IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed. These instructions should be saved for future
reference:
• Read and familiarise yourself with all operating instructions before
using this Jug Blender.
• Before plugging your unit into the mains, visually check that the unit is
intact and has not suffered any transit damage.
• Do not use this product with a programmer, timer, separate remote-
control system or any other device.
• Do not use this blender with an extension cable.
• Check that the voltage indicated on the data plate corresponds with
that of the local network before connecting the appliance to the mains
power supply.
• Close supervision is required when using this appliance near children.
• Never leave this appliance within reach of children.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the
appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.
• Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless
continuously supervised.
• Do not immerse the appliance or its cord in water or any other liquids.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended during use.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended whilst connected to the mains
supply.
• Always use this appliance on a solid, level, non-flammable surface.
• Do not use this appliance outdoors.
• It is imperative to unplug the power cord after the appliance has been
used, before it is cleaned and whilst being repaired.
• Repairs to electrical appliances should only be performed by a
qualified electrician. Improper repairs may place user at serious risk.
• Do not operate this appliance with a damaged plug or cord, after a
malfunction or after being dropped or damaged in any way.
• Regular, periodic checks should be carried out on the mains cable to
ensure no damage is evident. Should there be any signs of damage
the appliance should not be used.
• If the power cable is damaged, it should only be replaced by the

manufacturer or a suitable qualified after-sales-service in order to
avoid a hazard.
• Do not allow the mains cable to hang over sharp edges or come in
contact with hot surfaces.
• Do not run the mains cable under carpets, rugs, etc.
• Allow the unit to cool before storage.
• Before cleaning, changing accessories or approaching parts that
move in use disconnect the appliance from the mains supply and
allow to cool.
• This appliance is intended for household use only and should not be
used for industrial purposes.
• Do not use any accessories or attachments with this appliance other
than those supplied or recommended by the supplier.
• Do not use this appliance for anything other than its intended use.
• Do not push objects into any openings as damage to the appliance
and/or electric shock may occur.
• Unplug after each use. Grasp the plug, not the cord.
• To clean the inside of the jug, rinse to remove any large food
particles. Wash in warm soapy water and rinse.
• CAUTION: the blades inside the jug are not removable and are
very sharp; extreme caution should be taken whilst cleaning the
inside of the jug.

Before the first time you use your Jug Blender
Please read these operating instructions thoroughly and keep them in
a safe place for future reference.
Remove all packing and dispose of responsibly.
It is recommended to rinse out the Jug before first use.
Instructions for use
• Place the Motor Base Unit (4) onto a solid, level, non-flammable
surface.
NB Always remove the Jug when adding liquid to prevent spillages
onto the base unit. It is recommended to fill the jug (food and liquid) to
no more than 1/3 - 2/3 the amount of the jug’s capacity. Do not
exceed the maximum capacity of the jug (1500ml).

Place the Jug (3) onto the Motor Base
Unit (4).

To prepare for blending, cut the food into chunks approximately 15mm
square and place them into the Jug (3), add the required amount of
liquid using the measuring scale on the jug. Place the Lid (2) onto the
Jug (3),

Using your Blender
• Ensure the Speed Control (5) is in the ‘0’ position and insert the mains
plug into the socket (ensuring hands are dry):
• Turn the Speed Control (5) to pulse ‘P’ several times for pre-blending.
• Turn the Speed Control (5) clockwise for the speeds from 1 to 5. The
speed can be changed at any time during the blending process.
Ideally, start blending on speed ‘1’ and increase to a ‘5’ speed if
necessary to blend until desired consistency is reached. For
ingredients that require short burst of power, use the pulse function.
• If you wish to add further ingredients, switch off the blender by
returning the control knob to the ‘0’ position and twist off the Filling
Cup (1) and add the ingredients through the chute, then refit the
Filling Cup by twisting it back on and continue blending.
• Once the ingredients are blended, return the control knob to the ‘0’
position and remove the mains plug. Hold the base unit, grasp the jug
handle and lift upwards off the base unit, remove the lid and pour the
blended contents out.
• WARNING Do not use the appliance continuously for longer than 1
minute. If you need to blend for a longer time, switch the appliance off
and let the unit rest for 30 seconds before using again. Do not exceed
7 consecutive cycles of 1 minute operation / 30 seconds rest.

Care and Use of your Jug Blender
• Always disconnect the Jug Blender from the mains power supply
before cleaning.
• Wash the jug only in warm soapy water – CAUTION: the
blades inside the jug are not removable and are very sharp;
extreme caution should be taken whilst cleaning the inside of the
jug.
• Clean the outside of the Base Unit with a clean damp cloth. Never
clean with harsh or abrasive cleaners.
• Do not submerge the base unit in water or any other liquids.

Fitting a new plug
If for any reason you need to fit a new plug, the flexible mains lead
must be connected as shown below. The wires in the mains lead fitted
to this appliance are coloured in accordance with the following code:
Brown wire = Live (L)
Blue wire = Neutral (N)
Green and Yellow = Earth (E)
If colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance do not
correspond with the coloured marking identifying the terminals in
your plug, proceed as follows:

The wire which is coloured Blue must be connected to the terminal
which is marked with the letter N or coloured Black. The wire which
is coloured Brown must be connected to the terminal which is
marked with the letter L or coloured Red. The wire which is
coloured Green and Yellow must be connected to the terminal
which is marked with the letter E or coloured Green.
Before refitting the plug cover check that there are no cut or stray
strands of wire inside the plug. Use a 13 Amp BS 1362 fuse, only
BSI or
ASTA approved fuses should be used. If you are in any way unsure
which plug or fuse to use, always refer to a qualified electrician.
Note: After replacing or changing a fuse on moulded plug which
has a fuse cover, the cover must be refitted to the plug, the
appliance must not be used without a fuse cover.
