- Paraffin Treatment -
Hot paraffin treatments have been used for years by doctors and physical
therapists to soothe the pain of arthritis, bursitis, tendonitis and swollen feet.
Paraffin is a petroleum by-product of wax that has excellent heat retention
properties. The paraffin coating causes an increase in blood circulation and the
opening of skin pores. As a result, perspiration is generated acting as a mini-sauna and
moisturizers are absorbed more effectively into the skin. Skin that was once dry and
rough results in a soft, fresh healthy appearance.
Depilève now brings this soothing, luxurious treatment into the salon as a
conditioning cosmetic treatment for hands, feet and face. Treatments are not only
delightful to receive, but also easy to apply.
- Important Safety Instructions -
1. Before using, always test the paraffin temperature on the inside of
your wrist to make sure it is comfortable.
2. Do not overfill the unit and always keep the paraffin level between the “Min.” and
“Max.” marks found inside the reservoir.
3. Do not heat paraffin in its plastic packaging bags nor heat on a range, stove or in a
microwave.
4. Do not use the unit without paraffin.
5. Do not pour the melted paraffin from the reservoir.
6. Do not pour water into the reservoir, or immerse the unit in water.
7. Do not use the unit if the power cord is damaged in any way or allow it to come
into contact with heated surfaces.
8. Use this appliance on a level surface.
9. Do not add or mix any additives, lotions or waxes to the paraffin. Use it only in its
original form.
10. Do not use the unit if your client has impaired circulation or any skin irritations,
rashes, cuts, burns or warts.

11. This product has no user serviceable parts. Any service should be performed by
an authorized service representative.
- Operating Instructions -
This paraffin warmer is equipped with an electronic adjustable thermostat. The
temperature range for the dial is from 50º to 58º Centigrade (122º to 136º Fahrenheit).
The melting time is between 2 to 3 hours. The unit holds 2.7 kilos or 6 lbs of paraffin
which will yield approximately 24 pairs of hands or 16 pairs of feet, assuming 5
immersions per hand or foot.
- Instructions -
1. Plug the unit into an electrical outlet of the correct voltage.
2. Remove the lid from the unit.
3. Remove the plastic bags from the paraffin blocks and introduce 2 to 2,7 Kg. in the
reservoir.
4. Place the lid on the warmer to retain the heat. Turn the dial to 10 for 1 1/2 hours
and then reduce to the green side between “1” and “3”. Never introduce any
body part when the dial is on the red side ( between “6” and “10”).
5. Always keep the paraffin level between “Min.” and “Max.” in the reservoir. Use the
convenient bags to fill to the proper level.
6. If the paraffin is too warm, lower the temperature setting to cool the paraffin faster.

COMMERCIAL PARAFFIN CANNOT BE USED WITH THIS WARMER.

The Depilève paraffin has a special low melting-point formula containing oils
and conditioners for easy “peel-off” removal. The unit is designed to be used at a room
temperature of 18º to 27ºC or 64º to 81ºF.
DO NOT PLACE THE UNIT IN A SUNNY WINDOW, NEXT TO A RADIATOR OR NEXT TO AN
AIR CONDITIONER SINCE THE BATH MAY BECOME WARMER OR COOLER THAN NORMAL.
The electronic thermostat controls the paraffin temperature. The indicator
light will go on and off intermittently during normal operation. This means that the
electronic thermostat is working PROPERLY.
If the indicator light does not turn off or is on continuously for a prolonged
period of time, then the safety thermostat will activate and shut off the unit. If this
occurs, the unit must be returned for repair.
- Important Hygiene Instructions -
To ensure the sanitary use of the paraffin treatment, we recommend the
following procedures:
1) Thoroughly sanitize the skin and dry completely.
2) Apply the paraffin according to the treatment required.
3) Discard all the paraffin that has been removed from the skin.
4) Place the cover on the unit when not in use.
5) Clean the warmer after 40 treatments or if sediment accumulates on the bottom
of the unit.

This warmer was designed especially to be used with the original
DEPILÈVE paraffin (with a lower melting point). The use of any other
paraffin is under the user’s responsibility.

- Cleaning the Paraffin Warmer -
After 40 treatments the unit should be cleaned and the old paraffin replaced.
This is an easy process and insures continued high hygienic standards.
1) Turn the unit “OFF”. Allow the paraffin to solidify overnight.
2) When the paraffin is solid, turn the unit “ON” for a few minutes until the edges
of the paraffin are melted and loose, around the sides of the unit.
3) Push down on one end of the paraffin cake and it will tip up. Lift the paraffin out of
the unit and dispose of it.
DO NOT USE SHARP OBJETCS TO REMOVE SOLIDIFIED PARAFFIN SINCE THE
RESERVOIR WILL BE SCRATCHED OR DAMAGED.
4) Turn the unit OFF and wipe the unit inside with a disposable towel to remove
residual sediments and paraffin.
5) With a damp, soapy cloth wipe dry.
DO NOT POUR WATER INTO UNIT OR IMMERSE IN WATER.
6) Refill unit with paraffin to appropriate level.
- Contraindications -
1) Individuals sensitive to temperature should test the paraffin on the inside of the
wrist before applying.
2) Do not apply paraffin on warts, open cuts or wounds, inflammatory skin
conditions, peripheral vascular disease where circulation is impaired, acute
inflamation, or when sensation of the extremity is reduced or absent. If there is any
question about peripheral vascular disease or decreased sensation of the
extremities, individual should consult a doctor before using.
3) Treatment should be discontinued if dermatitis due to paraffin sensitivity
occurs. Discontinue use if the paraffin feels too cool or too hot, indicating possible
physical problems.

- Hand Treatment -

No es aconsejable utilizar aparatos eléctricos con niños presentes. Al utilizar el
calentador Depilève siga las mismas precauciones básicas que con cualquier otro aparato
eléctrico, mientras está conectado a la red.
1. Desconecte el aparato cuando no lo está utilizando. No lo guarde ni
manipule caliente.
2. Cualquier aparato eléctrico debe utilizarse en un lugar donde no corra el riesgo de
caer al agua o ser salpicado por ésta.
3. No intente coger un aparato eléctrico si ha caído al agua. Desenchúfelo de
inmediato.
4. Si el aparato se ha caído, dañado, el cable o la clavija no están en perfecto
estado o detecta que no funciona correctamente, contacte con su servicio técnico
más cercano.
5. Mantenga el aparato alejado de fuentes de calor.
6. Utilice el aparato sobre una superficie plana, donde no exista riesgo de
tropezar con él o se caiga.
7. No utilizar un aparato eléctrico al aire libre, donde se utilicen aerosoles con
oxígeno o se esté administrando este gas.
8. No use alargador ni enrolle el cable alrededor del aparato.

La Parafina es un petróleo derivado de la cera con excelentes propiedades
de retención del calor. La capa de Parafina activa la circulación sanguínea al mismo
tiempo que abre los poros de la piel. Como resultado de esta acción de “mini-sauna” se
incrementa la sudación y los productos hidratantes son absorbidos por la piel con mucha
más efectividad. La piel, antes seca y áspera, recobra su aspecto suave y sano.
Depilève ha desarrollado este tratamiento para uso estético en el
acondicionamiento de las manos, pies y rostro. Los tratamientos son sencillos de aplicar
y con resultados visibles e inmediatos para su clientela.
- Instrucciones de uso -
1. Pruebe siempre la parafina caliente en la parte interior de la muñeca
para verificar su temperatura. Si es usted propenso a reacciones
alérgicas o tiene problemas circulatorios, consulte a su médico antes
de usar.
2. El nivel de parafina siempre debe estar situado entre las marcas “Min” y “Max”
de la cubeta.
3. No caliente la parafina en las bolsas de plástico, bien sea en el aparato, en un
microondas o en una placa.
4. No utilice el aparato sin parafina.
5. No vacíe el aparato con la parafina líquida.
6. No vierta agua en la cubeta, ni sumerja el aparato en agua.
7. No añada ningún aditivo, loción, o cera a la parafina.
8. No utilice el aparato si la persona a tratar tiene problemas circulatorios,
irritaciones en la piel, verrugas, o cortes.
9. Este aparato sólo puede ser reparado por personal técnico autorizado.

- Instrucciones -
El calentador de Parafina está equipado con un termostato regulable. La
temperatura puede ser ajustada entre 50º y 58º Centígrados (122º a 136º Fahrenheit).
La Parafina se derrite en un intervalo de 2 a 3 horas. El aparato tiene una capacidad de
3 kilos de Parafina, lo cual permite el tratamiento de 24 pares de manos o 16 pares de
pies, con 5 inmersiones por mano o pie.
1. Conecte el aparato a un enchufe de la tensión correcta.
2. Destape el aparato.
3. Retire la parafina de la bolsa plástica e introduzca de 2 a 2,7 Kg. en la cubeta.
4. Ponga la tapa sobre el aparato para retener el calor. Posicione el botón del
termostato al máximo (10) durante una hora y media. Transcurrido este tiempo,
posicione el indicador del botón entre “1” y “3”. Nunca introduzca un miembro
del cuerpo cuando el botón esté entre las posiciones “6” y “10”.
5. Si la parafina está demasiado caliente, baje la temperatura para que ésta se
enfríe más rápidamente.
La parafina Depilève tiene un punto de fusión más bajo debido a su fórmula
especial que incluye aceites y “suavizantes” para facilitar el proceso de retirar la parafina.
El aparato está diseñado para ser utilizado a temperatura ambiente (18 a 27º C o
64 a 81º F).
ATENCIÓN: NUNCA ENCIENDA EL APARATO SIN PARAFINA.
LA PARAFINA “COMERCIAL” NO PUEDE UTILIZARSE
EN ESTE CALENTADOR.
Este aparato ha sido específicamente diseñado para ser utilizado con
parafina original DEPILÈVE (con un punto de fusión más bajo). Su uso
con cualquier otra parafina será bajo la responsabilidad del usario.

NO COLOQUE EL APARATO CERCA DE UNA VENTANA SOLEADA, CERCA DE UN
RADIADOR, O DE UNA SALIDA DE AIRE ACONDICIONADO YA QUE AFECTARÁ A LA
TEMPERATURA DE LA PARAFINA, VOLVIÉNDOLA MÁS CALIENTE O FRÍA DE LO NORMAL.
El termostato electrónico controla la temperatura de la parafina. El Piloto
de Termostato se encenderá y apagará intermitentemente mientras el aparato está
conectado. Esto significa que el calentador está funcionando correctamente.
Si el Piloto de Termostato no se apaga o si está encendido durante un tiempo
prolongado, el termostato de seguridad se activará y automáticamente apagará el
aparato. Si esto ocurre, el aparato debe ser devuelto para su reparación.
Para asegurar el uso higiénico de la parafina, siga siempre las instrucciones
siguientes:
- Instrucciones de higiene importantes -
Para mantener la parafina limpia e higiénica recomendamos siempre seguir los
siguientes pasos:
1. Limpie la piel con Dermo Spray y séquela completamente.
2. Aplique la parafina según el tratamiento requerido.
3. Tire la parafina que haya sido retirada de la piel. No la reutilice o vuelva a
derretir en el aparato.
4. Tenga siempre el aparato tapado cuando no esté utilizándolo.
5. Limpie siempre el aparato después de 40 tratamientos o si observa la acumulación
de sedimentos en el fondo del calentador.

- Cómo limpiar el calentador de Parafina -
Después de 40 tratamientos el aparato debe limpiarse y la parafina
antigua debe reemplazarse. El proceso a seguir es sencillo y garantiza el correcto
mantenimiento e higiene del calentador.
1. Apague el aparato, y deje que la parafina se solidifique durante la noche.
2. Cuando la parafina esté sólida, encienda el aparato durante unos minutos hasta
que los laterales de la parafina se derritan y el bloque esté suelto en la cubeta.
3. Empuje el bloque de parafina hacia el interior por uno de sus extremos. Saque
el bloque de parafina de la cubeta, tire el bloque de parafina. No utilice objetos
punzantes para extraer el bloque, ya que dañará la cubeta.
4. Apague el aparato y límpie el interior con una toalla de papel, eliminando todos los
sedimentos y la parafina.
5. Con un trapo húmedo y jabonoso limpie la cubeta. No vierta agua en la cubeta.
6. Llene la cubeta con parafina hasta el nivel apropiado.
- Contraindicaciones -
1. Las personas sensibles a la temperatura deben probar la parafina en la parte
interior de la muñeca antes de aplicar la parafina en la zona a tratar.
2. No aplique la parafina en verrugas, cortes, piel inflamada, zonas en las que la
circulación periférica sea dificultosa, zonas con inflamaciones agudas, o
cuando la sensación en la extremidad esté ausente o reducida. Si existe
alguna duda consulte a su médico.
3. El tratamiento debe interrumpirse si aparecen síntomas de dermatitis debido a
una hipersensibilidad hacia la parafina, o también si la parafina resulta demasiado
caliente o fría, lo cual indica posibles problemas físicos.

PRECAUTIONS: Afin de réduire le risque d’une décharge électrique:
Comme dans la plupart des appareils, les parties électriques de ce Chauffe
Paraffine sont actives tant que la fiche bipolaire reste branchée au réseau.
1. Nous conseillons de débrancher la fiche bipolaire lorsque vous n´utilisez pas
votre appareil.
2. Ne pas utiliser l´appareil si celui-ci peut tomber accidentellement dans une
baignoire ou dans un lavabo.
3. Si l´appareil tombe dans l´eau, ne pas essayer de le récupérer. Débranchez
immédiatement l´appareil.
4. Ne jamais brancher l´appareil si le cable ou la fiche bipolaire sont détériorées,
l´appareil ne fonctionne pas correctement ou bien celui-ci est tombé dans l´eau.
Contacter le service technique le plus proche.
5. Maintenir l´appareil éloigné des surfaces chaudes.
6. Ne jamais utiliser l´appareil à l´air libre, près d´aérosols qui contiennent de
l´oxygène ou bien des appareils qui produisent ce même gaz.
7. Utiliser cet appareil sur une surface plane, et placer celui-ci de façon à ne pas le
heurter.
8. Ne jamais enrouler le cable autour de l´appareil ni utiliser de rallonge.
9. Ne jamais dépasser la limite lorsque vous remplissez votre appareil de paraffine.

CONSERVER CES INSTRUCTIONS
- Traitement de Paraffine -
Sachant que la chaleur soulage la douleur de l´arthrite, bursite et tendonite,
pendant des années les médecins ont recommandé la Paraffine chauffée comme
traitement pour leurs patients.
La Paraffine est une cire, il s´agit d´un derivé du pétrole, qui a d´excellentes
propriétés curatrices grâce à la rétention de chaleur. La couche de Paraffine entoure la
peau avec la chaleur accroissant la circulation et ouvrant les pores garantissant des effets
semblables à un mini-sauna. La peau qui est parfois sèche et rugueuse devient
fraîche et douce.
Ajourd´hui, Depilève introduit ce traitement apaisant dans les salons
d´esthétique sous la forme d´un soin cosmétique complémentaire pour les mains et les
pieds. Ces soins sont non seulement agréables pour le client, mais également faciles à
prodiguer.
- Indications -
1. Contrôler la température de la paraffine sur la face interne de votre
poignet pour vérifier sa température. Si vous êtes allergique ou vous
avez des problèmes circulatoires, consultez votre médecin.
2. Ne pas trop remplir l´appareil. Le niveau de paraffine doit toujours être situé
entre le “Min” et “Max” de la cuvette.
3. Ne jamais faire chauffer la paraffine à l´intérieur des sacs en plastique, ni sur un
appareil, ni sur une cuisinière, ni dans un micro-ondes.
4. Ne jamais utiliser l´appareil sans la Paraffine.
5. Ne jamais vider l´appareil avec la paraffine liquide.
6. Ne jamais verser d´eau dans la cuvette, ni immerger l´appareil dans l´eau.
7. Ne pas utiliser le Chauffe Paraffine si le cable d´alimentation est endommagé
et s´assurer qu´il n´est pas en contact avec les surfaces chaudes.
8. Utiliser cet appareil sur une surface plane.

9. N´ajouter aucun additif, lotion ni cire à la paraffine.
10. Ce soin est contre indiqué pour les clients affectés de problèmes circulatoires,
d´irritations, verrues ou coupures.

- Fonctionnement -
Ce Chauffe Paraffine est équipé avec un thermostat électronique réglable. Le
réglage de la température se réalise entre 50 et 58º Centigrades (122 a 136º Fahrenheit).
La Paraffine fond entre 2 et 3 heures. La capacité de paraffine sera de 3 kg, ce qui
permet un traitement de 24 paires de mains et 16 paires de pieds, permettant 5
immersions par main ou bien par pied.
- Instructions -
1. Connecter l´appareil à une prise correcte.
2. Retirer le couvercle et la grille.
3. Retirer la paraffine du sac en plastique et mettre entre 2 et 2,7 Kg. à l’intérieur de
la cuvette.
4. Mettre le couvercle sur l´appareil pour retenir la chaleur. Fixer le bouton de
commande sur le 10 pendant une heure et demie puis réduire entre le “1” et le
“3”. N´introduisez aucun membre du corps lorsque le bouton de commande est
entre le “6” et le “10”.
5. Le niveau de paraffine doit toujours être placé entre le “MIN” et “Max” de la cuvette.
6. Si la Paraffine est trop chaude, baisser la température pour que celle ci
refroidisse plus rapidement.

UTILISÉE AVEC CET APPAREIL.
La paraffine Depilève a un point de fusion plus bas à cause de sa formule
spéciale à base d´huiles et adoucissants pour faciliter l´enlévement de la paraffine.
L´appareil est préparé pour être utilisé à une température de 18º à 27ºC ou bien 64 à
81º F.
NE JAMAIS PLACER L´APPAREIL PRÈS D´UNE FENÉTRE ENSOLEILLÉE, PRÈS D´UN
RADIATEUR, D´UN CLIMATISEUR PUISQUE CEUX CI PEUVENT MODIFIER LA
TEMPERATURE DE LA PARAFFINE, LA RENDANT PLUS FROIDE OU PLUS CHAUDE.
Le thermostat électronique controle la temperature de la paraffine. Le
pilote du thermostat s´allumera et s´éteindra de façon intermittente pendant le
fonctionnement normal de l´appareil. Ceci signifie que le chauffe paraffine fonctionne
correctement.
Si le pilote du thermostat ne s´éteint pas ou s´il s´allume pendant un temps
considérable, le thermostat de sécurité s´activera et automatiquement éteindra
l´appareil. Par la suite nous vous prions de retourner l´appareil pour sa réparation.
Cet appareil a été conçu spécifiquement pour être utilisé avec la paraffine
DEPILÈVE (point de fusion plus bas). L’utilisation de cet appareil avec une
autre paraffine est sous la responsabilité de l’utilisateur.
