Thank you for purchasing the BST-1 Bass Shaker. The human ear has the ability to
hear a wide range of sounds, however, some sound is simply too low to hear and
must be felt through the body. Feeling this extremely low frequency sound adds a

CONNECTING A SINGLE BASS SHAKER
The impedance of the BST-1 Bass Shaker is 4 ohms. When used in a single unit

CONNECTING MULTIPLE BASS SHAKERS
Two or Four Bass Shakers can be used in situations where more bass energy is

impedance to 8 ohms, connecting two in Parallel will lower the impedance to 2 ohms,
and wiring four Bass Shakers in Series-Parallel will keep the overall impedance to 4

capability that achieves the wattage and various impedances. WARNING: Do NOT
exceed 50 watts RMS per Bass Shaker multiplied by the number of Shakers
(example: 50 x 4 = 200 Watts RMS)

that one be constructed using hardwood or plywood. Try to avoid fabric or padding
coming into contact with the Bass Shaker. It is important the Bass Shaker come in

AUTO – Mounting the Bass Shaker under the seats is highly recommended rather
than on the seat itself. Move (or remove) your seat forward as far as possible, and

using a rubber mallet or soft hammer. Again, ensuring the Bass Shaker comes into

Wiring in advance of the installation is recommended. Ensure your wire is without
kinks or bends and that no bare wire is touching metal. Use four steel screws or

WARNING: Always check under carpeted locations and recheck the mounting area
so as to not cut or drill into any existing electrical wiring, airbag sensors, hydraulics,
brakes, gas, or fuel lines.
ADDITIONAL NOTES AND SUGGESTIONS:
• Add a Low Pass 4 Ohm Crossover at a suggested 80Hz to reduce the possibility
of high frequency sounds

Warranty Information
DaytonAudio products are warranted free from defects in material and workmanship for 5 years from date
of purchase (see exceptions below). In the rare case of a product failure, please contact your place of
purchase or call our Customer Support Department at (937) 743-8248.
Warranty Limitations
There are no other warranties, either express or implied, that extend the foregoing, and there are no
ZDUUDQWLHVRIPHUFKDQWDELOLW\RU¿WQHVVIRUDQ\SDUWLFXODUSXUSRVH'D\WRQ$XGLRLVQRWUHVSRQVLEOHIRUDQ\
consequential on inconsequential damage to any other unit or component or the cost for installation or
extraction of any component of the audio system, or for the improper use of products. This includes but is
not limited to burnt voice coils, overheating, bent frames, holes in the cone, or broken lead wires. Warranty
does not apply to misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, improper use, etc. Dayton Audio reserves the right to
repair or replace the products with either a new or factory refurbished unit.
Exception: Dayton Audio HDMI Cables -- No registration, no questions asked LIFETIME warranty.
Replacement of DaytonAudio HDMI cables is with equal or better quality HDMI cables. Unassembled Kits -
A45-day return policy applies to unassembled kits. Once assembly has been started or completed, kits are
deemed used and are nonreturnable for refund/exchange. This does not limit the manufacturers' warranty
policies on any kit component.
