User & Care Instructions
Important Information
1) DO NOT OVER EXTEND the opening of the handles
The spring will open the secateurs to their intended width.
Should you try to open them further, to cut thicker than 22mm stems/branches, the spring
may stretch and therefore no longer open as required.
This will not be covered by warranty.
2) THE LOCK - See Page 3 for instructions
The lock on ratchet secateurs is different to what you may have used previously.
The lock requires the handles to be squeezed full together whilst moving the lock.
This is to allow the lock to move over the bottom of the ratchet mechanism
This may take a few goes to get used to it
3) OIL ON BLADES
Oil will likely be present on the blades when you receive your secateurs. This is normal and
part of normal care. See General Care Instructions below
4) FOR MEDIUM/LARGE hands
As stated in the descriptions, these secateurs are best suited for medium to larger hands.
They will open wider due to the ratchet function. This is the same on most RATCHET typer
secateurs
General Care Instructions
1) CLEANING
If there is any oil on the blades, when you receive this, then please clean off
using the oil sponge or soft cloth, taking care to not touch the sharp edge of
blade
Clean carefully after use using a damp soft cloth, or included oil sponge, to clean
handle and blades ensuring you clean away from the sharp edges (NOT INTO
THEM). Mind your fingers
Then dry using another cloth if required
2) Oil Blade and cutting mechanism from time to time
You can apply a little household oil to the sponge or a soft cloth and carefully wipe
over the blade
This helps to maintain your blade
3) Always lock after use and STORE IN A SECURE, SAFE PLACE
