Denon's 'Universal' Disc Playback Technology Now Includes
Provision For 3D Blu-ray Discs
Denon introduced the universal disc player concept, and the DBP-1611UD continues the tradition with the ability to
play the widest range of popular music and video disc types, including Blu-ray, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, SACD, and
music CD. Audiophiles and videophiles with large disc collections will appreciate the universal disc playback capabil-
ity. Prepared for the future, the DBP-1611UD will be able to play forthcoming 3D Blu-ray titles (via a rmware upgrade
that should be available in the Fall of 2010). Fully network capable, the DBP-1611UD is equipped with Blu-ray Prole
2.0 functionality, with 1GB of onboard memory, along with a USB port for additional memory or for playback of audio
and video les via a portable USB drive or device. Fully DLNA-certied, the player is also equipped for internet video
streaming via YouTube and Netix (subscription required for Netix).

The DBP-1611UD plays not only Blu-ray discs and DVDs but a
wide range of other optical media such as CDs, Super Audio CDs,
and DVD-Audio discs. You can essentially enjoy your entire disc
library in high sound and picture quality.

You can use the DBP-1611UD’s network function to down-
load the firmware required for playing Blu-ray 3DTM discs and
enjoying 3D video.

The DBP-1611UD plays DivX® video files stored on USB
memory, DVD-R/RW or other recordable media, MP3 and
WMA music files, JPEG files taken with a digital camera, as
well as WMV video les and MPEG-AAC music les.

The disc mechanism, which also absorbs vibration, is mount-
ed at the center of the DBP-1611UD to efficiently release un-
wanted vibration through the feet to the ground and support
high-quality sound and picture playback.

The electronic circuits have been mounted in separate loca-
tions inside the DBP-1611UD to ensure that the different
