DS smart™Hardware Assembly Instructions
We have pre-assembled several components for you.To complete hardware assembly, please
view the assembly video and begin with Chapter 6,“Attaching the Tablet Holder to the Stand”
or use instructions below.

Tablet Case,Tablet Mount & Power Strip Assembly
You will need a small flathead screwdriver,
a medium Phillips screwdriver and hex key
(included) for assembly. Alternatively, you could
use a power screwdriver/drill set. Please lock the
wheels on the bottom of the vital signs monitor
stand prior to continuing with assembly.

1Attaching the Tablet Holder to the
Stand: Tablet mounting arm should
be attached to the stand pole
approximately 8" below the vital
signs monitor using the hex key and
screws.Tablet holder should face
the front of the vital signs monitor.
From bottom of tablet, tilt mount
assembly all the way up, ending
in a 45-degree angle.Then, lock
in place by moving lever at top of
tablet to the right.
2Attaching the Power Strip to the Stand: The
power strip should face the back and the cord
assembly the front.Top of power strip should be
approximately 6" from the bottom of the basket
and the plugs should be upside down.
3Putting Tablet into Tablet Holder: If the tablet
holder is closed, twist the key in the lock to
open the tablet holder. Push lever from left to
right. Lock and remove the key and store in
a safe place.
6Attaching Cord Clips: Secure the white tablet
USB cable to stand pole using the three clips as
shown. Note that the clips arrive with the vital
signs monitor stand.
5Attach the Stylus: The stylus should
be attached into the headphone
jack at the top right of the tablet.
4Connecting Equipment Cables: Plug gray vital signs monitor power cord into
the second outlet on the power strip. Plug in white tablet charger to power strip
and connect white USB tablet cable to charger. Plug white USB tablet cable into
top left of tablet.
