por un adulto para evitar que usen el aparato como un juguete. Únicamente utilice el
aparato para los fines indicados en el presente manual de instrucciones. Este aparato
está destinado a un uso doméstico, no profesional. No utilice el dispositivo cerca de otros
equipos que pudieran provocar interferencias. No someta al producto a caídas ni golpes
fuertes, puede provocar variación de exactitud. La vida útil del producto depende del
trato sobre el mismo (golpes, limpieza, etc..). No utilizar el dispositivo en caso de que se
perciban daños internos o externos en el mismo. En caso de algún daño contacte con un
servicio de asistencia técnica autorizado. Cuando encienda el producto para ser utilizado,
compruebe que no aparece el indicador de batería baja. Si es así, cambie las baterías.
Con objeto de evitar posibles situaciones de riesgo, no manipule el producto, las
reparaciones o intervenciones que debieran efectuarse sobre el aparato, única-
mente podrán llevarse a cabo por personal técnico cualificado del Servicio Técnico
Oficial de la marca.
En caso de uso incorrecto o manipulación indebida del producto, ésta quedará fuera de
garantía. Para reparar su producto acuda siempre a un servicio técnico autorizado.

MODO DE EMPLEO
El termómetro TF-60 sirve para la medición de la temperatura corporal por vía oral, axilar
y rectal. Coloque 1 pila de tamaño LR41 en el aparato. Asegúrese que están colocadas
de acuerdo con la polaridad indicada en el aparato. Cierre el compartimento de las pilas.
Antes de cualquier medición se recomienda que el termómetro se encuentre al menos
durante 30 minutos en el lugar donde se va a realizar la medición para evitar cambios de
temperatura en el producto. Se recomienda también desinfectar la punta del sensor. A fin
de evitar desviaciones en la medición de temperatura, asegúrese de que la zona del cuer-
po en la que se realizará la medición se encuentra limpia. Se recomienda realizar una
medición un día normal en que la persona se encuentre bien para tener una referencia
de la temperatura regular de la persona. De esta forma se podrá comprobar la diferencia.
Tenga en cuenta que las medidas por vía oral, axilar o rectal no necesariamente tienen
que dar el mismo resultado, ya que pueden existir variaciones entre una medición y otra.
Pasos para una medición:
• Pulse el botón encendido/apagado (C).
• La pantalla LCD se encenderá viéndose todos los valores y oirá una alarma. Luego de
este chequeo inicial la pantalla mostrará la letra “L” y ºC o ºF, indicando que ya está listo
para realizar una medición.
• Si al encender el termómetro la temperatura ambiente es inferior a 32ºC se mostrará en la
pantalla “LºC”. Si la temperatura ambiente es superior a 42ºC se mostrará en la pantalla “HºC”.
• La medición se completa cuando se ha alcanzado una valor de temperatura constante.
La temperatura se considera constante cuando la temperatura aumenta menos de 0.1ºC
en un lapso de 16 segundos. En cuanto se obtenga esta temperatura máxima se escu-
chará cuatro veces una señal acústica o BEEP.
Modo de medición vía oral:
Como norma general, la temperatura oral es 0.3 ºC a 0.8 ºC más baja que la temperatura
rectal. Para asegurar que la medición es correcta introduzca lentamente la punta colo-
cándola a la izquierda o derecha de la base de la lengua. La punta del sensor debe estar
en contacto permanente con el tejido durante la medición y estar debajo de la lengua,
manteniendo la boca cerrada en todo momento y respirando normalmente por la nariz.
No coma ni beba antes de realizar la medición. El tiempo normal de medición es de
50-70 segundos.
Modo de medición vía axilar:
Colocando el termómetro en la axila se obtendrá una temperatura que puede variar entre
0.5ºC y 1.5ºC respecto a la temperatura rectal en adultos. El tiempo normal de medición
es de 80 a 120 segundos. Debe tenerse en cuenta que la medición no será precisa si se
levanta el brazo durante la misma o si se deja enfriar la zona axilar. En tal caso siempre
será recomendable ampliar el tiempo dedicado a realizar la medición hasta unos 5 minu-
tos para que la medición sea lo más precisa.
Modo de medición vía rectal:
Colocando el termómetro en el recto se obtendrá una temperatura más exacta desde un
punto de vista médico, ya que se obtiene desde un punto más cercano al centro del cuerpo.
La punta del sensor de temperatura debe introducirse lentamente y con cuidado hasta
un máximo de 2cm en el recto.
El tiempo normal de medición es de 40 a 60 segundos.
El aparato se apagará automáticamente al cabo de un minuto. Si desea apagarlo manual-
mente, mantenga presionado el botón de encendido/memoria.
Repita la medición en caso de desconfiar de la validez de los valores medidos. En caso
de que considere que los resultados no sean correctos, lleve el aparato a un Servicio de
Asistencia Técnica. Este producto no puede ser calibrado por el usuario.
Las mediciones de este producto son una temperatura orientativa y en caso de ser eleva-
da ir al médico para verificar la misma.
Memoria de última medición:
Pulse el botón de encendido/memoria. Se mostrará la temperatura de la última medición
durante unos 2 segundos y luego se borrará automáticamente.

CONSERVACIÓN DEL PRODUCTO
Para prolongar la vida útil del producto, deberá retirarse las pilas cuando no pretenda
utilizarlo en largos periodos de tiempo. Proteja el aparato contra la humedad, cambios
brucos de temperatura y de la radiación solar. No utilice el aparato cerca de fuertes
campos magnéticos. Limpiar con un trapo húmedo y secarlo después. Limpiar con una
periodicidad de 3-6 meses. Este termómetro es resistente al agua pudiendo limpiar el
mismo con agua bajo el grifo. Nunca lo sumerja bajo el agua. Para limpiar el sensor de
temperatura utilice un paño suave que se pueda mojar e alcohol o agua caliente. La lim-
pieza se debe hacer antes de cada uso. Mantenga siempre el termómetro limpio y libre
de polvo. Realizar revisiones periódicas de las diferentes partes que forman el producto
y en caso de daño o deterioro llevarlo a un Servicio de Asistencia Técnica autorizado.

The device must not be subjected to heavy falls or knocks, it might cause variation in
accuracy. The shelf life of the product depends on how the device is handled (beating,
cleaning, etc...) Do not use the device if any internal or external damage is observed. In
the event of any damage contact an authorized technical service.
Check that the low battery indicator does not flash when turning on the the product. If
so, change the batteries.
In order to prevent any risk of danger, do not handle the product. Only qualified
technical personnel from the brand´s Official Technical support service may carry
out repairs or procedures on the device.
Any incorrect use or improper handling of the device shall render the warranty null and
void. Only an authorised technical support service centre may carry out repairs on this
product.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The TF-60 thermometer is designed to read the body temperature orally axillary and
rectally. Place 1 LR41-size batteries in the appliance. Ensure that they are placed in
accordance with the polarity indicated in the appliance. Close the battery compartment.
Before taking any readings, the thermometer should be in place where the reading is to
be taken for at least 30 minutes. This prevents temperature changes in the components
of the product from affecting the result. It is also recommended to sanitize the sensor tip.
In order to avoid deviations in temperature reading, ensure that the area of the body
where the reading will be performed is clean.
In order to obtain a reference of the usual temperature of the person we recommend
performing the reading on a usual day and when the person feels well. This way you can
see the difference.
Please note that the orally, axillary or rectal readings do not necessarily have to give the
same result, as there may be variations between each reading.
Steps for taking a reading:
• Press the on/off button (C).
• The LCD monitor will turn on showing all values and an alarm will be heard. After this
initial check the display will show the letter “L” and C or F, indicating that it is ready to
take a reading.
• If the ambient temperature is below 32° C when turning the thermometer it will be
displayed in the “LºC” screen. - If the ambient temperature is below 42° C it will be
displayed in the “HºC” screen.
• The reading is completed when it reaches a constant temperature value. The tempe-
rature is considered constant when the temperature rises less than 0.1° over a period of
16 seconds. Once the maximum temperature is obtained, you will hear a beep four times.
Oral reading mode:
As a general rule, oral temperature is 0.3°C to 0.8°C lower than rectal temperature.
To ensure that the reading is correct slowly insert the tip by placing it on the left or right
of the base of the tongue. The tip of the sensor should be in permanent contact with the
tissue and under the tongue during the reading and, keeping the mouth shut at all times
and breathing normally through the nose.
Do not eat or drink before the reading. The normal reading time is 50-70 seconds.
Axillary reading mode:
The temperature that can vary between 0.5° C and 1.5° C relative to the adult rectal
temperature when placing the thermometer in the armpit.
The normal reading time is from 80 to 120 seconds.
It should be noted that the reading will not be accurate if the arm is raised while the
reading is being performed or if the axillary zone is cooled down. In this case always it is
advisable to extend the time spent on the reading to about 5 minutes so that the reading
is as accurate as possible.
Rectal reading mode:
Placing the thermometer in the rectum gets a more accurate temperature from a medical
point of view, since it is obtained from a point closer to the centre of the body. The tip
of the temperature sensor must be introduced slowly and carefully up to 2cm into the
rectum. The normal reading time is from 40 to 60 seconds. The device will automatically
turn off after a minute. Press the on/memory button if you want to turn off the device
manually. Repeat the reading if you do not trust the validity of the reading values. In the
event that you believe that the results are not correct, take the appliance to a Technical
Support Service. This product must not be calibrated by the user. Readings of this pro-
duct are a guideline and in case of high temperature it should be verified by a doctor.
Memory of the last reading:
Press the On/memory button The temperature of the last reading will be displayed for
about 2 seconds and then it will automatically be deleted.

PRODUCT STORAGE
Remove the batteries when you do not intend to use the product for an extended period
of time to prolong its shelf-life.
Protect the unit against moisture, sudden changes of temperature and solar radiation.
Do not use the appliance close to strong magnetic fields.
Clean with a damp cloth and dry afterwards. Clean every 3-6 months.
This thermometer is waterproof and it can be cleaned with tap water. Never immerse
underwater. Use a soft cloth that can get wet or hot water to clean the temperature sen-
sor. It must be cleaned before each use. Keep the thermometer clean and free of dust.
Conduct regular reviews of the different parts that make up the product and take it to an
authorised Technical Support Service in the event of any damage.
