
more ingredients, switch
the dial to ‘0’ and turn the
measuring cup (1)
anti-clockwise and remove it.
Add the ingredients through
the hole in the lid and replace
the measuring cup (1) Do not operate for more than 30
seconds and allow the blender to rest for 1 minute between
cylces. Repeat until the desired results are reached, to nish

blending turn the dial to ‘0’.
• Once the ingredients are blended, return the speed dial to ‘0’
and remove the mains plug. Hold the motor housing, grasp
the jug handle and lift upwards off the base, remove the lid
and pour out the contents.
Note: Do not allow the blender to work with thick mixtures or
heavy foods which will not let the motor run freely. If the motor
does not run freely, stop the blender and add liquid or reduce the
contents of the jar.
When blending ice,
1. Take the ice from the freezer and allow it to rest on the work
top for ve minutes.
2. Fill the jug about a third way with ice cubes. Leave plenty of
free space in the blender so the ice cubes can move around.
Add a little water of fruit juice to speed up the process, this
also helps to prevent any damage to the motor.
3. Place the lid on the jug and pulse the the blender ve to
seven times in quick, two-second bursts. If the ice sticks to
sides remove the jug and shake it for 15 to 30 seconds.
4. Once you are satised the motor will not struggle, set
the blender to a medium setting (2 or 3) until the desired
consistency is reached.
CAUTION:
• DO NOT PROCESS BOILING LIQUIDS OR HOT
INGREDIENTS. ALLOW TO COOL BEFORE PLACING
THEM IN THE GLASS JUG.
• Do not operate when the blender is empty.
• Do not operate without liquid.
• Do not blend and crush dry fruit.
• Do not ll the glass jug above the max level on the jug.
Some mixtures increase in volume during blending and
create pressure in the jug.

1. Put the ingredients into the grinder unit, do not exceed the
‘max’ level. Put the cover on and turn clockwise to lock.
2. Line up the red arrow on the grinder unit and the red arrow on
the motor housing and place the assembled grinder unit on to
the motor housing.
3. Turn the speed dial to the desired speed between 1-5 (lowest
to highest). Do not run for more than 30 seconds.
Note: the grinder unit is light in weight, in order for the unit
to make contact with the interlock gently press down on the
cover of the grinder.
4. Allow the motor to completely stop running before removing
the assembled grinder unit from the motor housing.
5. Turn the assembled grinder unit upside down to allow the
ingredients to fall into the cover, turn anti-clockwise to remove
the grinder unit.
CAUTION: to prevent water from entering the motor
housing only grind dry ingredients, do not add water or
other liquids.
Using the grinder

CAUTION: the blades inside the jug are removable and
are very sharp; extreme caution should be taken whilst
assembling, dis-assembling or cleaning.
1. Always unplug from the mains socket before cleaning.
2. Do not remove the jug untill the blade assembly has
completely stopped.
3. Do not immerse the motor housing in water, wipe with a soft
cloth.
