AE room air conditioners and AH heat pump units are de-
signedfor windowinstallations inresidentialapplications and
areavailable in 9,000,12,000and 18,000 BTUHsizes.They
aredesignedfor 208/230 volt single phase applications.
The provided filter must be installed and under no circum-
stancesshould theunit beoperatedwithout thefilter inplace.
LocationandClearances
Be sure electrical service is adequate for chosen model of
air conditioner or heat pump. Complete electrical rating for
unitis found on serial plate locatedbehind front grille.Elec-
trical outlet must be close enough to unit for power cord to
reachwithout strain.
Air conditioner should be the only appliance on individual
circuit.
For personal safety and to avoid possible damage to appli-
ance or home, observe all safety instructions.
•Unitwith an optional window mounting kit
These models are designed for mounting though an
openingin awall.These units canbeadapted towindow
installation by using the optional window mounting kit
suppliedwith your unit.
•Unitwithoutawindow mounting kit
Nowindowmountingkitis supplied with the unit. These
modelsare designedfor mountingthroughan openingin
awall. Theseunits canbeadapted towindow installation
bypurchasing an optional window mounting kit.Consult
yourdealerto choose the kit that is appropriate for your
modelandinstallation.
NOTES:
1. Mechanical experience is required to install the air
conditioneror heat pump.
2. Installation can take from 1 to 3 hours, depending on
installer’s knowledge and skill.
