DANGER
•Refrigerant gas is heavier than air and displaces oxy-
gen. A massive leak could lead to oxygen depletion,
especially in basements, and an asphyxiation hazard
could occur leadingto serious injury or death.
• Do not install unit in an area where flammable materi-
als are present as this can cause risk of explosion
resultingin serious injury or death.
• If the refrigerant gas leaks duringinstallation, ventilate
the area immediately.
Refrigerant gas may produce toxic gas if it comes in contact
with fire such as from a fan heater, stove, or cooking device.
Exposure to this gas could cause severe injury or death.
• Any abnormalities in the operation of the air condi-
tioner such as smoke or fire could result in severe
injury or death.
Turn off the power and contact your dealer immediately for
instructions.
•Ifequipment utilizinga burner is used in the same
room as the air conditioner, there is the danger of oxy-
gen deficiency which could lead to an asphyxiation
hazard resultingin serious injury or death. Be sure to
ventilate the room sufficiently to avoid this hazard.
• After completingthe installation work, check that the
refrigerant gas does not leak.
Refrigerant gas may produce toxic gas if it comes in contact
with fire such as from a fan, heater, stove, or cooking
device. Exposure to this gas could cause severe injury or
death.
• Do not ground unit to water pipes. Do not ground unit to
gas pipes because a gas leak could result in an explo-
sion which could lead to severe injury or death.
• Do not ground the unit to telephone wires or lightning
rods as lightningstrikes could cause a severe shock
