Connecting to a Single DC Power Source
To connect a single external DC power source to the 2020 IMG:
1. Turn OFF the existing external power source and disconnect it from the power
supply.
Warning! Failure to turn the power OFF at the source may result in electrical
shock.
2. Attach the wires from the external power source to the DC power module plug.
3. Insert the plug into the DC power module.
4. Reconnect the external power source and turn the power ON.
5. Press the ON button on the front of the server.
Connecting to a Redundant DC Power Source
To connect a redundant DC power source to the 2020 IMG, follow the Connecting to a Single
Power Source procedure.
Note: Do not turn off power to the primary -48 V DC module or the unit will shut down.
DC power cables
A 500 mm DC power pigtail cable is included with DC systems. If you require a longer cable,
the 4 m cable is available for order (P/N BDN-CBL-1000).
Caution: The color specifications for the DC power cables are not identical. Be sure to
review the specifications that are shipped with your cable before installation.

Connecting to the Network
Complete the following steps to connect the 2020 IMG to the network:
1. Access the online WebHelp at http://www.dialogic.com/manuals/img/img1.1.aspx.
2. Refer to the Installing the Software section in the online WebHelp.
3. Review the options for installing the software and choose the appropriate installation
method for your site.
4. Install the software.
5. Follow the instructions for configuring the IP address and setting the system software
file name as described in the online WebHelp.
6. Using a shielded Ethernet cable, connect CTRL 0 or CTRL 1 to your network Ethernet
switch. Use the CTRL Ethernet connectors on the rear of the 2020 IMG for network
management.
Depending on the configuration, the binary downloads from either an SD card or from an
FTP server that you configured. Once the binary downloads, you can begin the configuration
as described in the online WebHelp. You will connect the remaining cables as you configure
the system.
