INSTALLATION
LOCATEthe receiverinthe roomwheredirectlightdoesnotstrikethe screen.Totaldark-
ness orareflection on the picturescreen can causeeyestrain.Soft and indirectlighting is
recommended forcomfortableviewing.
ALLOWenough spacebetween the receiverand the wall topermitproperventilation.
AVOIDexcessivewarmlocationstopreventpossibledamage tothe cabinetorcomponent
failure.
CONNECTION
ThisTVreceivercan be connected toAC:230V~50Hz.
AUTOMATICDEGAUSSING
All colortelevision receiversaresensitivetomagneticinfluences,usuallycaused byeither
moving the receiverfromone placetoanotherorusing certainelectricalappliancesnearthe
receiver.Thisresidualmagnetismasitiscalled,sometimescausesdistortion whichgives
riseto"blotchy"areasofcolorinthe picture.Toavoidtheseeffectsthe receiverincorpo-
ratesan automaticdegaussing circuitwhichoperatesforashortwhileimmediatelyeach
timethe receiverisswitched on using the mainsswitch.Thiscircuitremovesanyresidual
magnetisminthe metalpartsofthe picturetube and thereforeensuresthateachtimethe
receiverisswitched lifelike.If the setismoved orfaced inadifferentdirection,the mains
switchmustbe switched off atleast10 minutesinorderthatthe automaticdegaussing
circuitoperatesproperly.

DVDOperations
Play Discs
1.Press the OPEN/CLOSE Button (∆)on the frontpaneland load the Disc on the tray.
The labelside shouldbe facing upwards.ForaDouble-sided DVDDisc,putthe disc
withlabelA/1up.
2.Press the OPEN/CLOSE (∆)button againtoclosethe trayand the disc will be
loaded.
3.The Disc will be played automatically.
•If itisaDVDdisc,itwill showthe Menu/TitlePage on the screen.
•If itisaCD,itwill playthe firsttrack directly.
4.Press the STOPButton ()ifyou wanttostop the Disc playback You can resume
playback bypressing the PLAY button and itwill startatthe location whereyou have
pressed stopped (ResumePlay).
5.Press the STOPButton twicetohavethe Disc reallystopped.
PAUSE Mode
Thisfunction isapplicableforDVDand CD audio.
•ForDVD,the picturewill becomestatic.
•ForCD audio,itwill becomesilent.
1.Press the PAUSE Button (|| )will causethe playertoenterPausemode.

When using the NumberButtonsasinput, userisalways required toentertwodigits.For

AudioMode
Thisfunction isapplicableforDVDand CD audiobutwithdifferenteffects.
•ForaDVDdisc,pressing theAUDIOButton will change the
language ofplayback.
•ForCD,pressing theAUDIOMENU Button will change
the audiomode inround-robbinfashion.
Fast
Thisfunction isapplicableforDVDand CD audiobutwithdifferenteffects.The
FASTFORWARD(FF)keyand FASTBACKWARD(FR)keyareused toachievefast
playfunction.
•ForDVD,thereare4differentlevelsofspeed (2x,4x,8x,16x).Every
successivekeypress will incrementthe speed ofquick play.
Note:Press PLAY Button atanystage will resumetonormalspeed.
•ForCD audio,the FF/FRwill performquick rolling on the musicoutput. However,
oncethe FF/FRkeypress isreleased,the playback will resumetonormalspeed.
SKIP
During playback,press one ofthe SKIPbuttons(PREVIOUSbutton andNEXTbutton)
•Anumberofchaptersortracks equaltothe numberoftimesthe button ispressed is
skipped
•When the skipback button ispressed once,the pickup returnstothe beginning ofthe
currentlyplaying chapterortrack.
•When the skipfrontbutton ispressed once,the pickup returnstothe beginning ofthe
previouschapterortrack.
•Insomecasesthe menu screen mayreappearwhen one ofthe SKIPbuttonsis
pressed during menu playback on DVD/CD.
SlowPlay
The SlowForwardisapplicableforDVD,Thereare4stepsofslowmotion speed,1/2,
1/4,1/8,1/16.Successivekeypresseswill decrementthe playback speed.
