ABOUT HAIREGEN
Hairegen is a personal use scalp stimulation device that helps improve
hair thickness and density. When used according to instructions, Hairegen
provides the scalp with multiple forms of stimulations: optical *, physical,
electrical and biochemical. The device is suitable for men and women.

3. Base
The base is a docking and charging station for the applicator. The
base also controls the applicator’s stimulation profile and enables
communication with a computer.
4. USB cable and power adaptor
Astandard micro-USB cable provides power to the base and data
connectivity to an optional PC or Mac data presentation software
(Personal Trainer). The USB cable connects to a standard USB power
adapter or a powered USB port.
PREPARING FOR USE
1. Connecting the USB cable to the base
Connect the USB cable to the port at the bottom of the base.
Connect the other end of the USB cable to the provided power supply,
or a powered USB port.
Place the base on a stable flat surface, with the cable facing down
and the applicator’s cradle facing up.
2. Replaceable cartridge
The cartridge is the component that comes in contact with the scalp
and delivers the stimulations. The cartridge must be connected to
the aplicator. The cartridge is for personal use only. The cartridge has
limited usage time and can be replaced by the user.

•Keep the device away from children.
•The device is not to be used by children. Persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
may use Hairegen only under supervision.
•"Class 1" laser product. Do not shine the red laser
light into the eyes*.

•Do not remove the cartridge while the applicator
is turned on.
•Keep the device away from water or wet areas.
•Do not use on wet hair.
•Store and operate the device at normal room
temperature.
•Avoid using the device if it was dropped, physically
damagedor wet.Incaseofmalfunction pleasecontact
the seller, do not try to fix the problem by yourself.
•Donotusethedeviceifthecartridgediscsaredamaged.
Do not use Hairegen in case of:
•History of contact allergies.
•Pregnancy.
•Scars, moles, wounds or other lesions on the
treated scalp areas.
•
Scalp disorders such as eczema, seborrheic
dermatitis, psoriasis, actinic (solar) keratosis, acne,
rosacea, infections, other inflammatory conditions
or other chronic conditions.
•Treatment now or within the past 6 months with
retinoids.
Discontinue using Hairegen if experiencing any
significant discomfort during or after usage.
Excessive use beyond recommendations may cause
discomfort or irritation

4. Selecting a stimulation profile
When the base is powered and the applicator is properly cradled, the
3 touch buttons I - II - III are lit.
Each button corresponds to a specific stimulation profile. The button
represents the chosen profile of the applicator. Profile selection is
enabled only while the base is powered and the applicator is cradled.
Touch a dimly lit button to select its corresponding stimulation
profile. When selected, the active profile button will light up
brighter than the others.
USING HAIREGEN
• Remove the applicator from the base.
• Shortly press the applicator’s button. Within a few seconds,
following a self-test period, the applicator emits a startup
sound and begins to vibrate.
• To modify the vibration intensity, press the applicator’s button
repeatedly, cycling through 3 vibration intensity levels.
• To turn off the applicator, press the button continuously for a
couple seconds, or place the applicator in the powered base.
After a few seconds, the applicator emits a shutdown tune and
turns off.
• Theapplicatorautomaticallyshutsdowninanyofthe followingevents:
• Applicator is cradled in a powered base.
• Stimulation profile limit is reached.
• Low battery level.
• A malfunction occurs.
• For effective treatment, roll the applicator in short movements
back and forth over the scalp areas requiring treatment.
Repeat this motion over the entirety of the treated area until
the session is completed.
• In case of intense use some discomfort and tingling from the
micro currents may be felt. This actually indicates the treatment
is vigorous and effective. If the discomfort level is high, reduce
the pressure of the disks on the scalp.
• When there is suboptimal contact between the scalp and the disks,
the applicator will beep. The cause may be insufficient pressure,
having too few disks in contact with the scalp or too much hair under
the disks. Try slowing down the rolling, improving the hold of the
applicator and increasing the pressure of the device on the scalp.
• If the warning does not stop, your scalp might be too dry for
Hairegen to work properly. If this happens, use the humidifier –
fill with clean water and dampen your scalp, for long hair lightly
dampen the partings. Do not wet your hair.
• When the contact with the scalp is sufficient, the applicator emits
red laser light (LLLT) from between the disks. The red laser light
turns off when contact is poor*.
• Beginners are encouraged to use stimulation profile I, and
proceed to stimulation profile II a couple of weeks later. If the
intensity and duration are too demanding, remain on profile I
for longer.
• Profile III is intended for users with long or dense hair. For such
users, it is recommended to part the hair and roll the applicator
back and forth across the parting line in short movements for
5-10 seconds, then move on to another area or parting line,
repeating the action for the duration of the treatment.
The applicator will shut down upon profile program completion.

STIMULATION PROFILES
2. Attaching the cartridge to the applicator
Remove the cartridge from its packaging.
Ensure that the disks roll freely by spinning them a couple of times.
Verify that the disks are not bent.
Firmly push the cartridge into the applicator until it clicks into place.
3. Charging the applicator
The base should be connected to a USB power source via the cable.
The cartridge should be firmly connected to the applicator.
The applicator should be fully inserted into the base. If unsure,
remove and replace.
When cradled in the base, the applicator’s light turns on, and the
configuration buttons on the base turn on a few seconds later.
If the battery needs charging, the applicator’s light will be orange
while charging.
When the battery is fully charged, the light turns green.
It is recommended to keep the applicator in the base and have the
base powered at all times.

REPLACING THE CARTRIDGE
The disks of the cartridge come in contact with the scalp, and thus
the cartridge is for personal use only. With time and usage, the
performance degrades. The usage of the cartridge is therefore
monitored and the user is alerted when it needs to be replaced.
When the cartridge usage exceeds 80% of its designed lifetime, a
“Replace cartridge” alert will flash on the base.
When the cartridge reaches its designed lifetime, the warning light
“Replace cartridge” will remain on continuously on the base and
the device will no longer turn on with that cartridge.
When attempting to turn on the applicator with an empty cartridge,
the light on the applicator will flash red a few times.
REMOVING THE CARTRIDGE
Hold the applicator with one hand and the protrusions at the
cartridge’s end with the other.
Pull the cartridge out firmly.
Push the new cartridge in until it clicks into place.
MAINTENANCE
Keep all parts of the device clean and dry.
The base and applicator should be cleaned with a dry cloth. Do not
use solvents to clean any part of the Hairegen kit.
The disks and the area between them can be cleaned with a brush.
For sanitary purposes, roll the disks on a 70% alcohol pad, and dry
them before use.
Every 2 months, remove the cartridge and wipe the surfaces clean
with a dry cloth.
DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING
The applicator contains a rechargeable battery. Please follow all
relevant disposal regulations.
