1General instructions
The instructions in this user manual must be carefully followed and adhered to. All those involved in
the operation, maintenance and repair of the product must have read and understood this user
manual.
We reserve the right to make technical changes to the illustrations and details in the user manual in
order to improve the product.
NOTE
The GritCaddy is supplied ready for use and fully assembled.
The national guidelines and safety regulations with respect to safety guidelines
and works safety must be observed.
1.1 Intended use of the equipment
The GritCaddy is to be used for storing and transporting granulates such as sand, grit,
spreading salt and absorbents.
Only use the GritCaddy on surfaces which are sufficiently strong.
Ensure the GritCaddy is only parked on even, sufficiently strong surfaces.
NOTE
Temperature range -20°C to +40°C.
Keep out of long term direct sunlight.
1.2 Misuse
The following are considered as misuse:
Carrying people in the GritCaddy.
Improper use of the equipment
Exceeding the permitted transport volume or carrying capacity.
Parking the GritCaddy on inclined surfaces or surfaces which cannot support the weight.

1.3 Claims for defects and liability
We are not liable for claims for defects, damage or injury to persons or property caused by one or
more of the following:
Improper use of the equipment
Unapproved modifications.
Incorrect maintenance or repair.
2Safety instructions
WARNING
Observe the applicable rules for health and safety at work.
Carrying people in the GritCaddy is not permitted.
The maximum carrying capacity given must not be exceeded.
Only use the GritCaddy and park it on surfaces which are sufficiently strong.
When parking the GritCaddy, ensure it is stable and secure.
CAUTION
There is a danger of crushing when operating the cover.

The GritCaddy consists of a plastic container, a hinged plastic cover and has solid rubber tyres on
plastic rims and a galvanised steel axle.

4Operation
4.1 Safety instructions
WARNING
Note safety regulations!
The safety instructions in section 2 „Safety instructions“must be observed.
4.2 Using the GritCaddy
Open the cover.
Fill with spreading material.
Close the cover.
Grip the GritCaddy handle and tilt to manoeuvre.
When you reach the location of use, set the GritCaddy safely down, open the cover and
remove the spreading material.
NOTE
Do not overfill the GritCaddy.
5Maintenance and Care
Regular maintenance and care will extend the life of the GritCaddy.
NOTE
Check the GritCaddy for damage at regular intervals. Especially these
components:
-Container
-Wheels
-Axle
If damage is noted which affects the safe use of the product, the GritCaddy must
be removed from service immediately.

6Disposal
NOTE
Clean the GritCaddy thoroughly before disposal to remove any hazardous material
residue.
The GritCaddy is made from plastic and metal parts and is fully recyclable. After decommissioning,
follow local legislation when disposing of any waste.
