and appliance manufacturing applications. Delta Regis is not responsible for damage caused
by customer modication of tools for applications on which Delta Regis was not consulted.

It is the responsibility of the employer to place the information in this manual into the hands
of the operator. Failure to observe the following warnings could result in injury. When using
electric tools, Basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of re,
electric shock and personal injury.

below refer to your main (corded) DC power tool or battery operated (cordless) power tool.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
1) Electrical Safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in a combustible atmosphere, such as in the presence of ammable liquids,
gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust and fumes.
c) Keep children, and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose
control.
2) Electrical Safety
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs
with grounded power tools.
b) Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an
increased risk of electric shock if your body is grounded.
c) Don’t expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of
electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord to carry the tool, pull or unplug the power tool. Keep cord away
from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of cord
suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock .
3) Personal Safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not
use power tool while you are tired or under the inuence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment of
inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
b) Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety
shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries. Rubber
gloves and non-skid footwear are recommended when working outdoors.
c) Avoid accidentally starting the transducer screwdriver. Make sure that the voltage used is suitable for this
model. Before plugging in the power cable of the sensor screwdriver, rst make sure that the switch is o.
d) Remove any adjusting keys or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key that is left
attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelery. Keep your hair,clothing, and gloves away from
moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelery, or long hair can be caught in moving parts
g) Secure work. Use clamps or a vice to hold the work. It is safer than using your hand and frees both hands
to operate the tool.
h) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are
connected and properly used. Use of these devices can reduce dust related hazards.

4) Power tool Use and Care
a) Do not strain the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct
power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use power tool if switch does not turn it on or o. Any power tool that cannot be
controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments, changing
accessories, or storing the power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of
starting the power tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with
the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in
the hands of untrained users. Do not let visitors touch the tool or extension cord. All visitors
should be kept away from work area.
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of
parts and any other condition that may aect the power tools operation. If damaged, have
the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are cause by poorly maintained power
tools. Inspect extension cords periodically and replace, if damaged.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean, Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting
edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tools, accessories and tool bits etc., in accordance with these instructions
and in the manner intended for the particular type of power tool, taking into account the
working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations
dierent from intended could result in a hazardous situation.
5) SERVICE
a) Have your power tool serviced by qualied repair person using only identical replacement
parts, This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.

1. This tool should be grounded while in use to protect the operator from electric shock.
NOTICE ! To ensure the grounding result, the grounding conductor of the power cord must
be well connected with the grounding terminal of power facility. This tool is equipped with
grounding conductors. The Green(or Green and Yellow)conductor in the Power Cord is the
grounding wire. Never connect Green (or Green and Yellow) to a live terminal. The grounding
wires in this tool can not only ground the electric leakage safely, but also can eliminate ESD-
the electrostatic discharge that tool produces while in use.

OPERATING CAUTIONS
1) Do not allow chemicals such as acetone, benzene, thinner, trichloroethylene ketone,
or other similar chemicals to come in contact with the transducer screwdriver housing as
damage will result.
2) Use the transducer screwdriver carefully, do not drop or hit against hard surfaces, it is
always recomended to use this tool in an appropriate torque reaction arm.
3) Loading and unloading the transducer driver head: Simply pull down the screwdriver head
cap with your ngertips to freely attach or detach the transducer screwdriver head, release
the nger to return the screwdriver head cap to x the transducer screwdriver head. Note:
Make sure to turn o the power switch and remove the power plug from the socket when
installing and removing the transducer driver.
4) Do not drop or abuse the transducer screwdriver.
5) Connect the power cord to a power outlet.
CAUTION: Danger of electric shock due to wet power cord plug or hands.
6) Do not use this screwdriver for tightening wood screws. This is a “metal assembly
transducer screwdriver”
7) The control settings of the transducer screwdriver can be set by the DR-XTC1 controller.
Please refer to the DR-XTC1 operation manual for setting adjustment.
8) The transducer screwdriver operation can be set to the lever start/push start/reverse
start…etc. by DR-XTC1 controller. Please refer to DR-XTC1 operation manual.
9) Operation frequency: The original setting of the frequency is 1 sec on / 3 sec o.
The number of screw fastened is about 15 pcs. Over frequently using makes the motor
overheated and damage to screwdriver.
Slow speed Duty Cycle Conversion (for reference)
Based on 1000 rpm, 1 second ON/3 seconds OFF. For example, the duty cycle for
350rpm,1000-350=650, 650/1000%=65%
ON= 1*1.65= 1.65, OFF =3*1.65 =4.95 (rounded value) =2 seconds ON / 5 seconds OFF
This tool is intended for a duty cycle of 2.0 sec on, 5.0 sec o.
10) Whenever the transducer screwdriver is not in use, turn o the the power controller or
unplug the power cord.
11) Do not press rotation switch button durring operaton to avoid false torque readout.
12) Please use the designated connection cable for DR-XTC1.
13) Always recommend to be used in conjunction with an appropriate torque reaction arm.

4) Button Switch: Choose direction of rotation (clockwise/counterclockwise), there will be no
OK or NG signal action when counterclockwise rotation is occurring.
It is recommended to set the direction on the controller rst, before setting screw removal,
which includes CW and CCW. Please refer to the following table for button switch settings.
The torque to remove screw should be larger than that to fasten screw. For detailed
controller setting, please refer to DR-XTC1 controller operating manual.
5) Installing / Removing screwdriver bit.
Pull down the bit retainer with ngers to release bit. Thus, the bit can be freely installed and
removed using one hand.
6) LED Worklight
Please refer to the DR-XTC1 operation manual for setting adjustment.
7) Gear Case: Used for mounting tool in a torque reaction arm
8) Start Lever.
Transducer screwdriver starts functioning when the start lever has been pressed down; on the
contrary, it stops when lever is released or desired program is complete.
SERVICING
Maintenance and Inspection:
1) The transducer screwdriver must be operated in top condition, one day working hour must
be not more than eight hours.
2) Please note, do not let the motor get over heated, recommended 10~15 screws per minute.
3) Even if the usage of this electric transducer screwdriver is less than eight hours a day, it still
needs periodically testing and maintenance.
4) Inspect tool cord periodically and if damaged, have them replaced by an authorized service
facility. Inspect power cords periodically and replace if damaged.
5) Do not remove any labels. Contact Delta Regis for replacement labels.
6) To adjust the torque on these transducer screwdriver. Proceed as follows :
Stop the transducer driver rst and adjust it with the DR-XTC1 controller.
