reference. Should the appliance be sold or transferred to another owner, or should you move house

Use
• The d mestic refrigerat rs and freezers are
designed t be used specifically f r the st rage
f edible f dstuffs nly.
• Best perf rmance is btained with ambient
temperature between +18°C and +43°C (class T);
+18°C and +38°C (class ST); +16°C and +32°C
(class N); +10°C and +32°C (class SN). The
class f y ur appliance is sh wn n its rating
plate.
Warning: when the ambient temperature is n t
included within the range indicated f r the class
f this appliance, the f ll wing instructi ns must
be bserved: when the ambient temperature
dr ps bel w the minimum level, the st rage
temperature in the freezer c mpartment cann t
be guaranteed; theref re it is advisable t use the
f d st red as s n as p ssible.

Installation
• During n rmal perati n, the c ndenser and
c mpress r at the back f the appliance heat up
c nsiderably. F r safety reas ns, minimum
ventilati n must be as sh wn in the instructi ns.
Attention: keep ventilation openings clear of
obstruction.
• Care must be taken t ensure that the appliance
d es n t stand n the electrical supply cable.
Important: if the supply c rd is damaged, it must
be replaced by a special c rd r assembly availa-
ble fr m the manufacturer r its service agent.
• If the appliance is transp rted h riz ntally, it is
p ssible that the il c ntained in the c mpress r
fl ws in the refrigerant circuit. It is advisable t
wait at least tw h urs bef re c nnecting the
appliance t all w the il t fl w back in the
c mpress r.
• There are w rking parts in this pr duct which
heat up. Always ensure that there is adequate
ventilati n as a failure t d this will result in
c mp nent failure and p ssible f d l ss. See
installati n instructi ns.
• Parts which heat up sh uld n t be exp sed.
Wherever p ssible the back f the pr duct sh uld
be against a wall.
Environment Protection
This appliance does not contain gasses which
could damage the ozone layer, in either its
refrigerant circuit or insulation materials.The
appliance shall not be discarded together with
the urban refuse and rubbish. Avoid damaging
the cooling unit, especially at the rear near the
heat exchanger. Information on your local
disposal sites may be obtained from municipal
authorities.The materials used on this appliance

Cleaning the interior
Bef re using the appliance f r the first time, wash
the interi r and all internal access ries with luke-
warm water and s me neutral s ap s as t rem ve
the typical smell f a brand-new pr duct, then dry
th r ughly.

Switching off
The appliance is shut ff by h lding d wn key (A) f r

Activation of functions
Each time key C is pressed, the f ll wing functi ns are
activated in a cl ckwise directi n:
Symb l 4 : rapid freezing functi n.

Operation
After plugging the plug int the p wer utlet, if the
display is n t illuminated, press key (A), appliance n.
As s n as the appliance is turned n, the f ll wing
signals will appear n the c ntr l panel:
• symb l (2) will be p sitive, indicating that the
temperature is p sitive.
Place the freezer therm stat c ntr l kn b (D) in a
middle p siti n, and the appliance will be set up t
pr vide the f ll wing temperature:
r ughly +5°C in the refrigerat r.
Fresh food refrigeration
T btain the best perf rmance:
• d n t st re warm f d r evap rating liquids in
the refrigerat r;
• d c ver r wrap the f d, particularly if it has a
str ng flav ur.
• P siti n f d s that air can circulate freely r und
it.
Temperature regulation
The temperature is aut matically regulated and can
be increased t achieve a higher temperature
(warmer) r reduced (c lder) by r tating the
therm stat kn b cl ckwise.
H wever, the exact setting sh uld be ch sen
keeping in mind that the temperature inside the
refrigerat r depends n:
• r m temperature;
• h w ften the d r is pened;
• the quantity f f d st red;
• l cati n f appliance.
We suggest placing the kn b in the middle p siti n t
btain an internal temperature f appr ximately +5° C.
Important
If the ambient temperature is high or the
appliance is fully loaded, and the appliance is
set to the lowest temperatures, it may run
continuously causing frost to form on the rear
wall. In this case the dial must be set to a higher
temperature to allow automatic defrosting and
therefore reduced energy consumption.
Use of the fridge compartment
Shopping Function
If y u need t insert a large am unt f warm f d, f r
example after d ing the gr cery sh pping, we suggest
activating the Sh pping functi n t chill the pr ducts
m re rapidly and t av id warming the ther f d
which is already in the refrigerat r and/ r freezer.
The sh pping functi n is activated by pressing key C
(several times if necessary) until the c rresp nding
ic n appears
The sh pping functi n shuts ff aut matically after
appr ximately 6 h urs.
It is p ssible t de-activate the functi n at any time by
pressing key C (see paragraph "Functi n Activati n").
Door open acoustic alarm
An ac ustic alarm will s und when the d r is left
pen f r ar und 5 minutes.
The d r pen alarm c nditi ns are indicated by:
- flashing symb l (1);
- red display illuminati n;
- beeping s und.
Press the butt n (C) t st p the ac ustic alarm.
When n rmal c nditi ns are rest red (d r cl sed):

Explanation of the cold zone signs
The symb l sh wn here n the left indicates the c ldest p int inside y ur refrigerat r.
Coldest area: bel w r equal t +4°C
Meat, p ultry, fish, c ld cuts, ready-t -eat meals, mixed salads, egg r cream based mixes and cakes, fresh
pasta, cake mixes, pizzas/quiches, fresh f ds and fresh-milk cheeses, vegetables ready t be used and
packed in plastic bags and all ther fresh f ds wh se expiry date is ass ciated with a preservati n
temperature bel w r equal t +4°C.
Temperatur indicator
Therm stat must be adjusted Right Temperature
With the temperature indicat r y u can keep a check that y ur refrigerat r is w rking pr perly.
The indicat r sh ws the "OK" symb l when the c ldest area reaches a temperature that is bel w r equal t
4°C.
If the temperature is higher than 4°C the indicat r is black s y u must adjust the therm stat t make the
temperature dr p.
ATTENTION: Keeping the refrigerat r d r pen f r a l ng time will cause the internal temperature t rise. T
measure the temperature c rrectly, it sh uld be read n the indicat r within 30 sec nds.
FOOD PROTECTION
Air recycling
The refrigerat r c mpartment is equipped with a
special D.A.C.(Dynamic Air C ling) fan which can
be turned n with the switch ( see fig. 1). The green
light, when n, means that the fan is w rking.
It is suggested that the fan (D.A.C.) be used when
the ambient temperature exceeds 25°C .
This device all ws f r rapid c ling f f ds and a
m re unif rm temperature in the c mpartment.

Hints for refrigeration
Useful hints:
Meat (all types): wrap in p lythene bags and place
n the glass shelf ab ve the vegetable drawer.
For safety, store in this way only one or two days
at the most.
Cooked foods, cold dishes, etc..: these sh uld be
c vered and may be placed n any shelf.
Fruit and vegetables: these sh uld be th r ughly
cleaned and placed in the special drawer(s)
pr vided.
Butter and cheese: these sh uld be placed in
special airtight c ntainers r wrapped in aluminium
f il r p lythene bags t exclude as much air as
p ssible.
Milk bottles: these sh uld have a cap and sh uld
be st red in the b ttle rack n the d r.
Bananas, potatoes, onions and garlic, if not
packed, must not be kept in the refrigerator.
Positioning the door shelves
T permit st rage f f d packages f vari us sizes,
the d r shelves can be placed at different heights.
T make these adjustments pr ceed as f ll ws:
Gradually pull the shelf in the directi n f the arr ws
until it c mes free, then rep siti n as required.
Movable shelves
The walls f the refrigerat r are equipped with a
series f runners s that the shelves can be
p siti ned as desired.
F r better use f space, the fr nt half-shelves can lie
ver the rear nes.

MAINTENANCE
Unplug the appliance before carrying out
any maintenance operation.

Periodic cleaning
Clean the inside with warm water and bicarb nate f
s da. Rinse and dry th r ughly.
Clean the c ndenser (black grill) and the
c mpress r at the back f the appliance with a
brush r a vacuum cleaner. This persti n will
impr ve the perf rmance f the appliance and save
electricity c nsumpti n.
Periods of non-operation
When the appliance is n t in use f r l ng peri ds,
take the f ll wing precauti ns:
rem ve the plug fr m the wall s cket;
rem ve all f d;
defr st and clean the interi r and all access ries;
leave the d r ajar t all w air t circulate t prevent
unpleasant smells.
Interior light
If it bec mes necessary t replace the lamp, press
n the rear h k and at the same time
slide the c ver in the directi n indicated by the arr w.
Attention:
Replace the lamp with ne f the same p wer (the
maximum p wer is sh wn n the light diffuser).
Defrosting
Fr st is aut matically eliminated fr m the evap rat r
f the refrigerat r c mpartment every time the m t r
c mpress r st ps, during n rmal use. The defr st
water drains ut thr ugh a tr ugh int a special
c ntainer at the back f the appliance, ver the
m t r c mpress r, where it evap rates.
It is important to periodically clean the defrost
water drain hole in the middle of the refrigerator
compartment channel to prevent the water
overflowing and dripping onto the food inside.
Use the special cleaner provided, which you will
find already inserted into the drain hole.

Location

sunlight etc.
ATTENTION!

the mains p wer supply; the plug must theref re be

CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SPARE PARTS
If the appliance is n t functi ning pr perly, check
that:
• the plug is firmly in the wall s cket and the mains
p wer switch is n;
• there is an electricity supply (find ut by plugging
in an ther appliance);
• the therm stat kn b is in the c rrect p siti n.
• If there are water dr ps n the b tt m f the
cabinet, check that the defr st water drain
pening is n t bstructed (see “Defr sting”
secti n).
• If y ur appliance is still n t w rking pr perly after
making the ab ve checks, c ntact the nearest
service centre.
T btain fast service, it is essential that when y u
apply f r it y u specify the m del and serial number
f y ur appliance which can be f und n the
guarantee certificate r n the rating plate l cated
inside the appliance, n the b tt m left-hand side.

The technical inf mati n are situated in the rating plate n the internal left side f the appliance .
Shelf holders
Y ur appliance is equipped with shelf retainers that
make it p ssible t secure the shelves during
transp rtati n.
T rem ve them pr ceed as f ll ws:
M ve the shelf retainers in the directi n f the arr w,
raise the shelf fr m the rear and push it f rward until
it is freed and rem ve the retainers.

Electrical connection
Bef re plugging in, ensure that the v ltage and
frequency sh wn n the serial number plate
c rresp nd t y ur d mestic p wer supply. V ltage
can vary by ±6% f the rated v ltage.
F r perati n with different v ltages, a suitably sized
aut -transf rmer must be used.
The appliance must be earthed.
The p wer supply cable plug is pr vided with a
c ntact f r this purp se.
If the d mestic p wer supply s cket is n t earthed,
c nnect the appliance t a separate earth in
c mpliance with current regulati ns, c nsulting a
specialist technician.
The Manufacturer declines all responsibility if
the above safety precautions are not observed.
Door Reversibility
The appliance is supplied with the door
opening to the right.
For door opening in the opposite direction,
perform the following actions prior to
installation
1. Unscrew the upper pin and rem ve the spacer
2. Rem ve the d r.
3. Unscrew the l wer pin and rem ve the spacer;
replace them n the pp site side.
4. Reinsert the d r and screw the pin and the
spacer back in place n the pp site side.

After having reversed the opening direction of
the doors check that all the screws are properly
tightened and that the magnetic seal adheres to
the cabinet. If the ambient temperature is cold
(i.e. in Winter), the gasket may not fit perfectly to
the cabinet. In that case, wait for the natural
fitting of the gasket or accelerate this process by
heating up the part involved with a normal
hairdrier.
